My son will be graduating shortly as a Marine Engineer (the guy that makes a ship run) and commissioned as a USNR Ensign. This is where your learned selves come in. I'm looking for maritime and naval themed beers here in the Northeast. Anchor Steam. Shipyard Ale. Not something like a "Spinnaker Lager" or sorts. Not the sailing thing, not a "deckie" thing like "Captain's Porter". Thinking anchors, props, big engines. There's a Mariners in BC and another in Cali but I wouldn't imagine them available in the Boston market. Thanks.
I'm about to take a 2 week beer trip Driving from Maine down to DC. Of course I know about the big Breweries to hit like Trillium, Treehouse, Equilibrium, Other Half etc. but what are some other Breweries in New England that maybe aren't as well known but are just amazing.
Thank you for all of your help and I'll be posting the journey on Instagram at daaabeers
I'd like to throw a pitch out here for the podcast After the Second Beer, hosted on Spotify, Stitcher, and Podcast Addict. The podcast is conversational, starts with a commentary on our beers of choice from Maine and New Hampshire and shifts toward weekly news of interest. We record in the NH seacoast.
We enjoy all Deciduous Lollipop Forest and North County Cider. We frequently drink beer from Foundation Brewing, Corner Point, and Mast Landing. @second_beer on Twitter

So many awesome breweries are shipping into VT and NH:
This is a crazy list right? And that’s just the awesome out of state folks.
I work for BeerMenus.com, and we created this weekly newsletter that gives a run down of the best new releases that are available for shipping: https://brmn.us/30vQhap
Took a nice Saturday tag-team drive with some pals out west of Worcester to explore some breweries. Was really happy with the trip ... first stop was Stone Cow ... nice farm, decent barbeque, band, great views. Beer was decent -- not the greatest, but worthy of a trip.
Next up with Milk Room Brewery in Rutland... similar, but less developed than Stone Cow -- brewery right on a bison farm. We really enjoyed this place ... the taco food truck was awesome, and we were all really impressed with the Red Buffalo (red ale) ... enough to bring some home.
Finished off at Seven Saws in Holden. Definitely not the same atmosphere, and beer was probably third on our list of the three, but a nice way to end the day.
If we started earlier, we probably would of stopped in to Greater Good in Worcester as well, which I've been to before and is one of my favorite central MA breweries.
Hi,
I am planning to make a trip to the treehouse brewery but the minimum amount of beer that they sell is too much for me.
I am looking for someone who would like to split a mixed case with me (I won't charge for the car trip, just the beer case)
Anyone interested feel free to DM me,
thanks
Hey everyone,
I'm excited to announce a project I’ve been working on for the past year! I’ve created and co-authored a Children’s Book about beer – "Hop the Hare, the Honey & the Bear: A Crafty Tale of Lagers & Ales".
The story is fun, beautiful, and adventurous for the kids and full of veiled beer references and history for the adults. There is nothing like it on the market.
If you want more information, here is the link to the website: www.hopthehare.com
It's a fantastic, original, funny, and stunning book. It would be *great* if you could share the link and the word on this book. It's a great gift too and at a presale discount right now!
Cheers!
Matt

Hi everyone,
This feburary my girlfriend and I are taking our first trip to Boston. We love IPAs and NEIPAs. We're from michigan so we often drink Two Hearted from Bells and M43 from Old Nation. We're looking for some good recommendations of breweries to check out, specific beers, and any other recommendations. Thanks in advance!
Going on a road trip. I know what breweries to hit up in Portland and I going to Armsby Abbey as well. Need to know what bottle shops to hit up. Looking for stuff that does not distro to Philly area. Also looking for lambic. Also should I make reservations for Armsby Abbey?
Hey everyone,
I’m home for the summer in Maine (wife and I are teachers) and my father/mother in-law are flying in tomorrow from California. My Father in-law is huge into craft beer and loves Treehouse- never had Trillium.
We’re driving down Thursday and have an Air BnB for night near Treehouse. The plan was to hit Treehouse when they open Thursday and then head to Trillium in Canton the next day as we work our way back to Maine.
Anything we should know or should plan? Does it matter which day we do them?
Cheers
What is you favorite Maine IPA?....let us know and we may add it to the contest!
