I'm thinking about getting a canoe or a kayak to fish some of the lakes, bigger creeks, and rivers in my area.
I usually fish alone, so if I fish a creek or a river, I will have to get myself back upstream to wherever I have parked, or I will have to park downstream, paddle upstream, and float back down.
I know that the difficulty of paddling upstream is going to depend on the flow in the given body of water, so there's no universal answer to my question.
But generally speaking, how hard is it to paddle upstream in a creek or river? And is it easier to paddle a canoe or a kayak upstream?
Thanks in advance.
