I wanna sign up to NJPW World to watch Wrestle Kingdom and Wrestle Dynasty. What's the best day to sign up to avoid being charged twice?
They’ve been on the skids kayfabe wise but they’re still my favorite odd couple. Hope they start picking up some W’s again soon.
I no longer can access New Japan World unless I pay $9.99 a month. I cannot afford it on my limited budget and I only access the site for the backstage comments. To have to pay all this money to watch wrestlers backstage is ridiculous.
ICYMI: The card has changed due to last night’s injuries to Callum Newman and HENARE.
Pre-Show: Tetsuya Naito (full suit t-shirt version) & Hiromu Takahashi def Shoma Kato, Katsuya Murashima — (5:46, Boston crab)
The Young Lions kickstart the match by simultaneously dropkicking Naito.
Chase Owens, KENTA, SANADA & Gabe Kidd def Ryusuke Taguchi, Alex Zayne, Bishamon (YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto) — (8:37, nut shot into roll up)
The faces preemptively jump Bullet Club during their entrance announcement.
Post-match, Kenoh of NOAH, who has an announced singles match against “a mystery man worthy of NOAH’s 25th Anniversary” on NOAH’s 1/1 show, comes out. Everyone but KENTA clears the ring.
Kenoh says KENTA is the man he was thinking of, and formally challenges him. KENTA accepts in a very KENTA way. Kenoh milks his mic time to shill the NOAH show and try and book himself into a future NJPW match.
BUSHI, Yota Tsuji (Mascara Kantansu Tomato version), Shingo Takagi def Jakob Austin Young, Jeff Cobb, Great-O-Khan — (9:18, Made in Japan)
Early in the match, Cobb unmasks Tsuji and briefly becomes Mascara Cobbtansu Tomato.
During his Backstage Comments, Great-O-Khan announces he must vacate the IWGP Tag titles due to HENARE’s injury. The Young Bucks match at Dynasty is now cancelled. (I’m assuming they will at some point set up different opponents for the Bucks.)
Kosei Fujita, Ryohei Oiwa, Zack Sabre Jr. def Tiger Mask, Tomoaki Honma, Shota Umino — (8:11, The Grip)
During his entrance, Umino (who has his regular pants back tonight) is given a homemade version of the IWGP WHC by a young fan.
Post-match, Shota and Zack exchange words. Zack says he wants Shota to rest up so he’s 100% at the Tokyo Dome and will have no excuse when he loses to Zack.
They once again play the Brody King accepting Finlay’s Dynasty challenge promo from yesterday.
When the feed comes back to the venue, Gedo is in the ring. He has Finlay on the phone. Finlay says sending in videos isn’t his style. He cuts a promo on Brody in English, accepting Brody’s acceptance. The only thing that gets a reaction is Finlay swearing and Gedo cutting a promo in Japanese after Finlay hangs up.
WTL B Block: Natural Classics (Stevie Filip & Tome Filip) def TAKATaichi (TAKA Michinoku & Taichi) — (13:17, Mother of All Bombs)
WTL B Block: Boltin Oleg & Toru Yano def TMDK (Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls) — (10:22, Kamikaze)
An Oleg/Yano win keeps them in contention. If HoT lose, Oleg/Yano win the Block. If HoT win, there will be a three-way match of HoT, Oleg/Yano, and LIJ as our new main event to determine the Block winners.
WTL B Block: Ren Narita & EVIL (w/Dick Togo) def Jado & Hiroshi Tanahashi — (11:22, Scorpion Deathlock)
Post-match, Tana is hit with a Double Cross and then an EVIL.
EVIL cuts a promo, thinking the House has just won B Block. Red Shoes and Ring Announcer Abe are calculating the results.
We now have a three-way tie, meaning our new main event is HoT vs Oleg/Yano vs LIJ to determine the winners of B Block.
