Peanuts is a comic strip written by Charles M. Schulz that originally appeared in newspapers from 1950 until 2000. It focuses entirely on the social life of a group of children, with Charlie Brown in its center. The strip is driven by the complex tangle of relationships that evolve throughout, particularly loneliness, insecurity, and unrequited love. It is one of the most literate newspaper comics, covering philosophical, psychological, and sociological themes.
With 17,897 strips published in all, there is an endless amount of material worth discussing and celebrating.
The strip also had numerous animated adaptations, most notably the holiday television specials A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965) and It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown (1966), but also movies such as A Boy Named Charlie Brown (1969) and The Peanuts Movie (2015).

My husband bought me this I had a Belle teddy when I was 5 so this bag brings back happy memories .Do you remember Belle
Couple of characters get lost at night in the woods, maybe. One of them has wintergreen lifesavers and chews them for the spark to light up their way. I am positive it was in Peanuts strip, but I am also old, so maybe not.....
I’m curious to hear hopes for the upcoming movie. I will be making a bingo card from these suggestions.
I’m sure a lot of you would agree with me, but this would also mean that the film’s Aesop of living your life still going on even if you’re a huge underachiever would be lost.
I have a memory of two or three of the Peanuts gang leaning on the brick wall and at one point referring to “lonesome sounds” one was a train whistle and I think one was a wolf howling. Any leads?
I know of three Charlie Brown specials that mention God: Charlie Brown Christmas, Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, and Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown. Are there any others?
I was doing some digging but came up short. Does anyone know what year they stopped making these?
thank you!
Is there a collection of all of the peanut specials put together? And if not what is the best way to get my hands on all of them in the least amount of discs or tapes?
Hey all, I’m a middle school librarian who loves peanuts. I have a Jack-o-lantern snoopy I bring out at Halloween that dances and my kids LOVE it.
For the end of the school year, I’m making a “yearbook” for my book club students and I wanted to include a page with peanuts strips referencing libraries. Share/link me to your favorites!
Thanks!
There's this scene from a Peanuts cartoon that's been running around in my head for a while, but I can't remember where it was from.
Peppermint Patty and Marcie are in school, and Patty is excited that art class is coming up. She gets started on a picture right away and shows it to the teacher. Then, she starts working on it some more and gets really into it. With every addition she makes, she starts leaning forward on her desk, eventually leaning so far forward that she starts drawing on top of Marcie. By the time she finishes the drawing, she is literally sitting on top of Marcie's head.
I remember seeing that clip when I was a kid and thought it was one of the funniest scenes ever. Even now, I'm laughing as I think back on it. But I can't remember where it was from, and I can't find a clip on YouTube. Can someone help?
Got the inspiration when Ohtani ripped the 118 mph rocket the other day.
