Join us every Tuesday at Peculier Pub on 145 Bleecker St and Thompson. Early birds show up at 6pm. Peak time is 7:30. We're the large group standing in the back of the bar. Very hard to miss. If you can't make it on time, don't worry, most people stay late – even past 11pm or midnight. Don't forget to tell our wonderful bartenders that you're with the group for special drink deals!
Want to chat with fellow members of the community? See our list of Community Discords for several options.
Everyone's welcome to post and host their own events though we highly encourage joining our Community Discords and organizing there. If you want your event to be successful, we suggest posting more than 48 hours in advance. Click here for more tips on hosting meetups.

Hello! 🤗 My nephew is a nyc subway enthusiast and I’ve been riding the holiday train with him for the past 2 weeks. He walks around recording content for his YouTube channel meanwhile I sit on the train.
Wondering if anyone would like to meet up at 1:30pm on the uptown platform at 2nd Ave stop (F line) ahead of the holiday train’s departure at 2:00pm. I once rode the holiday train in Chicago and people were merry and singing holiday songs (jingle bells and such) and I would love to meet and sing with fellow nyers. Too nervous to just belt out singing alone and do not want to blast holiday music on a speaker (don’t want to be THAT person). Figured other people won’t mind too much if it’s a group of people?
I am NOT a professional singer by any means! So please don’t let that deter you! Though if you have a great voice, please come! I just would like to spread some holiday cheer on the holiday train—wholesome time together!
First time posting on here, I could make a group chat or we can just meet at the platform? I’ll be wearing a Santa hat—feel free to wear something festive!
When: tomorrow, Sunday, 12/23 Where: 2nd Ave uptown platform (F Line) BY THE FIRST CAR Time: 1:30pm meet up for the 2:00 pm holiday train departure
Who: individuals, couples, kids—anyone!
Heading to the 80s dance party at Hotel Chantelle tonight, probably around midnight. 21, trans guy, looking to meet some cool people and vibe. Who else is going? 🕺🏽
i’m heading to the market around 4-5 if anyone would like to meet up and shop around :) i would also be down to check out bryant park too and maybe hit up a few bars in the area later at night but i dont know manhattan very well so suggestions would be welcomed 🙂↔️
Hey Would anyone like to come and join me around 3:00 or 4:00 for tea? I’m giving out tea as gifts to my family, so I want to explore a couple shops. Bundle up because it’s cold and we live in a winter wonderland! It’s the perfect time to share a warm cup together. Also, if anyone has any recommendations for good tea shops around the city, with some a nice selection of loose leaf, I’d love to hear them! I was thinking...
208 Sullivan St (Bleecker), New York, NY 10012 A charming tea shop in Greenwich Village with a wide range of organic teas and spices.
Kolkata Chai Co Address: 199 E 3rd St (Ave B), New York, NY 10009 A cozy café specializing in authentic Indian chai, with options for gifting.
I never been to these places before but this is what the internet told me. Lol

