All of my settings are correct, and the log analyzer just states, it's a isp network problem.
However, I just downloaded a vpn and turned it on and whalla-- it's perfect no frames dropped at 18000 kbps.
And I can't even get 4000 with my current internet with no vpn.
Am I being ddosed? Throttled? What's up with this?
I have a limited amount of storage on my PC and I only use a fraction of the footage anyways. Instead of storing the full videos on my SSD, I’m considering having platforms like YouTube or Twitch host them. I was thinking of take clips from the streams to avoid keeping large files on my SSD, which could slow down Adobe. If you have a better solution to storing 1-3 hour long footage of gameplay, I’d like to know
Not sure what is the problem, sometimes it works, nothing showing in the error logs. Running linux mint on a T480s, input is a North HDMI capture card receiving signal from an RCA to HDMI converter. Battery saver is set to High Performance. I have to close and reopen or restart a few times to get the audio working, or ooen Reaper to change the audio input. Video only works if I switch scenes, close, reopen and switch scenes again. Once I finally record, it is very choppy and the audio cuts in and out at somewhat regular intervals. Everything is updated. Some days it just works, usually it doesn't. Anyone experience this?
So I wanted to try out doing a test stream for funzies, and quickly discovered that it's more than I can handle. I may have messed with a few things, and I only picked up my mic audio, but not the game audio, or the discord audio.
OBS shows nothing when I did the Application Audio Capture, but when I went to test the mic out on Discord settings, THAT's whem it picked up the mic. Even picked up the soundboard sounds. Am I doing something wrong? Help is much appreciated.
Essentially, OBS will ONLY record any audio from discord when I am in a specific discord text channel of my server.
I can change which channel causes this by going into my OBS sources -> Creating a new "Application audio capture -> selecting discord (It will have the exact name of what I am doing in discord at the time, e.g: [Discord.exe] general | (discord server name) - Discord) then it will only record discord audio when I clicked into that text channel and stops when I click out. If I restart OBS while open on a different channel like my friends list, then it will change to only record discord audio when I am in my friends list.
This is extremely annoying as you can imagine and so far I have 0 ways of fixing it. Changing the window match priority also have 0 effect on this, nor does updating OBS to the most recent version.
Im trying to capture my pov on vr aswell as my camera. and i've generally figured it out. only issue is it fully crashes the Obs
any help?
this is on Streamlabs Obs
I’m pretty sure there being 4 obs is why I’m lagging but I don’t know how to fix it.
I am really interested in building the following recording and virtual camera setup for training videos and online demos:
- M4 Mac Mini base model
- iPhone 15 Pro connected via USB-C as a camera
- 4K/30 capture card to show the product screen
- OBS Studio with multiple scenes with PIP
Online demos: will use OBS to create a virtual camera with all the scenes in 1080p for Teams and Zoom.
Training videos: will use OBS to record all the scenes in 4K to post online.
I have been doing this with a Windows laptop but it sounds like it's gonna take off and I have been using a Logitech StreamCam instead of the iPhone. I am interested in switching to a mac mini base model and I am wondering if the base 16GB of RAM will be enough for this?
I see this was asked 8 years ago and never got an answer haha. Google and YouTube have not helped. I keep finding this question asked years ago in other forums with no one answer.
Is it possible? If not, what can I do to achieve this?
I want the images to appear every X minutes, so I didn't think there was another way besides the slideshow.
I am currently using a basic capture card i got from amazon to record gameplay at 60 fps 1920x1080 from my pc. Everything ran smoothly until i got a new monitor that is a huge upgrade compared to my old one as its 180hz and 2560x1440.
When trying to capture video from my pc onto my laptop through the capture card at 1920x1080, the video is completely blurry. All I see on OBS is 2 rows of 4 clones of my monitor that are blurry and choppy. However, lowering the resolution to anything lower than 1920x1080 fixed the issue. So I’m just really confused and need some help thanks.
Not sure if it has to do with anything but my laptop is running windows 11, and my pc is running windows 10.
