Personally I think it’s the place in between life and death and the deeper you go into the unknown the closer you get to either heaven or hell. I think this because after Greg and Wirt fall “over the garden wall” they die and go to the unknown. Once the escape the unknown they escape death. Over the Garden Wall is also a soft retelling of Dante’s Inferno which is a similar concept of going deeper and deeper to hell. And iirc there’s tombstones with some of the people in the unknowns names on them. I think everyone in the unknown doesn’t really know they’re dead and just continues life. Greg and Wirt are the exception
With finale I mean the last two-three episodes.
I live in Mexico so Over the Garden Wall is available at Max but it has no subtitles. Im rewatching it but this time with my dad and I realized the Latin American Spanish dub makes the dialogue sound rushed and kinda goofy, which takes away the magic of the original voices in my opinion.
Usually I would just put it in the original language with subs but Max doesn't have any sub options, and my dad's English isn't sharp enough to understand everything without subs of any kind.
Does anyone know of a website or anything where I can safely watch the last episodes in English with subs? (doesn't matter if it's English subs or Spanish subs)
Is there anything more to Over the GARDEN WALL? I watched the show and I love it, I'm not sure what actually happened but it's amazing and I love watching it again and seeing the little details. So is there more to it? I'm fine with official or fan content (I prefer official). books? Comics? something? Is there anything more to Over the GARDEN WALL? I'm probably very late to the game, but I just realized Greg hides behind the grave of Quincy Endicott in e10.
The original drawing was made by u/Purple_Wanderer, I asked for permission to use the original art so I draw it and paint it myself. Here are the end results! Hope you like it
Years ago when i was a teenager, (around 2016) i experienced my first of many instances of sleep paralysis. I saw a figure that looked just like The Beast on the edge of my bed, whispering something very fast and in an indistinct language in my ear. I saw them about 5 or 6 more times, all paired with sleep paralysis. The figure looked just like the beast except it had these beady, glowing red eye. After i stopped seeing it, i still hot chronic sleep paralysis. Multiple times a week usually, for about 3 years. I had already watched OTGW and was a fan, and i remember how much i loved the beast's design. I never even realized till today how similar my hallucination and the beast looked. When i talked about my experience to other people i always told them it was a tall, dark figure with antlers. I remember i even drew it the morning of the first incident so i wouldnt forget what it looked like. A few years later i found out my mom saw the same figure in her bedroom, she said she had exiled it with prayer but later dreamed that it ran to my bedroom. And this all lines up to when I saw the figure. My grandma is very spiritual and sensed that there was an evil in my house so she came and prayed on the house one day when it was empty. I didnt know about this part until i was already out of HS. But the timeline also syncs up to when i stopped seeing the figure. I've done my research and read other people's similar experiences, but none of them have ever talked about an antler man. It's not uncommon for people to see these shadow figures ive learned. Many have seen a shadow man with a hat, and im sure theres an entire subreddit for that guy. Anywho, i was just wondering if theres any insight into whoever designed The Beast, maybe they saw the same thing i did. Has anyone seen any similar things?
My digital drawing practice may or may not have been influenced but last weekend’s watch….
The moment I saw this guy I knew I had to make him in glass! What should I make next??? You can see more of my work on my website beaconhillglassco or on IG at beacon_hill_glass

This song was written in 1927, but was lost media. So, this guy used sheet music to resurrect it. Kinda cool.

Kinda hard not to associate this song with Ryan Adams, that musician who got me-too’d and also had a hit song called “Come Pick Me Up”
