September 17th at 8:30pm we are gonna have some of the best standups in the state coming out to put on a really fun show!
reserving your ticket enters you into a chance to win $25 off your bar tab!
I’m considering moving there long term. I have no clue what life is like there, but I’ve heard it’s a good value and closer to my work.
Can someone comment on the pros and cons? Is there a general sense of the community you could share? How is it politically? Many thanks!
Looking for vet recommendations in Novato, thanks. I don’t mind paying more if the vet is good.
anyone know why lucky is closed?? 😃
Hi all. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good areas to do calisthenics outdoors. Someplace that has pull-up bars, maybe even some short posts to do dips.
P.S. When I was younger I felt okay going to school playgrounds after hours when no one was there, but now that I’m older I’d feel it would be weird to do that.
I haven’t had a chance to check them (various pools) out yet. Looking for some opinions. Thanks!
I'm taking the girlfriend on a long weekend and we're staying in Novato. Going to go wine tasting, hiking, and exploring some of the local cities. Any suggestions on what are some must see/must do things in the area and North?
It's very cute so I'm glad I didn't step on it.
We are purchasing a home in Novato soon (near sam Ramon elementary). I am shopping around for home insurance and the quotes seem higher than I anticipated. Most seem to recommend a minimum of $300/sq ft replacement cost. I don’t need separate flood or fire insurance. Any reputable insurers that won’t leave a hole in my pocket that you can recommend?
I never had allergies before moving up here about 8 years ago and the last two years have been getting them really bad. Myself and several of my friends all had flare ups yesterday (Sat the 13th) so wondering if something is in bloom? Has anyone found a drug that works well up here? Have been using Zyrtec but yesterday I could barely go outside without sneezing!
Good Morning! My fiancé and I live out of state but are participating in a meal train for dear friends who live in Novato. Does anyone have any go-to restaurants in the general area that they would recommend for delivery? We are open to different food genres but just want to make sure it’s an excellent meal for them. Thank you very much in advance!
Hi everyone! I’m planning to accept a job offer based in Petaluma. I am a 22 year old looking to live within a 20-30 minute drive from Petaluma. I enjoy nightlife (bars + occasional clubbing), meeting people my age, and trying out new food places (not fast food). My girlfriend will live in SF so I’d also like to commute to SF alternate weekends to meet her and enjoy SF. I’d be grateful if y’all can recommend any areas where there are more people my age/young professionals and decent nightlife and food. Posting here but please feel free to recommend places outside of Novato/Sonoma county! Thank you.
Hi! I am a college student that fishes in Stafford Lake ever so often. Last time I fished, only baby bass were biting and I was wondering if anyone here had any luck catching any keepers recently (especially with the rain).
For our March 4 Walk & Talk program, we will celebrate one of our most precious local resources: The Petaluma Watershed. Special guests from the Petaluma Wetlands Alliance and Friends of the Petaluma River will share information and host hands-on activities designed to teach humans of all ages about the broader Petaluma River ecosystem and all the plants and animals that call it home.
The program is FREE and in-formal. Bring the kids and the dogs (on-leash) and come on out for a morning with your neighbors at the River Park!
On the first Saturday of every month we invite you to join us for a guided group Walk & Talk at the River Park. Each month we’ll have a different theme with special guest speakers, activities, or treats.
When: The First Saturday of every month at 9:30AM Where: Petaluma River Park (parking at 300 Copeland Street)
We hope to see you there!
Starting November 28 through December 23, the Petaluma River Park is collecting items for donation for our partners at Downtown Streets Team (DST)—a local nonprofit working to end homelessness through the dignity of work. The DST Petaluma Team services the River Park twice a week, keeping it clean of trash and debris.
✨This season we are helping collect much needed items to support DST team members.✨
There are two ways to participate:
Drop off items anytime Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 4:00pm, at our office: Petaluma River Park Foundation Headquarters, 101 H Street, Suite B, Petaluma, CA
Join us for a group walk at the River Park on Saturday, December 3 to donate items and enjoy a complimentary hot cup of coffee or hot cocoa!

Hello! My husband and I (early 30s, no kids) are new to Novato. Anyone have any recommendations on making new friends here? Adult sport leagues, meetups, events, etc.
Thanks in advance!
