I get that the general consensus is that Peggle 1 is better than Peggle 2, but honestly, I think Peggle 2 edges it out in a lot of ways, especially when it comes to sound design and gameplay. The ball physics and map design in Peggle 2 just feel so much more refined, and it’s way more satisfying to play competitively. There’s a noticeable difference in how the ball moves and bounces, and the way it interacts with the pegs feels a lot more responsive, which makes aiming and pulling off tricky shots more rewarding. The maps in Peggle 2 are also more intricate and offer more opportunities for strategy. It feels like there’s more room for skill expression compared to the simpler layouts in the first game. Don’t get me wrong, I still love Peggle 1, but Peggle 2 definitely improves on the core gameplay, making it more competitive and fun. The sound design is another area where Peggle 2 shines—it’s just more immersive, with a great soundtrack and satisfying audio cues that make every shot feel exciting. That said, I do wish they had kept the art style from the first game or Peggle Nights. The new art style in Peggle 2 isn’t bad, but it does feel like a bit of a shift. I understand what they were going for, and I’m fine with it, but there’s something about the original style that just felt more... energetic and colorful. Still, despite the critiques I’ve seen online, I think Peggle 2 is one of the best entries in the series and it’s definitely one of my personal favorites.
peggle nights>peggle 2>peggle 1>peggle blast IMO
Anyone has single clue on how going against the computer works?
Someone at least tell me why I keep on loosing points during those challenges
No one else should ever do this again
decided to play out the rest of this failing 1,000,000 point challenge
I am a pinball player and am tempted to build a peggle game that actually uses a physical ball. Has anyone ever seen anything like this? I don't want to waste my time if it's been done.
Hi all, I'm creating a roguelite game inspired by Peggle, Slay The Spire and Pokémon named PegMon and I'm looking for Peggle enthusiasts who'd like to test and give feedback to the game.

was trying to go on memory lane replaying every popcap game, realizing i had never tried peggle 2, i decidded it was finally time....
just to my surprise... for some reason it is a console exclusive TEN YEARS AFTER ITS RELEASE, to me, peggle and most og popcap games are cute pc games to kill some time, not something that you would need to boot a whole different hardware to play, like yeah i guess u can emulate it, but why wont they just release it already... at least as a gamepass exclusive for pc if the are reluctant of putting it on pc, did they really thought "oh yess , peggle 2, thats definitelly a console seller"??
Hey guys, I am new to the Peggle community so I hope this is okay here. I am doing a project where I am attempting to implement some different algorithms as potential "AI "opponents in Peggle. I created a very simple clone of Peggle (I know how limited it is, this is a test-run) and I had some different algorithms play it. I am hoping to get the community's opinions on which one plays the most like a human. Would anyone take 15 minutes to look at the survey and vote on each bot's human-like-ness?
Okay hear me out. Peggle has some insane competitive potential. My brother and I occasionally duel in peggle 1 and honestly there's a lot of skill and strategy. I'm thinking the competitive potential could kinda be crazy. I'm imagining two modes.
One would be the regular duel mode where you're both playing on the same board and take turns. I feel that in my experience it honestly isn't a big advantage to go first. That being said, I think opponents should play an equal number of games where one player starts first/second. There's honestly a lot of competitive possibility here.
Character selection: my brother and I always just play random, but choosing good characters for levels, especially to possibly counter your opponent could be a valuable skill.
Making lower point shots (or even getting a disqualification) to hinder your opponent. Ive found that in levels where there's a "core" that needs to be opened up my brother and I will spend a lot of time dancing around the edges just making sure we hit at least 1 orange so that the other player can't get easy points in the core next turn. This gets very competitive near the end of the game when there's hard to hit red pegs. Sometimes someone in the lead will even intentionally hit nothing just betting on the fact that the other player won't be able to make the shot and will also get disqualified.
Shot clock: assuming this became a real thing, would definitely like to see the implementation of a shot clock. Imagine high stakes, fast Peggle where you only have 10 seconds or less to think of a shot and line it up (this gets especially hectic with purples changing spots every round)
The other mode would be more like Classic Tetris duels. Both players would play the same map on different devices but with the same seed, e.g. the map would have oranges/greens in the same spot and purples would move to the same locations (as much as possible). This would require some modding, or for Popcap to get involved and release a special version where you could put in a seed. This mode would be for people with the deepest and most impressive Peggle knowledge. Whoever scores more points wins.
1: Character Selection: It would be a huge factor here. Do you go zenshot for consistency? Maybe take a big risk with Lucky shot (might have to be tweak or ban Warren now that I think about it....). Maybe you're feeling crazy and go kat tut, who knows.
Reaction to different layouts and purple changes: Even if you have insane game knowledge, it will still take practice and experience to know what the best shot is going to be with the given layout.
Playing style differences: playing style differences could honestly be so interesting from a viewer stand point: someone might try and get as many easy bucket shots as possible while someone might just go right for huge scoring plays. Honestly I could see both versions of competitive Peggle being very interesting to watch. Clutch moments happen all the time in peggle.
Bucket skills: honestly probably going to be one of the biggest makers/breakers. If you can get really good at predicting/practicing bucket shots, it's going to give you a huge advantage over your opponent.
Once again, shot clock:
Honestly, I know this will probably get like 2 upvotes at most and be taken seriously by no one, but I really think Peggle has a very interesting and serious competitive potential. If you read this all, let me know what you think and let me know if you would play competitive Peggle🙏
how to record peggle on obs? its comes on as a black screen.
