Hello. The novel I am looking for has only one scene I recall. The MC was travelling in a ship and ended up in conflict with someone who provoked him. Then the MC Junior/Elder Sister, or maybe aunt or something, appeared then further provoked the villain who provoked him and after antagonizing him, went on to kill him with her sword. For context, I recall I was reading on a Chinese Mtl site for novels translated on faloo or fanqienovel. These novels are pretty much fanfic and one of the popular types were those ranking list types that uses characters from multiple works and show certain scenes. That scene was from such a novel so I was interested in the source but I cannot find it anymore. Both that novel and the source.
The MC belongs to a small family under an evil sect. One day one of the holy girl or saintess comes to his family to capture someone and he accidentally sleeps with her. She or someone else maybe took him to the sect and he joins this evil sect and rises to the position of holy on and sleeps with sect master wife again accidentally. Later he fights with sect master and maybe becomes sect master himself.
I remember reading some kind of omegaverse bl where an omega was captured in a forest and bought to be a slave by a high ranking vampire. I cannot for the life of me remember the name, just the story.
!The mc is dead and I dont give a shit about his primaltwin. His primaltwin is not him, they just share the same memories etc right? So whats the point if the story now? What the actual fuck was that volume ending?!<
First of all I'm new in reddit so don't know a lot of stuffs but I really wanted to know is there any update on the abyss arc or Mars has dropped it. I was hearing some rumors that he has lost the contract or something like that is that true. Anyone pls.....
It's about a guy who gets reincarnated in a game I think, and the character he gets reincarnated as has only one ability -- that is he can traverse a specific distance really fast. The downside of this ability is that it's really hard to control the amount of distance he traverses. But the mc has mastered it anyway while playing the game. So instead of traversing the specific distance, he can traverse the distance inbetween the specified distance that his ability is capable of traversing.
Do you know the title?
Need help looking for a novel where an author gets reincarnated into his own book as a side character but he's also faceless in the earlier chapters, as in he doesn't remember writing about this character.
It was one of the best written xianxia novels I've read so it kills me that I can't remember the name or other details.
The clearest thing I remember is there was an arc where the main character was made into a sherrif/government enforcer for this crime-ridden city on a river, and the crime boss was some local merchant on a river boat. The main character had to solve a murder and manages to trace it back to that guy.
I vaguely remember some other moments in the novel like a lightning spear hitting the main character as he's traveling in a carriage with his friends, a blind swordsman (I think?), and the school MC he goes to has a ghost problem.
I hope I'm not combining multiple stories by accident, but the sheriff arc is the one I remember the clearest.
I'm not sure if this is the correct sub to ask this question, but it's related to novel translations, so... shrug. I know that the all words that are used to refer to one's masters and fellow apprentices are compounds where the first word is "master". Like, 師父 (shīfu) is "teacher-father"; 師兄 (shīxiōng), meaning "Senior Brother" is "teacher-elder brother"; 師妹 (shīmèi), which means "Junior Sister" is "teacher-little sister". What are female masters called, if the word for "master" itself means "teacher-father"? Whenever disciples talk about their male masters' wives, the English translation has stuff like "master's wife", and I think the Chinese word for that would be "master-mother". But what if the master herself is a woman? Is the female master still called "teacher-father" or is she "teacher-mother"?
Hello fellow daoist as the tittle suggested, I would like your input on what make the strongest foundation for a cultivator to become the strongest in the world.
Is it having the best physique such as chaos body etc, is it having the most stable Dao heart/willpower that can’t be shaken by anything? Is it having beyond heaven defying comprehension that make whatever your cultivating surpass the highest level it could reach (eg qi refining max lvl 13 but due to your comprehension it reaches 15 etc). Is it having the best bloodline/luck/destiny there is ? (Creator god bloodline, human emperor luck etc). Is it having a soul that can affect the very foundation of the world( soul so powerful that it can part chaos that is normally intangible). Is it having talent that is beyond once in a epoch (etc a peerless talent take 100 years to reach a god level, you take 1 day to reach it)
Would really love all your input
For awhile now the kind of game I wanna play the most is open world xianxia game where I play as an actual cultivator, fight for heavenly opportunities, ascend to new realms join a sect have it be destroyed eventually build your own sect, have a complex combat system go different paths for your cultivation. Basically a xianxia novel in game form with all the complexity that comes with it.
I recently saw that the manhwa of the novel was released, so I decided to take a look at it since I had it pending. If you also have the doubt, I say don't worry. It's an amazing, fun and interesting journey.
