This dude has been a mysterious character since day 1 basically and we still don't know much.

It has been so long that it has even started a trend which sees him as a fraud since he didn't do shit so far (face to face wise, his tactics are good, we know).

Now that we're in the final arcs of One Piece I wonder if/when we're actually going to see a flashback of his background lol

Based on his recent conversation with Luffy about how he could sink any pirate ship he wanted (ch.1131), and the myth of ships sinking on the sea when they go near the man marked with flames, it could be very much possible that Loki is the man marked with flames.

Also, we haven't seen his whole face till now, which could be marked in flames

Recently I've been trying again to get into One Piece, so far I'm just nearing the end of the Syrup Village arc. My issue is the pacing and static animation, the episodes felt so slow that I decided to switch to the manga and have been enjoying it much more, but I still want to experience the voice acting and animation of the show at some point. My question is: what would be the best point to switch back into the anime? I have no problem with going back and forth between manga and anime at certain points too. I just know certain comedic moments and fights will be much more of a treat to watch than to read.

My theory—or my hypothetical answer to the "plot hole" of Luffy not knowing his Devil Fruit's true name.

It's Imu's fault.

I believe that Imu has a Devil Fruit—one, specifically, that allows him to do the following: rewrite the rules of reality. Maybe it's a Paramecia type, or a Zoan (I'm not sure as to how this would work, but maybe a Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Judge?), but that doesn't really matter.

To keep it short, Imu "rewrote" the name of Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika to Gomu Gomu no Mi. Maybe Imu's Devil Fruit has a weakness of some sort that doesn't enable him to erase things, but simply alter them (permanently or not). I think it's a good balance, to be honest.

On what this would serve storywise:

Imu is a tyrant, first and foremost. A Devil Fruit that enables them to change anything anyway they see fit is no less fitting than Luffy's Devil Fruit allowing him the freedom of fighting anyway he wants.

It's a good parallel; Luffy, who has continuously defied Imu, bends the rules Imu sets. Luffy is free, and Imu takes away freedom through unparalleled jurisdiction.

Just a thought. If there's any theory like this out there somewhere, then I assure you that I didn't copy. The idea just fell into my head. Thanks, and leave some comments down below if you have anything to say?

I've been catching up to one piece for about a year and just reached Marineford, and I was wondering if I should watch the new remake of fishman island when it fully releases or just stay with the original for my first time watch?

When I say side content I mean like the colorwalks, the novels(Ace's, Heroines, etc), the magazines, Sougeki no Sanji , Sanji's Pirate recipe book or whatever its called. Just wondering if anyone has a comprehensive list of everything that's been released or is going to be (Like wanted comes out soon and the heroines novels have pre-orders open)

I have a theory that Loki previously was a Yonko. Do you guys remember the first bounty of Shanks? It was 1.040.000.000 berries back then when he just came to the Goa kingdom. Back then he wasn't a Yonko, cause u can't leave all ur territory with all ur commanders. And your bounty can't be just 1.040.000.000 berries if u are a yonko. So i think he became yonko later. And i think he became yonko 6 years ago by defeating Loki. Loki was chained and captured 6 years ago. And i think Shanks got that crazy bounty for defeating Loki and took his title of Yonko. What do you think about that guys?

I’m wondering if shanks only saved luffy and gave up his arm for him because he knew the value of that devil fruit. He said to whitebeard that he gave it up for the next generation but that must mean he already knew who luffy would become. Shanks has been one of the most illusive characters in one piece that never is there when he could help so I wonder whether he would’ve helped luffy out otherwise had he not eaten the nika fruit

So I already have catched up with the anime earlier this week. Now I'm reading the manga, and theres only like, 20 chapters to go. I can't help but feel empty after all that.
