Hi! I recently was accepted into the BFA Acting as well as the BA of theatre innovation and entrepreneurship programs at OCU. I have a deadline to decide which one I prefer by February 3rd (for scholarship reasons).
I understand based on talking to the faculty that both programs encourage you exploring many areas of theatre instead of just one. I am passionate in directing and tech, but definitely more performance heavy. I also love musical theatre but didn’t want to major in it- however, singing is very important to me.
It is my goal to have a production company one day, which I understand the BA would help me with putting together those skills. However, I’m not sure if I want something more rigorous in performance as the BFA would provide.
Any insight? All is appreciated. Thank you!
So I’m a prospective student for OCU’s Theatre major, specifically Acting. When I heard about the awful and sketchy things about AMDA, I want to make sure I’m not going to be fooled by another university/ college. Just wondering how good the major is and the university as a whole, and if it’s worth the money. Are their hours accredited at other universities? Will I be able to go into an education major with my credits if I wanted to teach instead of acting after awhile?
I just wanted to share this website ratemycourses.io with new students who are not familiar with it.You can use this to look at reviews and get advice on courses you're interested in taking.
And don't forget to add reviews for the courses you took or currently taking!
Hello, I am living on campus over the summer and I don’t know anybody here. I was wondering if there was anything to do here over the summer or any clubs that meet up?
How good are the faculties of computer science department.
Does international students manage to get jobs after completing their masters in this university
Hi Everyone,
I have been working for some time now on this website ratemycourses.io and I am really excited to share it with you.
You can use this to look at reviews and get advice on courses you're interested in. You can also sort courses by difficulty, usefulness and the overall rating from reviews made by other students. I think if enough people start using it regularly. it's going to be essential when you're choosing your electives or just to get advice on courses you will be taking.
Please let me know if there is anything that I should change or what features I should add.
Lastly, filtering and sorting courses is only gonna be useful and accurate if there are a lot of reviews, so please go ahead and leave some reviews to courses you've taken or are currently taking.
Enjoy!!

Researchers at the University of Ottawa would like to conduct 90-minute telephone interviews with anyone who has used mifepristone (also known as the abortion pill, medication abortion, or medical abortion) to end a pregnancy.
You are eligible if you:
- Used mifepristone to have an abortion on or after January 1, 2015
- Were living in Oklahoma at the time
- Are sufficiently fluent in English or French to answer interview questions
- Have access to a telephone, Skype, or Zoom
During the interview, we will ask you series of questions about your background, your reproductive health history, and the circumstances surrounding the pregnancy. We will also ask you to tell us about your experience obtaining an abortion with pills and we will ask you to tell us about ways in which you think that services could be improved.
All participants will receive a $40 gift certificate to www.amazon.com. Participation is both voluntary and confidential. Spots for this study are filled on a first come, first served basis.
Please note that the abortion pill is not the same thing as emergency contraception, also known as Plan B or "the morning after pill."
If you would like more information about the study or research team, or if you are interested in participating, please contact us at ws-stu02@uottawa.ca. You may also contact the Principal Investigator, Dr. Angel M. Foster, at angel.foster@uottawa.ca.

Im currently a uco theatre arts performance student and am aware of the film major offered at ocu. I need experience and have already done movies and stage but nothing im too proud of yet. Large productions tend to do whatever they want with you and feel a student film would perhaps give me a bigger and better part.
A couple years ago when I moved back to oklahoma I saw someone was shooting a student film and looking for actors. it seems i havent been able to find a single one since and my last resort is to spend the summer in cali or wherever a student film is being shot just to find one. I cant believe how dry it is here. I mean you guys have a film department!