WTL B Block Finals 3-Way Tornado Tag Match: Hiromu Takahashi & Tetsuya Naito (t shirt version) def Boltin Oleg & Toru Yano, Ren Narita & EVIL (w/Dick Togo) — (17:16, roll up)
Early in the match, HoT handcuff Naito, Yano, and Oleg to turnbuckles/barricades; leaving Hiromu on his own. Eventually Hiromu tells the Young Lions to go backstage to find the handcuff keys. The Young Lions come back out empty-handed, and it’s revealed that Dick has the keys.
BUSHI comes out to take out Dick and get the keys. He frees Naito, but smartly leaves Oleg and Yano bound.
Two more referees come out, having found more keys somewhere, and free Yano and Oleg.
After a rally from Hiromu, he and Naito handcuff EVIL and Narita to the turnbuckle/barricade and Dick is taken out.
Naito & Hiromu are your B Block winners, and will face SANADA & Gabe Kidd in the League finals.
Naito starts his customary post-match speech, but Gabe & SANADA interrupt. From the ramp and without a mic, Gabe cuts a Gabe promo, then he and SANADA leave to drink some highballs.
Naito gets back to his speech and roll call.

As per Walker Stewart on commentary; during his Backstage comments, Great-O-Khan has announced he must vacate the IWGP Tag titles due to HENARE’s injury. The O-Khan/HENARE defense against the Young Bucks at Dynasty is now cancelled.
I’m assuming they will at some point set up different opponents for the Bucks. What happens to the Tag titles will be announced in the coming days.
2010s NJPW is my favorite gender
NJPW has confirmed that both Newman and HENARE suffered knee injuries at yesterday’s show, and as a result removed them from the card for today (nothing had been announced for the finals night card yet).
Card changes for today are as follows:
1st match changed from Kato vs Murashima to Hiromu Takahashi & Tetsuya Naito vs Shoma Kato & Katsuya Murashima
Great-O-Khan replaces Newman in the 3rd match: BUSHI, Yota Tsuji & Shingo Takagi vs Jeff Cobb, Great-O-Khan & Jakob Austin Young
Tanahashi/Jado vs HoT is now the main event (was originally semi-main)
HENARE being out means he and O-Khan forfeit their match with LIJ, so LIJ ends the Block with 10 points. Changes to winner scenarios as follows:
Oleg/Yano lose (regardless of HoT win/loss) = LIJ win Block
Oleg/Yano win and HoT lose = Oleg/Yano win Block
Oleg/Yano win and HoT win = three-way tie between O/Y, LIJ, HoT— 3-way match to decide Block winner will happen on this same show (per the Japanese site.)
ETA: O-Khan has confirmed that both Callum and HENARE are still awaiting the full results of their medical evaluations, hence why there’s no news about any later shows. He also encourages you to buy merch to support both (these are the Global Shop links): https://shop.njpw1972.com/collections/callum-newman https://shop.njpw1972.com/collections/toa-henare
Now that it's been a while since he left the company, my question is, do we know if he left NJPW on good terms?
I know they set up a story with Eddie Kingston at Strong to get him to leave the company, but since then there have been few mentions about him from the Japanese company...
The wrestle Dynasty card continues to group every week. We got a couple singles bouts and a 4 way announced already involving talent from AEW/ROH & NJPW. Not a lot of CMLL or Stardom talent has been announced for the card.
Which makes be beg the question. Which talent do you want to see on the card?
My picks:
AEW: Swerve, Darby Allin, Rush & Beast Mortos
CMLL: Zandokan Jr, Titan, Hechichero
Stardom: AZM, Saya Kamitani, Maika
still funny or just too predictable at this point
this question came to me randomly like most things when i was listening to the commentary on SANADA leaving LIJ and tbh it didn’t seem much like a betrayal it reminds me of when Katsuhiko Nakajima left KONGO it wasn’t necessarily a betrayal just a departure
This is my first NJPW show I'll be attending! Wondering what kind of surprises we can look forward to?? Is it crazy to assume Kenny shows up to build his match with Gabe Kidd? Is it also crazy to assume Mercedes might lose her title, since she isn't really that active in NJPW world and doesn't need two titles right now? Or is she likely to have a match at Dynasty that gets set up? Really looking forward to the show and getting exposed to some new wrestlers I'm not as familiar with!