So I’ve been tweaking my OBS settings to get higher FPS whilst recording. I read that it’s a better option to use ‘game capture’ instead of ‘display capture’ for performance reasons. My issue is that when I select game capture, it completely washes the color out and looks super bland on the recordings. I’m assuming it’s because it’s interacting directly with the app / game I’m in and bypassing my nvidia graphics settings like the most wonderful digital vibrance. Is there any way to match it to what I see or possibly just liven up the recordings with a couple of color filters / alterations?
Hello Everyone,
I'm very new to this, so please excuse my lack of information.
I have a single HDMI 1080p@60Hz source that I need to get to two (2) remote locations. Probably over LAN at this stage. Latency it not that important, would not matter if it was 10 secs.
What would I require in the way of Hardware and Software to make this happen?
What would be the approx. bandwidth required over the LAN?
Again, very sorry for the noob question.
TIA
im trying to record but my quality is horible can someone help me on call or something ive tried to fix it through yt vids but wont get fixed
here are the logs on trying to open it through the terminal:

Hey Guys, im currently trying to make a sound board with OBS that people in a discord call can hear as well. I've had no problem adding all my sounds and stuff but i dont know how i can make the Inputs work with eachother.
The tab that captures the games was automatically moved to the upper left corner of the obs screen and I cannot change its location. When I try to create a new one it appears in the same place, what can I do?/La pestaña que captura los juegos se movio automaticamente a la esquina superior izquierda de la pantalla del obs y no puedo cambiarla de sitio, cuando intento crear una nueva aparece en el mismo sitio, que puedo hacer?
Could you help me with a CSS code to put the web page that I am projecting in OBS in dark mode. The page I show is white by default and I would like to know if there is a way to show it in dark mode so that it does not illuminate too much.
Me podrían ayudar con un código CSS para poner la página web que esyoy proyectando en OBS en modo obscuro. Es decir, la página que muestro es de color blanco por default y quisiera saber si hay una manera de mostrarla en modo obscuro para que no ilumine demasiado.
Mortal Kombat 1 Crashes and says "Out of Video memory trying to allocate a rendering source. I have my base canvas at 1080p and output at 1440 because I want higher quality footage. The game works when in practice mode and other modes. When I get online it crashes. Is there something wrong with the update? It's staring to annoy me.
How can I remove ReStream from OBS?
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to set up my Logitech Brio webcam in OBS Studio to capture two people in a single shot, but I'm having some trouble getting both people visible in the camera, especially when we're sitting a little further away from the camera.
I would like to know how I can adjust the setup so that both me, my friend, and maybe even a third person can be in the frame at the same time without being too close to the camera.
Here's what I've already tried:
I have added with Brio webcam as a source in OBS.
I've tried adjusting the viewing angle on the Brio, but we still can't get both people on the screen.
I've also tried moving the camera further away, but it still doesn't seem to work optimally.
Does anyone have experience using the Logitech Brio to display multiple people? How can I adjust the setup in OBS to make it work better? I would greatly appreciate any tips or guides if anyone has experience with this.
Thanks in advance!
Kind Regards,
Otto

before anyone freaks out, I know I'm streaming with display capture and not game capture, I'm currently studying tetris and play in windowed mode and have my notes on the left so I can improve on my gameplay. Display mode shouldn't be causing me to drop frames this badly. I use to stream osu in display mode and had 0 issues at my old place.
I've never seen this many dropped frames, 300k frames is an absurd number. https://imgur.com/a/T87aDQY for proof.
I have 1GBps DL and 30MBps up. I shouldn't have any issues with streaming at all, and i have my obs setup to 2500 Kbps and I'm still lagging.
Why is my stream lagging this much on a simple 2D puzzle game? I've never seen 300k dropped frames when playing a game like COD or CS.
edit :
pc specs :
i7 12700k | 32gb ram | 3070 8GB
So, I have a black screen recording. Is there any way to recover it?
Hey everyone, as the title suggests within the last couple weeks my OBS panels have randomly started to turn pink. If I minimize OBS and restore it, the problem goes away but only temporarily. I'm afraid this could mean my GPU (FE RTX3090) might be starting to show signs of hardware issues?
