I have a complete AR15 lower with a fixed stock and am looking for a stupid cheap upper. Trying to have something to help me if the shit really hits the fan. Kind of a rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it situation. I already have a 9mm handgun and a carry permit.

Anyone ever get anything from B Kings Firearms? I'm considering getting this upper and they'll replace the flash hider with a compensator and pin and weld it. Total cost would be around $250. Also need to get a charging handle and BCG.

If you could only pick one rifle to defend against a tyrannical government, what would it be and what type of ammo would be best?

I’ve always been a fan of the M14 and finally made the decision to buy one in the form of an M1A Scout Squad.

I’ve shot one as well as the Garand and the M1A is a superior option for my needs… I can’t get an AR10 due to my circumstances (eg spending shooting time in Massachusetts which has become if possible even more tyrannical regarding 2A with its recent A.W.B.).

I went to Guns.com for the M1A purchase with the intention of using RTSP Randolph as FFL, have done this before and more than once. This time the website denied me, message was limited to: “The following (items) are restricted and cannot be purchased in your location: SPRINGFIELD M1A“ (!!!)

The only thing I can imagine is the muzzle device is red-flagged somehow, perhaps Guns.com errs on the side of being super conservative… I don’t know, and will have to research. Still - this is a guess. The out of the box muzzle device is a compensator, and is labeled as such. I was able to acquire an AR with a factory installed comp which was pinned and welded, so it should not be a factor with an M1A…. Also this M1A has an 18” stock, a circumcised 10 round mag, no evil features (eg pistol grip, resizable stock, bayonet lug, flash hider)…. Anyone have any idea what’s going on?

I applied for my FID and a handgun permit on 12/9/23. Fingerprinting was completed the same week. Emailed the police department inquiring about my application on 3/5/24. Received an email back that I will be notified as soon as my application is processed and completed. I purposely used my email address that I only use for important matters to ensure that I do not miss anything. Emailed today as I thought it was weird that I have not heard back from anyone and it has almost been a year. The response was “I sent you an email 4/4/24 letting you know that your application was approved”. He then proceeded to copy and paste what looks like a template sent to everyone that is approved for an FID instead of forwarding the email that was sent so it would be dated. I have checked my inbox/spam/junk folders religiously since I applied. Does the 180 days start on my approval date of 4/4/24 or whenever I go to the police department and pay the fees? Any advice on what steps to take next? Thanks in advance

hey guys , i'm fairly new to all this , and i've never bought a handgun before so im not really sure how it works. i applied for one a couple weeks ago and i just got it earlier today and when i click the link to view the E-FID it just looks like my old FID for rifles and shotguns. is it just the same? do i just show the guy at the gun dealership the email and link and he'll let me buy a handgun? sorry if this is stupid to ask or if im missing something , like i said im new to this and i needed some help

I know that you receive a confirmation email when your references filled out the questionnaire. Do you also receive a confirmation email when Identogo sends in your fingerprints? I was fingerprinted on Oct 17 and haven’t heard anything so just wondering if my prints may have gotten lost somewhere. Thanks!

While I don't post here often, I sometimes find myself coming here and find people who are anti gun interacting in this sub to try to subvert and troll or harass gun owners and pro 2a advocates from time to time. I just want to give a message to the mods or the admins whoever is responsible in mediating the sub that if anybody is engaging in derailing a conversation, trying to say that the Second Amendment is either false or not that important or justify gun control and red flag laws as well as taking away firearms from lawful citizens, that these people should to be dealt with accordingly. While I'm sure there's people in the sub that don't own guns, at least not yet, unless that's because they're inquiring or interested and maybe trying to learn and not be ignorant, commenting or posting negative rhetoric about gun ownership in the Second Amendment should be dealt with by either the offending user(s) being warned, temporarily banned, or permanently banned from the sub on how frequent and how severe the rhetoric and language used. I just feel that In a pro-gun sub people should not be here To justify proposals of strict gun control and gun confiscation and repealing of the Second Amendment. Please don't take this as any sort of attack on you because it's not but rather an addressing of a problem in this sub and I there similar subs. Thank you.
