Hey guys, just checking in- how is everyone doing with finals coming up ? How are we feeling about the semester being over with?
So I applied and got accepted, but I’m out of state from new york. I’m not sure whether or not I’ll go here, but I still applied for the options. But im kinda worried I’ll feel alone or isolated since it’s so far away, thoughts?
Hello everyone,
I urgently need your assistance. I'm a student transferring from EPCC to NMSU soon, and I've just found out I have to take a Math Placement Exam during the transfer process. This exam will determine which math courses I can enroll in. I'm majoring in Horticulture with a Bachelor of Science.
Unfortunately, I was informed about this surprise exam only a week before my orientation, and I was unprepared for this exam. I also want to know if possible what parts of this exam should I focus more one to get a higher score.
Here are my main concerns:
I'm looking for feedback because I feel uncertain about my future. I'm transferring now after just a year at EPCC because I've realized that juggling family responsibilities and academic goals combined has been unsustainable. I've had to drop classes and spend money on materials for courses that I couldn't complete. Even courses I find easy have become difficult under these circumstances, which means that usually, per semester, I can only do 2 courses.
I hope you understand my concerns. If you have any comments, objections, or advice, please feel free to respectfully share them on this post.
EDIT: The desdline for this exam is December 5th as orientation is at December 6th.
I am high school senior looking at nmsu honors program and I was wondering if any body has any experience their, what it's like? And if it is worth the extra class?
Anything that current students or alumni have to say about campus life atmosphere or academics. advice in general is also appreciated.
Not a good look for you protestors. Now your behavior is clearly on the internet for everyone to see and judge, and it’s not a good look for you or NMSU. As you can see from the comments nobody supports this reprehensible behavior.
Ok so I'm graduating in December and the advisor and the degree advisors said all of my stuff was ok, and I kept asking throughout the semester if everything was ok, and they confirmed that it was...since graduation is like 2 weeks away they are just now telling me that I was apparently 3 credits away from my minor and now they want to take it off my degree :( does this happen to anyone else where they tell you something and then backtrack?
I’m a sophomore transferring in the spring (2025) and majoring in 3D animation. Does anyone recommend laptops that can run the program Maya at a decent price?
Hello, i hope you don’t mind me asking this question in here, sorry if you do. My university in Denmark cooperates with your university, which means i might able to go on an exchange in Las Cruces later on in my studies. The city looks and sounds really nice, and i’ve always dreamt of going to the US. I also think i can manage economically.
There is one thing i’m wondering though, and that is whether it is an absolute neccesity to have a car in Las Cruces, seeing as i can’t afford one and really dislike driving. Can you get by without a car, or is it more or less impossible? That is my main question. Sorry if i bother you.
There is a course I need to take but I keep missing out on the available seats and end up on the waitlist. My professor said that I needed to take this course this semester, but what am I suppose to do….. I tried for the fall semester, but was waitlisted then as well. Any tips would be great! Thanks!!
Just got an intern offer for summer 25 in WSMR. I'm from the east coast so I'm looking for housing. I'd be the only intern so I don't have anyone else to live with. I'd prefer to live on a college campus if possible. Do they offer housing to college interns that don't attend NMSU? It would just be for the summer. Or if anyone else have recommendations please help!
Anyone know if the printer there is still broken? Really tired of hiking all the way to the library to get things printed.
I’m trying to sign up for courses and due to my schedule next semester I’m unable to attend classes at NMSU.
Any viewing a wider world classes anyone would highly recommend? I’m sorta overwhelmed by the choices since a bunch of them interest me but of course I only need to take two (or I guess more depending on my roadmap)
I'm looking to apply for the dual MPH/MSW program. Does anyone have any insight on either in person and online experience? I can't find much information about satisfaction or quality this program is.
If anyone has insight on their experience on either MPH or MSW program would be appreciated as well!
Hey guys, so I am in a pickle rn so I won’t be able to immediately be able to register for class, do you think the upper 300 classes fill up fast? I’ll probably regular some time in December so I need a little reassurance as I’m trying to graduate in the spring. Thanks!
Hi. I’m trying to figure out what classes I’m going to register for in Spring. Has anybody had classes with:
Duli Shi - Organizational Communication
Jason Feltz - Strategic Communication
Boheng Xu - Principles of Marketing
I may add more names to my list depending on what y’all say. Thanks
It's not like I don't have people I talk to in classes but I don't have any real friends like no one to hang out with on the weekend or the weekdays and no one to talk to on a regular basis. I feel like I'm failing my self because I end up doing nothing on the weekends.
Hello is anyone apart of the global campus? I was wondering if you received a COA for being global, like housing, meals, etc. Or is it just the cost of tuition?
I just got accepted into the NMSU global geomatics online program. i would like help in knowing are there any additional costs besides the cost per credit hour?
Hi! I need to take 300/400 level classes for my Individualized Studies Degree..does anyone have any suggestions for fun classes for Spring Semester?
My daughter is from a neighboring state that qualifies for a good discount. She is also high achieving academically and a recruited athlete. Can we add all the scholarships/ discounts together which would make her tuition costs super affordable? Or is it a choose which discount/scholarship is the greatest situation? Also how good are the science programs?
Hi everyone! Are there kids that trick or treat in family housing? If they do, when do they start? I want to make sure I have enough candy. Thank you!!!
I’m currently at NMSU studying art, however due to a lot of personal issues but also issues with some classes (nothing to do with the professors they are nice!) I was wanting to change majors, I looked at options and I am very interested in history, looked at the career opportunities that I could get with a BA in history as well as the classes I would need to take, while heavy in writing, I feel as though majoring in history would benefit me in a lot of ways. I wouldn’t mind doing work regarding writing or even museums. I was wondering if the history department at NMSU was a good one as well as with the professors. Of course, this is still a choice I am considering heavily since I don’t want to keep changing majors constantly, that’s all! :)
