Hello! I'm hoping to snag a campsite for few nights at the Grapevine Campground by Fort Smith Mt. We are bring blow up kayaks.
Can somebody recommend a good place to start our boating adventure? We don't mind driver to a boat ramp ~1hr. We prefer a more calm water as my husband gets see sick sometime(Dramamine helps a lot).
It will be our first trip to the canyon and we are not very familiar with water levels etc. If it's better to camp closer to south end on the canyon I will consider it as well. I would prefer a place that we can reserve though as we will be driving for 9 hours to get there in the first place. TIA!

P.S. Also posted on r/canoeing but got zero suggestions.
