I got my first tattoo while I was with my girlfriend in September. I figured today was a good day for sharing.
Guys! thanks a lot for all your comments, you're f*cking awsome!! Reading your answers filled my heart with joy and now I'm set on getting the tattoo!
So, I know there’s no specific rule on this. It’d be silly. But when would you consider it ridiculous for someone to get a LOTR tattoo ?
I (F, 30) haven’t been a fan of Tolkien for ages, but only discovered his fantasy world a couple years ago. As such, I’m not a massive fan that knows Tolkien or LOTR in crazy details. Yet I quickly fell in love with it and really wished I had read the books/watched the movies long ago!
I’m afraid if I get a LOTR related tattoo, to be asked a lot of questions about it, and feel stupid if I don’t know something or get laughed at for being a “fake fan”.
For context I’ve studied English litterature and civilization at uni, and only diving now into Tolkiens work of linguistics, his works ties with history and medieval legends. I think this aspect of his work plays a big role in me loving it so much. It’s less about the big gruesome battles in the movies or Legolas shiny hair (although).
I won a tattoo giveaway and got this P.T piece for FREE. Insane
Nat 1? Describes my life so well 🤣
