I'm heading up to Ojai for a day trip this weekend, and I know during Pixies season, many restaurants incorporate them into their food/drink menus. I've been trying to find out where with little success - the Ojai tourism website has some info but it's definitely from a past year (a few places on the list are closed).

All I've been able to confirm from checking around restaurant websites and whatnot are Pixie margaritas at Agave Maria's and The Oak, and Pixie ice creams at Ojai Ice Cream and Sanders and Sons Gelato.

I am a Corpsmember with the Watersheds Stewards Program, and I am partnering with Channel Islands Restoration and Friends of the Santa Clara River to host a volunteer event aiming to improve habitat quality for the federally threatened Southern Steelhead Trout. The event is on April 28th, 2024, from 8:30am-12:30pm on the Sespe Cienega Nature Trail at the Fillmore Fish Hatchery, in Fillmore, CA. 

I am seeking volunteers for the event as this will be a great way to learn about the environment, give back to the community, and celebrate Earth Day! The event will include an educational component regarding ethnobotany and native species in local watersheds. There will also be snacks and a raffle for an REI gift card.

My family and I are visiting Ojai/Ventura for the weekend and I wanted to know where we could park near or in downtown for most of the day since from what I could see most of the public parking zones only have ~3 hr parking.

Any dog friendly restaurant recommendations (for lunch and dinner) would also be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello! My fiancée and I got engaged here in Ojai and are looking to get married in May/June 2025. There are so many beautiful properties in Ojai but it is also of course wildly expensive. In our budget we have about $10k to spend on the venue and are hoping to have a natural meadow/ garden feel. If anyone knows anyone with a gorgeous property that could host 140 people you would be an absolute hero to us.

Driving up fairview and I saw a light figure of a person in the sky toward the ojai valley inn, it actually tripped me our, drove back and saw "MARS" which made me remember that Bezos planned to do a "mars conference" at the inn a while ago so i called a friend whos staying at the inn and they told me that Bezos is staying at the inn but still really weird sight. Anyone else see this?

Hi everyone! I know the 150 between Santa Paula and ojai is currently closed due to the slide but I’m trying to time out a commute if I were to move to ojai this fall. Can anyone tell me how long the drive is between Santa Paula and Ojai via the 150? There isn’t one map app that will route me that way just to even see the timing because of the closure.

Hi everyone. Today at school I was talking to my classroom aid about Ojai restaurant and Diners , Drive in and Dives and she said another classroom aid who works at school. His friend was at Farmer and The Cook about 2 weeks ago and spotted Guy Fieri there. My classroom aid also saw a post on Instagram that someone posted that Guy Feri was also in Downtown Ojai checking out a resturant that begins with S. I think this is super cool that we could potentially see Ojai on Diners, Drive ins and Dives.

Question about county code on keeping chickens in Ojai unincorporated - We have a chicken coop in our back yard and a chicken run. The run has 4 sides and one side is our fence that divides our yard from the neighbor's. Today our retired neighbors were visiting their vacation home and as per usual came over to make their quarterly complaint (it's something different every visit). They said that according to code the run has to be 3 feet from the fence. I can't find anything in VC muni code. Does anyone know what code he is referring to? I'm willing to keep my place up to code but I'm not going to change something about my house or yard every time these people visit just because they have nothing better to do than rubber neck over my fence.
