The JBL Cruise is a 40-watt handlebar-mounted Bluetooth speaker designed for motorcycles, scooters and ATVs. Reviews are decent, so I’m trying to figure out how much it would drain the battery if I wire directly into the battery (through the switch under the triangle).
Is it as simple as the math suggested by u/SJRides a while back? Watts divided by volts equals amps.... Amp hours of the battery divided by amps is how many hours I’d get (were there nothing else being powered).
So 40 watts / 12 volts = 3.3 amps or nearly 8 hours from a 26 Ah battery?

I think this would be a great way to make a few bucks without having to work for a pedicab company, and one could make their own schedule easily. I live in a metro area near a lot of night life, and want to try this approach "under the table" where it's basically me, a sign, and a pedicab I bought off Craigslist, cash only exchange, etc.
I'm trying to figure out all the laws and gauge if this is a risky endeavor or not.
Anybody done something like this before?
This sub seems dead, but I figured I'd give it a shot.
I recently started working on a fleet of Main Street Pedicabs in San Francisco and I'd love to talk shop with other wrenches. There are obviously some differences between Pedicabs and regular bikes and it might be helpful to talk about workarounds, upgrades and retrofits.
My current project is wiring in motorcycle headlights to the running light system for safety and to comply with SF's rules about pedicabs.
So I was interested in getting a hand-pulled rickshaw to pull my kids around the neighborhood in, and I can't seem to really find anything on the internet.
Are there any US based suppliers or good priced suppliers that I could buy just one hand-pulled cart from?
