Realizing, when I watched "live" I lost interest mid season 3 and completely missed 4 and 5. Not overly impressed with the plot, but it is interesting. Please tell me the show has a good ending.

A testament to her great and impressive work on the show is that I continually have to double-take in shot/reverse-shots with two or more clones, because the movements are so clearly EXACTLY like Tatiana Maslany's performances as the other clones, but... it's NOT!

For example, the shot in S1 of Sarah-as-Beth and Art leaving the station and Helena slowly creeping out to enter the station as they leave -- it's clearly Tatiana playing Sarah-as-Beth, but the movements are SO Tatiana's Helena-coded that you think for a moment it's got to be some sort of special-effects shot... and then, you remember: KATHRYN ALEXANDRE.

To this day, to her credit, Tatiana still brings Kathryn up whenever the show is brought up to her, and praises her work. For every clone Tatiana had to play, Kathryn also did, and so perfectly that we don't even twig to it -- that's how convincing it is. And I mean EVERY clone. Brava to Tat and Kat, both! :-)

The behind the scenes footage that the BBC America published on the dance scene in the apartment was made is absolutely amazing.

Came back to this yeaaars later because I think my partner would be interested in it. It used to be all over the place back in the day but now I can't find it on AppleTV+, Disney, Prime, Netflix, or Channel 4. Only a season-by-season purchase option of around £100 total on Amazon prime which is extortionate. Anyone know if any UK streaming service still has it?

Help me out here, I'm doing a rewatch because I always feel like I miss important bits and never fully understand.

In season 4 when Sarah discovers she has the maggot bot in her cheek, she says something about having gotten it when she was in Dyad. But when she was in Dyad for the oophorectomy, she never actually got put under (pencil in Rachel's eye, Marion Bowles releases her). Was there another time she had surgery in Dyad?

On a similar note, at the end of season 3 we see Dr Nealon bite his own bot out and try to spit it into Delphine's mouth. But since the bots are custom to each person, his bot shouldn't do anything to Delphine. Also wouldn't he have activated the bot's defense by biting it out? I'm wondering if they did that at the end of S3 without fully deciding what the bots would be for.

Okay so I want to make an edit for my girlfriend, she absolutely adores Felix.
So I was thinking of doing the female clones, male clones, extras (like Felix, Siobhan) and the dead. All seperately.
But for that I need scene packs/ scenes. Which I currently do not have.

In short: I would like to use scenepacks for my edit, with or without audio.

So I was wondering if there’s a list somewhere of DVD Easter eggs for Orphan Black? I don’t mean like Hey Leekie has the same first name as Aldous Huxley. But more in the way of hidden features on DVDs. Like insert disk 1, select the setup menu and click on the left arrow… etc.

Hi! The BBC America site has removed all the Orphan Black stuff, including the blog that I basically inhaled after first watching the show. I guess it's lost forever? Just checking because it sure would be nice if it wasn't.

Do we know what type of creature was used for the base product? Was it ever said how long it took to develop?

If not... does anyone have some entomology knowledge to entertain what would be ideal for the maggot bot's creation and what may go into the process?

I don't remember much information being given about it other than its use.

Watching the show for the first time and just reached the finale of Season 1.

I was wondering about the children and other kids. Everyone knew about Alison cheating with Chad in school area and then Ainsley died. Wouldn't the kids at school target Alison's children with that whole fiasco? They would be school pariah won't they?

Would they address this in future episode? Or it's not important enough?

Unpopular opinion,I've just watched 3 seasons of orphan black and i have to say, my favorite character is Helena (alongside Cosima cause that girl is vibes). I have so much sympathy for her knowing what she's been through and it pisses me so much to see everyone treat her so badly because she's mentally unstable and unpredictable. All she wants is to belong and be w her family but she constantly gets screwed over. Finally at the end of season 2 she gets to be w her sisters and they accept her... then she gets taken??? I just wanna see my girl win omds. Sorry this kinda turned into a rant.

… and I have to wonder if Beth knew about the Proletheans killing off the European clones?

I remember Cosima in S1 when Sarah called in a panic after Katja was shot. Cosima said something to the effect that someone is killing them. Then we had Alison’s outburst when Sarah was inducted into Clone Club.

But here, it’s shown that Beth wasn’t that close to Cosima or even Alison. She held her cards close, and only MK knew everything Beth was up to at that time.

I don't even know where this channel came from. Always had the regular AMC channel, but all of a sudden this second version has popped. Get in some binge watching while you can.

So what if Beth somehow knew Sarah would steam her identity and figure everything out and save everyone like Beth tried to do but didn't think she could without putting her sisters at risk? Like maybe, she left her bag there because she hoped another clone would happen to be there and witness it? I know that doesn't make much sense and I'm probably just grasping at straws. I just kind of wish that they had met before or at least Beth had knowledge of Sarah and S somehow. So we know from a flash back episode Felix had been to the police station and also Sarah's prints were on file so, is it possible that Beth had knowledge of Sarah that way and knew Sarah would be there that day somehow?

For me, I think it was a scene in the 2nd or 3rd season, where Sarah, Cosmina, and Allison were all on Allison's porch talking or arguing about something. I suddenly thought back to something I had read years prior about the Olsen twins on Full House. As the girls became old enough that twins weren't needed because of time constraints for shooting infants, the directors would choose which one to use for any given scene based on the scene's tone. Mary Kate excelled at conveying certain emotions while Ashley excelled at conveying others. It made me wonder whether something similar was done with Orphan Black, rotating the actors into each of the characters to maximize their individual strengths.

And then it hit me.

Just finished the show a few days ago, and just had a thought regarding a similarity between the clones.

Something I noticed is that many of them have their own self destructive tendencies. Sarah with her running away with Vic when things got tough (among other things), Alison’s issues with alcohol and pill abuse, Helena cutting herself, and Rachel’s obvious list of issues. Which could be said that they had from Kendall, since she had her own issues.

I can’t remember if Casima ever had these issues, closest I can think of to self destructive is getting with Delphine when she wasn’t sure if she was her monitor or not, which isn’t really as bad as these others. We can assume that she ended up with good parents who helped her find healthier coping mechanisms for these things.

This has probably been mentioned at some point, but I personally hadn’t made the connection until now.

Season 1 Ep 9. It looks so bad! I know it’s not real life, how was it not noticed that it needed to be reset? It’s at least 4 cm back from her hairline.

I do love the show though :)