If there is something to highlight as the best, it is its protagonist and his hilarious personality, the amount of times I laughed sincerely reading his crazy things were not few.
Another issue to highlight is that the plot is better than I expected, as in this type of "regression" topics give little or no importance and only attribute it to a divine act. Here it is a CENTRAL theme of the plot and characters. It takes a while for the plot to take off but if you have a little patience, the complex layers begin to appear and the unknowns will be answered.
Finally, the rest of the characters and the interactions with the MC are fine. it's frankly not a story that delves too much into these issues, this is more action and laid back comedy. But there are many interesting moments. Oh, and although it's not my case, if you are one of those who DON'T like the Harem theme, it's another reason to read it, but I must say that it was nice to see the romantic development, which was slow and progressive, maybe a little sudden at the end because of certain events ( if you read it you might understand me ) but it's satisfying at the end.
After reading countless reincarnation novels I came to realise that most mcs are somewhat stupid for example those martial arts novels where the mc came from modern earth when the novel starts and the mc is introduced to martial arts some authors usually add something like "martial arts just like in the novels I used to read on earth" and as the story goes further im like so what about those cultivation novels why don't they lampoon 'why isn't there cultivators in this world is this not a cultivation world?'
Most story doesn't even need a reincarnator/transmigrator background because usually its only relevant for the 1st chapter like even if there earth didn't know about cultivators what about clichés im sure those shitty chinese martial arts novels would have them the only benefit of a transmigrator/reincarnator I can think of is that they would be smarter/more mature than the average mc but 99 percent of them are not, or if its relevant to the plot.
I understand that on 100% martial arts novel there's no need to talk about cultivation but if the mc atleast acknowledged what he knows then that would tell me that the author takes the mc past as a reincarnator seriously.
I just came across "Logging in 10,000 years into the future" and it seemed really familiar to another novel I read a while back except the MC could visit the world in the future after humanity had been destroyed and learn all the advanced cultivation and martial art techniques. He could also read the records of history to see what his life was like and how far he advanced after making big choices. I can't recall if the bad guys were demons or aliens that had destroyed the future humanity.
Can anyone help me remember the name?
EDIT: He became a soldier and one of his harem was his instructor I think. Martial Artists were a big thing and I think he originally had no talent. He may have had a younger sister but I might be mixing it up with another one.
I remember there was a tournament with points that was held on the back of a giant tortious. The mc was the only one who managed to claim a token that signified him as a sect disciple (this took place deep into the book). I remember he was op and he killed a lot of people who both surrounded him since his location was being broadcast in increments. Thanks!
Haven't read this novel in ages and completely forgot the title.
The protagonist is a transmigrator/reincarnates into a world of cultivation where heaven gives every cultivator tests i.e a Foundation building monk is given a test of killing nearby bandits or something and heaven rewards each person. (Harder the test/goal the better rewards)
The protagonist has the ability to see and modify the tests given by heaven to others and himself and at the beginning (protagonist is a handyman disciple) changes the sect leaders test to make him fall in love with her (and protagonist is to make her fall in love with him).
Sect leader pretends to be an ordinary disciple to get along with the protagonist and eventually everything blows up with the protagonist at a competition/event saying to sect leader "this milk dog is going or something" which basically tells her that he "knew" she was using him.
In the competition the protagonist ends up "sacrificing" his emotions, body and memories to a desoloute lord (his got a desoloute body or something) to get extra power and win. He is kidnapped by a demon cultivator.
Her goal is refine protagonist body/talent to ressurect her mother, protagonist changes her test to make him her husband and he is given a paper/illusionory body(?) since he sacrificed his body at the competition he has to be near the demon cultivator and her mother to have a body.
Sect leader finds him and is distraught and that she really loves him. The protagonist feigns ignorance and says he sacrificed his memories and emotions so he doesn't know her.
This is all I know, thank you if anyone knows it.
Hi, feel free to share with your fellow users what you are reading this week and what you think about it.
Please include a link to the table of contents or Novelupdates page.
All spoilers should use the spoiler format. Example: >!Mojo Jojo dies.!<
So i know this might be a little hard since alot of novels are very similar but the novel im looking for is something along the lines of 10,000x resources or smt like that.