I’m joining a massive group of folks for a Dyker Heights Christmas Lights Walk. There’s over 200 RSVP’d which means at least 50 will show up, so it will be a nice group.
If you’re down to go, follow the link and be at the address at the specified time. I go every year and it’s fun.
This is a free event.
Let's do some indoor bouldering at VITAL Lower East Side at around 1PM on Saturday 12/14! Anybody brand new or experienced is welcome to join. Bouldering is rock climbing with no equipment - all you need is to rent a pair of shoes and you are good to go.
A day pass at the gym is $35, and shoe rentals if needed are $5.
We've been organizing this meetup for over 2 years and it has been a lot of fun! There are usually between 20-30 people who attend. We spend about 2 hours at the gym and then some folks usually grab drinks afterwards. Just post here if interested and I'll add you to our group chat.
Hello! 39M. We have a small but expanding group of Art history/Art literature enthusiasts interested in meeting at the MET once a month (other NYC museums as well). We had our first meet last month discussing the exhibition Siena: Rise of the Painting.
Tomorrow am (Sat 12/21), we're planning to check out the Flight into Egypt exhibition (11 am ET). We'll meet before at 10:00 am at a lovely UES cafe (La Bomboniera at 91st and Lexington), do a quick round of intros, grab coffee and then head over to the MET (entry is pay-what-you-wish with any NYC ID). At La Bomboniera, look for the table with a black NY cap and a small red MET brochure in the center to find our group!
If you missed us at the Siena event, come join us tomorrow! For group security reasons, we're adding folks to the Whatsapp group only after they've been able to attend an event in person. We missed a few folks last time since the MET gets crowded, so please join us at the cafe first. If events like this and art history sound like your jam, come by and say hello!
Exhibition link: https://www.metmuseum.org/exhibitions/flight-into-egypt-black-artists-and-ancient-egypt-1876-now
There's no group chat for this meetup outside the whatsapp group at the event - I'll post a confirmation here tomorrow at 9 am that the event will be happening just so that folks have enough time to get there. Cheers!
Edit: place is crowded but grabbed a small table towards the back of the cafe. Look for the red MET brochure. Cheers!
There was a similar post earlier for an ice skating meetup but unfortunately OP had to cancel so I'm instead going for ice skating on Sunday now and I'm down for hanging out afterwards to check out what the holiday market has to offer! Let's get a group chat going for interested folks 🔜
⛸️ What - Ice Skating and exploring the holiday market
📆 When - 22nd Dec which is this Sunday at 2:00 PM
📍 Where - Bryant Park https://maps.app.goo.gl/odSNjuhe2xC8uvRFA
I saw a similar post earlier about a meetup for those wanting to vent but the post is no longer up. I like the idea so thought I’d run with it. Only Please be respectful and judgement free
Hoping to meet tonight at around 7, I chose Hill Country because they have large tables downstairs, but ideally anywhere where we can hear each other and contribute to the conversations is fine with me. So if you have a better suggestion let me know. I started a chat so let me know if interested
Hi, everyone! I am hosting a Rapid(10+0) Chess Tournament on 12/28/24 at 1pm at Whiskey Tavern in Chinatown. If anyone is interested in joining feel free to dm me.
My friend and I are hosting a drawing workshop + mini UFO exhibit showing aliens from pop culture this Saturday @ 5:15PM-6:30PM near Columbus Circle. It's a paid event ($10 tix) but we have a few open slots left for $1 tickets to fill up spaces.
Materials are included, my friend will be leading the workshop where she will teach us how to draw the classic stereotypical alien (not from the film) and a surprise from pop culture. Everyone will get a 4x6 canvas + 4x6 post card to draw on. A black marker will be provided but if you want to colorize will have to bring your own markers/pencils. No paints.
It's beginner friendly but you can deviate from the example if you want to draw something more complex. The mini UFO exhibit will have different items from various pop culture references to aliens which you can use as inspiration.
Lmk if you're interested. If you're really strapped for cash might be able to waive the $1 fee, just DM me.
Hi this place might have great Christmas Decorations. I have been there many times and it has the best honey cakes. Let’s enjoy the beautiful environment and great desserts there. Have some good conversations and make some friends.
Hi all!
Masala Milers (a South Asian running group) is having a holiday-themed run/walk this Saturday! You don’t have to be South Asian or a “serious” runner to attend.
We will be meeting at W 15th St & 10th Ave at 3 pm for introductions and stretching. Run/walk will start at 3:15.
For runners, there will be a pacer going at 8-9 min/mile and a pacer going at 11-12 min/mile. We’ll also have a group that’ll be walking. The route will be 3 miles and end at Pier 17, where we’ll get food/drinks. Festive attire encouraged but not required! Feel free to DM for any questions

Hello all! As the owner of a new pair of figure skates, I'm hoping to get at least one use out of them before I leave for the holidays. Join me at Bryant Park (it's free admission if you bring your own skates!) for some winter fun! We can wander the holiday market afterwards, too.
I have a rare day off work and don't want to be there when it's super crowded so I've gone ahead and made a reservation for myself for 2 pm. If you're interested, let me know and be sure to reserve the 2 pm ice skating slot for yourself as well!
About me: early 30s, work in the arts, moved here last September and still trying to build up a solid friend group (my partner and family live out of state so no support network has been rough). Former figure skater as well but don't expect me to do any tricks, haha.