Thanks for any suggestions
I would like to have an key that cuts off the audio from something like the last 10 seconds when streaming on youtube just in case I say something I shouldn't and realize afterwards.
audio still needs to be in sync with the video.
I am using the latest version on windows 10.
https://obsproject.com/logs/2LvWZbMY899su4be after i start recording everything seems fine until i review the recorded video. it lags so much that you can only make out 1 fps out of this hovewer there isn't any issue visible while recording or having obs open, nothing seems to be wrong can someone help?
Hey there!
Is it possible, without messing too deeply with OBS or breaking the rules of its use, to change the stream message from 'Are you sure you want to go live?' to my own message?
I'm forgetful and the last three streams I forgot to change the stream title. One time, I had West of Loathing up for 3 HOURS before someone came in and told me....I was playing The Forest. :/
It's hard enough to go from brand new to affiliate without stupid mistakes like that.
Last night, getting ready to stream, I TOLD MYSELF to change it. Half way through my Fallout 76 stream I realized I didn't. It was an old title. I just can't get it through my head.
So I want to change it so it says something like, "Did you change your stream info???" when I click the Stream button.
Is that possible without getting too technical?
**TL;DR : '**clean' way to bind a key to "Show/Hide current selected (or highlighted) source". I just want NOT to click on the Eye icon.
--------
I'd like to bind a key to the "Toggle the highlighted source" that we have clicking on the eye icon. For any current source, anywhere. "Show/Hide source" would work too.
The issue is explained in details here, and I guess some thoughts on how-to can be found here on the r/elgato sub, after describing some circumvents solutions (that I'm not sure I grasp btw), instead of a fix :
You've already gotten a solution but alternatively:
Multi-Actions are not supposed to be Toggles. That is what Multi-Action-Switches are for.
Talks about plugins / some other stuff I don't know about. My goal is super simple though.
The obsproject.com link is quite fresh, and it basically asks the same question (or does it ?)
!.!<
So what is this guy talking about, is there a "clean" solution to this ?
If not, what 'fix' did you guys successfully implement to do just that ?
Does anyone know how I can change the camera FPS in OBS? It says match output FPS, 50FPS, Highest FPS. I want to set my FPS down to 25 or 30, but it doesn't give me the options. I'm pretty sure my camera settings are right so I don't know what to do
Hello, I may need help with OBS
Hi People, sorry in advance english is not my first language soo,
I've come to some problems in the past days while streaming ... and I really don't know what to do any more.
While streaming (playing Silent Hill 2 - Remastered on PC) my stream began to lag and to become shaky - also very delayed - after some minutes .... I tried to restard the stream but it comes immediately back
(with the same game).... while playing Amanda the Adventuerer or Vampire Survivors I do not have the same problems. I had some similar problems with Throne and Liberty but this game I used to play before I changed my CPU. (Not playing any more)
some infos: I'm using OBS (ver. 30.2.3) with Iphone 11 as a Cam. I'm using Nvidia Broadcast for my Mic and my Cam. Also I'm using a vertical plugin to stream parallel on tiktok.
I've got some sources for Alerts (like streamelements, twtich alerts and stickerbomb).
I saw that Nvidia made a "how to" for the right OBS settings so I used them ... idk if it's going to help.
Game is limited to 60FPS also OBS is limited with this info
Streaming in HD but my Source is 2k.
I dont do any recording, just streaming
also:
GPU > 4070ti
CPU > i7-14700f
while streaming the % of both is by 75-80 and the warmth is around 50°C.
(idk if you need this info...but bette more than less right? )
OBS settings:
Audiobitrate 160
thanks for any help or ideas
here aswell the Log data:
https://obsproject.com/logs/nWKpTk8jSiOazl6D
Update 1: We found out the issue When I reduce the fps in obs to 30 or something like this No more laggy or stuttering. Going up to 60 again And it start lagging again.
So for now I will reduce to 30 But I don’t understand why this is happening with this hardware …
Update 2:
here are some new log data with 2 minute of streaming, FPS back to 60 and stuttering begins again.