Pre-Show: Shoma Kato def Daiki Nagai — (6:47, Boston crab)
DOUKI, TAKATaichi (TAKA Michinoku & Taichi) def Gedo, Natural Classics (Tome Filip & Stevie Filip) — (8:12, Italian Stretch No.32/Douki Chokey)
Post-match, Taichi gets Gedo in the Stretch Plum and yells at him about his recruitment of SANADA to War Dogs.
Kosei Fujita, Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls def Tiger Mask, Boltin Oleg & Toru Yano — (6:35, Electric Blue)
Dick Togo, Ren Narita & EVIL def Katsuya Murashima, Jado & Hiroshi Tanahashi — (8:36, knee bar)
Post-match beatdown on Tana, mainly by his WK opponent EVIL.
BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi & Tetsuya Naito def Jakob Austin Young, HENARE & Great-O-Khan — (5:38, injury stoppage)
HENARE lands weirdly after an armdrag from Naito and crumples to the mat clutching his right knee. He briefly gets to his knees to land a gut shot to Naito, but is then back down in pain. After a bit of weirdness where Naito and O-Khan stall and the ref does anything except talk to HENARE, the match is called.
An enraged O-Khan scuffles with Naito, blaming him for HENARE’s injury. He is dragged off by Young Lions while HENARE is helped to the back while putting zero pressure on his right leg. Hiromu and Naito come over to briefly antagonize him.
Via video, Brody King accepts David Finlay’s open challenge for Wrestle Dynasty. This does not get any reaction beyond a brief smattering of polite applause afterwards.
WTL A Block: Funky Sauce (Ryusuke Taguchi & Alex Zayne) def Chase Owens & KENTA — (13:05, flash pin after mutual nut shots)
A little miscommunication between Owens and KENTA, who argue as they head to the back.
WTL A Block: Ryohei Oiwa & Zack Sabre Jr def Callum Newman & Jeff Cobb — (15:11, injury stoppage)
Callum and Oiwa are on the top turnbuckle, with Oiwa teasing a suplex. Callum’s right leg slips and twists, then he falls all the way to the floor while holding his knee and yelling “oh fuck, oh my god.” The ref goes to check on him, and the match is immediately called off.
Cobb goes to sit with Callum while a distressed Oiwa looks on from the ring. Oiwa then goes to check on Callum, but Cobb snaps at him and pushes him away.
Zack consoles Oiwa as they leave. A stretcher is brought out for Callum but he refuses it, instead being helped out the exact same way HENARE had.
WTL A Block: Tomoaki Honma & Shota Umino def Shingo Takagi & Yota Tsuji — (18:40, Death Rider)
Tsuji, who knows Callum from spending time in the Dojo together, looks notably somber during his entrance.
Shota is wearing a pair of plain white sweatpants and his old Death Rider kneepads instead of his regular gear, may have been a wardrobe malfunction, may just not have had time to finish dressing due to the last match getting cut short.
In the closing moments, Shota moves out of the way of a Pumping Blaster so that Tsuji accidentally hits Shingo with a Gene Blast.
LIJ’s loss means the main is winner take all.
WTL A Block: SANADA & Gabe Kidd def Bishamon (YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto — (18:41, Dead Fall)
The Dogs jump Bishamon during their entrance announcement.
Gabe and SANADA are working well together and coordinating. The finish is Gabe coming in to low blow and Piledrive YH, then feeding him to SANADA for Dead Fall.
——Standings (w/key results)——

In a video promo that does not get much of a reaction at all from the small-town crowd, House of Black’s Brody King accepts David Finlay’s open challenge for Dynasty.
I’m hoping Mickey Nichols and Gabe Kidd are in the same block I know they’d put on an absolute banger