People are transfered to another world where they have to build their own base. They start off with nothing and work their way up. It is a magical world so magic does exist and MC is extremely overpowered. There are global chat where people can trade. And theres also like the summoning minions part where people can build say for an example this is not part of the novel but an example a tomb in their base and the owner can summon skeletons thru the tomb to guard their base
A couple things i remember from this novel is where theres a faction god of light close to the MC base and mc basically buys everything in their shop some stuff include like “light wall” its an wall blessed with god of light? Smt like that and i also remember the MC being ganged up on and still whipped out the invaders but i dont remember if the invaders were players like him or npcs.
Theres also a girl player who some how manages to get on his good siad and becomes his follower so she moved her base next to him and basically she just takes all his junk in a sense
I believe he also became a pope in the god of light faction but he is not like a devoted believer because he just had to buy that position with faction points sorry this is pretty much all that i remember.
What does it mean when they say "grass" when i searched the closest that i got for an actual word is "rough"
A few years ago I read a web novel and recently I wanted to reread it but for the life of me, I couldn't find it. The bullet points I put below are what I can remember about it.
The MC's wife and daughter? are killed and I'm pretty sure he's framed for it. Pretty sure it was a hero who killed them as well.
He gains the sin of rage ability???? and goes around killing the people responsible for the death of his family.
In the end, he somehow goes to heaven and reunites with his dead wife and daughter
There was a part where he was walking by people after he killed the final person and people threw stuff at him.
There was a female hero who fell in love with him
The first hero he fought and killed was a hero who used light or something. There was a whole scene where people were watching the fight on television and they were certain that the hero was going to win just to be surprised when the hero was killed. Pretty sure it was the hero's family watching it as well.
I will update this as I remember more
I started reading until he ascended to the star realm and I am quite confused is the missions he receive from the radiant tower real or simulation? like the assessment mission to kill the commander. The second mission is said to be failed multiple times and that they have to start it on time . That means that the missions reset so what is the purpose? I just want to know what is real and what is not.
Ranking novels I read
I ranked my top 10 favorites in a previous post and wanted to update and extend it. I will add some short description to others too here and continue to update this if it expands. P.S. ranking order is approximative.
A regressor's tale of cultivation
Reverend Insanity
Death Sutra
Lord of the mysteries
Shadow Slave
Journey of the fate destroying emperor
Tales of herding gods
Record of a mortal's journey to immortality
Top Tier Providence
Kill the sun
Pursuing immortality
11.5 Kingdom's bloodline - Game of thrones type novel but imo author bit more that he could chew. too much stuff.
RMJI type novel, sadly dropped by translator;
Sword god in a magic world
Why should I stop being the villain?
-was entertaining although it is an edginess competition. It's dragged down by endless flashbacks from past live. author should have started with that at this point.
-sadly a system novel but characters and plot are solid. MC is evil fr but he still seems to be in danger which add suspense;
-Instant gratification novel but plot is good. Too many characters and has endless harem;
-Careful MC in primordial Chinese mythology world. Lots of slice of life. Got tired of it around halfway through.
-Cool novel as a concept, but things seemed forced to happen for the plot. Got tired halfway.
Also mythological Chinese world and MC is transmigrated into one of the 3 pure ones when they were born. Careful planning and nice to read.
Favorite Mao Ni novel really nice candid interaction between ML and FL.
Wuxia world written in Mao Ni style i.e. wanna sound profound and deep. It's not that deep but a cut above generic xianxia.
Can't remember much but it was decent.
A Mao Ni novel. they are overrated.
Neural evil MC, larping as a scientist gets strong. Plot is decent although it gets boring towards the end.
Actually this could be better than the previous although they are similar. I thought it was Chaotic and uthir couldn't decide on what the MC is like because of the contradiction, but someone said heis actually crazy so this makes it better.
One of the best first chapters but it I'd so disappointing because MC turns into the type of guy he mocks in the first chapter. Also too much content about side character nobody cares about.
MC is not a human but a kind of ghost after he is betrayed by his system in the first chapter. He goes from world to world and becomes stronger generally by hurting the residents. Each one is unique. It is a bold novel and a bit weird but quite cool. Didn't finish.
Also neutral evil MC becomes a God by scheming and going from world to world. In Most xianxia MC plays the eternal junior by ascending to a higher place to get ancient inheritances. This MC is the type to play the elder in a lower world, exploit the weakling and only then ascend and repeat.
Read a bit but don't remember much.
Er Gen at his best. Generic xianxia with exaggerated descriptions, tropes and bad romance. A classic.
IET novel which are all similar with kind protagonists and training montages. This one is my favorite.
Generic xianxia but I really liked the plot.
Er Gen at his best with comedy. Got very bad towards the end with stale plot and ending.
