This is a really good shipwreck and shark video. Great animation
Leopard Shark researcher- Dr. Andrew Nosal - is studying this very question.
His leading hypothesis is that the sharks do this to shrug off parasites. He is currently investigating the parasites (called copepods) he finds on the La Jolla population of Leopard sharks. He also documents, through aerial drone surveys, specific characteristics of the behavior (such as frequency and group dynamics.)
I made this instrumental based on a 4 minute snippet of whale calls. I love the way it turned out, and hope you will too ?
No picture unfortunately. but I remember a couple years ago I was on vacation in the Caribbean and found this egg-sac looking thing in the shallow water. It looked like a clear gel ball that had white fuzz on it. I poked it with a stick and it didn’t break or move. No stinging but it was very flexible.
