What NBL1 club has the most supporters and highest attendances?
Great news for the breakers and a key signing for 2024/25. Will be interesting to see who joins as well.
Why were the Jackies awarded two trophies when they won the finals series?
Epic series. Well done jackjumpers. Famous victory. Crawford was a beast.
That is all.
Yo Iโve checked Sportsbet cuz Iโm gonna chuck a bet on todays game but Goulding isnโt on any markets and i checked injury lists and thereโs nothing of him being injured, is he injured or not playing? Im not sure why heโs not listed in Sportsbet
As a proud native Tasmanian, I've unashamedly jumped on the Jackjumpers bandwagon, and have nabbed myself a ticket to Sunday's game.
I've only been to the NBL in Launceston and in Cairns - is there likely to be away team merchandise at the stadium? Is there somewhere in the city that stocks NBL merch? (I've checked Rebel sport but they don't have any Tassie stock.) I only need a cap or something.
Thanks, go Jackies!
With the game of basketball getting bigger and rapidly evolving into a tall-hybrid sphere, Jordan Crawford is crushing it at 168cm with the Jack Jumpers, a heavy contributor to the teams successes this season
What was the reason for it? Did he do something? It was impressively relentless for the entire game.
Another amazing game needs a post game thread. Shot making in the second half was something else.
Hey everyone, looking to buy 2 tickets to the game tonight Tasmania vs Melbourne in Hobart.
Seems like the official sites have them sold out. Any chance I can get a resale ticket anywhere?
Who are some good NBL writers/video folks to follow? Not necessarily your standard beat reporters (though that is still welcome) but mainly guys who breakdown film, evaluate teams, players, coaches, etc. Podcasts recommendations would be great too.
How do yโall feel the NBL compares to professional leagues in Europe? Iโm an American who loves EuroLeague but through my freelance work Iโve gotten into NBL this season to watch draft prospects. Some non-prospects have really impressed me - Samson Froling, Bol Kuol - and I feel like they could be quality players in Europe but itโs hard for me to assess what level exactly they would fit at. Just curious how yโall feel NBL compares to EuroLeague, EuroCup, ACB, Adriatic League, Greek A1, etc.
All thoughts and opinions welcome here, Iโm learning!
Recently I had a close friend for the second time in his life (Age 24) move over east to Victoria to play Basketball after receiving an offer via an old coach who passed it on. He told me he was going to play in the Big V - A very small pay per game for the first season then something like 10k next season if they and he perform well. He said they have some impressive imports on the team also. He is getting to live rent free but he also doesn't have a job which they did promise to provide..
I had no idea what this was at the time and assumed he was going back to playing NBL1 which he did here in WA (He's been on hiatus for a year and a bit but is was a college player in the US and has played state / D1 all his life in WA, he was falling out with Basketball when he was playing NBL1 here though). When I was doing some research I came across so many different leagues I'm trying to make sense of it here? I assume the same for NSW but in WA its very much like NBL > NBL1 (formerly SBL) > D-League or WABL if U18? > Rec leagues (which in it own could be put into tiers.. sort of). Over in Vic I saw NBL1, Big V Championship, MBL & CBL has the main ones.
From what I can make sense of Big V is essentially a much larger team of still mid-big size clubs that usually lack funding or facilities and weren't chosen for the NBL1 expansion? I know some of the bigger and more successful ones where taken to NBL1 or have been over the last couple years. CBL seemingly is just the country version of Big V, further away and again less funding but from what I've read better crowd showings. MBL says Melbourne's best Pro-Am league but it has some affiliation with a global body maybe its parent company and judging by there media roll out and social media alone they have some funds - they have a much more professional presence then Big V in terms of website, data, stats & design, but can anyone join this league? Thanks, I do enjoy trying to understand it all.
I know he was injured but I've been seeing great stuff whenever he's on the court. I was thinking finally he gets a run in the 4th and he went absolutely off.
Hopefully he gets a chance to contribute to one more win!
This guy was on the court, with the camera guy (so I assume he was with the braodcaster, as a camera assist or cablehand), immediately after the shot and seemed to be yelling at Mcveigh. First of all, what the hell, 2nd, that's crazy, 3rd can anyone identify him. Thoughts on this?
Catching the finals and seen a few "jump balls" but it seems one team gets it and they don't do a jump ball like in the NBA?
New fan here, when will there be access to tickets, canโt find any available through ticketek or NBL currently
LETS GOOOOO
Everything else is working except for the final, is it just me?
I can't find the answer with Google, so am hoping someone in the know could tell me as I would like to go to G5 if it happens.
United Coach thinks challenges are like his annual leave. They don't carry over you phu%$ head. Would not have mattered. The owner of the NBL has huge bonus payouts going to the refs... deciding game will pay for it though. Good show boys... don't bet on the NBL.
Seems controversial, I am interested to see how he goes next season.
