PandasAI

Hey there! I am playing with this library and I wonder if it is possible to change the LLM model provider. Specifically, I would like to replace OpenAI for any other (like Huggin, etc).

Do any of you have experience on this? How should I change the setup?

(First time I in this group, so apologies if I am missing something)

Date columns are 8 days ahead after using "read_excel" method!!!

Hello people,

I have an Excel file that has multiple columns including a "date" column as "YYYY-MM-DD" and it is Persian date (Shamsi). When I use "read_excel" method to convert this Excel file into a pandas Dataframe, all "date" rows converts to "datetime" objects that are exactly 8 days ahead, I mean:

"1402-11-08" in Excel "date" column converts to "datetime(1402, 11, 16, 0, 0)".

Why is that?

I found that this may be due to different date origins used for Excel and Pandas. I can convert dates to correct dates using a "timedelta(days=8)" but is there any other solution for this?

Thanks in advance :)

The Smithsonian National Zoo’s three pandas are heading back to China

Why are the pandas leaving?

The cooperative breeding agreement with the China Wildlife Conservation Association and the National Zoo is expiring. The initial 10-year agreement with China began in Dec. 2000 and has been renewed three times since 2010.

When are the pandas leaving?

It is unknown when they are going to leave the National Zoo. The contract expires on Dec. 7, so the pandas must return to China by that date.

Who are the pandas?

The National Zoo currently has three pandas. Tian Tian, an adult male, Mei Xiang, an adult female, and their son Xiao Qi Ji.

The names are Mandarin Chinese, with Tian Tian meaning “more and more,” Mei Xiang meaning “beautiful fragrance” and Xiao Qi Ji meaning “little miracle.”

Tian Tian and Mei Xiang were both born and raised at the China Research and Conservation Center for the Giant Panda in Wolong, Sichuan Province. Xiao Qi Ji was born in the United States in 2020.

Why is this important?

The pandas are one of the most popular attractions at the National Zoo. This will be the first time in over 20 years that no pandas are at the zoo.

Once the pandas leave, Zoo Atlanta will be the only zoo in the U.S. to have pandas. Yet, the four pandas there are expected to return to China next year when their agreement expires.