A good Generic xianxia but dreadfully repetitive. Face slapping on point.
The other novels of this author are better. I read the beginning and ending.
Enjoyable but overrated. MC is nerfed because the author made him too op and he still needs chapters.
MC is envious of others that have more talent then him. I was annoyed by the main girl that likes him for no reason. Dropped it.
Ok Er Gen novel.
same
Unique novel at its time. I dropped it because none of the 100 jokes per chapter landed with me.
This should be much higher. Very braindead Generic xianxia, very memeable, but after about 5000 chapter it got much better. Plot suspense is top.
Edgy MC. overrated by many.
Generic xianxia ultra accelerated. Feels like snorting coke (I imagine). Good for what it is.
Dropped early but it's a classic Generic xianxiawith huge worldbuilding.
Very bad Chinese mythology type novel. But intriguing at the beginning.
Don't rember much proof that it is a very generic xianxia, but it wasn't terrible.
By author of RMJI. It is not that bad.
Don't remember much. Generic xianxia but not one of the worse.
Same.
MC is in gamefied fantasy setting and gets stronger by killing stuff. Also instant gratification novel but had decent plot. I dropped it halfway.
Mist broken system I encountered. Bulldozing to the top of the universe by just existing. Funny that he acts as if he is actually worth of it to his disciples when adding them to put their lives on the line. Enjoyed.
(IET) generic xianxia I don't recall much of.
Same.
IET novels where the MC is especially righteous. Short relatively.
Another scientist larp in a generic xianxia. Not bad but nothing special. Could be higher.
Very funny in the beginning but ofc it can't last that long when you want to write so many chapters.
IRT novel, can't remember many specifics.
Same. Tbh all are similar.
Generic xianxia that doesn't stand out especially thorigh anything. good pacing maybe.
classic generic xianxia. it's good but they are all the same.
read this too fully but don't remember anything.
I tried reading this generic xiaxia many times but it is overrated.
My first novel. Good for a generic xianxia but also dumb among it's peers.
generic xianxian (GX from now). can't rember much.
Same.
GX. Has some good comedy.
GX.
Fun in the beginning but cheat gets nerfed extremely and gets stale.
Quite bad. Enjoyed the plot a little at the beginning. Cheat not even relevant for the plot.
More immature than average.
very bad GX.
Same
Same
Same x2
GX. Put nascent souls before golden core, can't be taken seriously
very bad GX.
GX. can't rember much but it was decent.
Funny gimmick concept. Gets boring eventually.
GX can't rember of good or bad.
Same
Didn't actually read enough to be here but a system that tells you what to do is lame af.
GX can't remember
Original worldbuilding but also very stupid. wants you too believe a world without Qi or a supranatural equivalent allows you to do stuff like levitating objects with wind by moving your fingers very fast or flying by walking with strong force (middle school physics lacking). Also MC just goes on questn plot is unengaging.
MC has disciples? Anyway GX
Same.
Bad GX vy RMJI author. Boring.
GX, can't remember.
GX with check in system. Not great.
EDIT with latter reads:
*Damned 13th Regression promising but on hiatus;
*My journey to Godhood as a caterpillar - evil MC quite enjoyable at the beginning but plot is all over the place especially later;
*Creating heavenly laws - actually really fun easy to read op MC bulldozing everything type story and the plot didn't get stale yet;
*Cultivation nerd - promisng concept but I dislike the MC and every character talks the same;
*Immortality: My cultivation has no bottlenecks - one of the most low key MC ever, really enjoyable at the beginning for me at least but got bad after he left the mortal world;
*Chronicles of the Heavenly Demon - nice little novel with very simple plot of good vs evil conflict.
*Naruto: Wind calamity - very good fanfiction. MC is careful, plans how to survive and avoids situations before he is strong enough to get into them. Definitely in the top 20.
I can't remember the title but it's a transmigration novel where in one of the chapters the MC gets transmigrated into the final destination universe where he has to escape death.
Your help is much appreciated!
Well the book goes like this. He regressed to a mirror world like Earth where every fiction is different. He released works from our world and he got famous even became a mathematician and hacker. I remember the last chapters from mtls he released frozen from disney and the book got cancelled. I want to read it all over again thank you! :)
I'm almost sure it's Chinese, I know it's already complete.
Its premise is reminiscent of a shadowy Pokémon, people cultivate it to be able to connect with powerful animals. The protagonist lost his first animal by deception, the second he was forced to catch a nightmare, an animal that could kill him if he didn't have enough energy, and the third was a fox that could evolve.
