Donald Robert McCarron, a 67-year-old former basketball coach with the Northside Wizards, has been charged with seven counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault, and one count of grooming a child under 16.
The charges follow a report received by police on January 19, 2025, alleging abuse that occurred between 2013 and 2017.
Born and raised in Tucson. Went to a HS less than 15 minutes away from Palo Verde.
If you're interested AMA regarding playing against him.
Serious question for discussion, do we think that the coach is entirely at fault for the 36ers losing SO many winnable games this season? Or is it our players? or somewhere in between? just wanted others opinions :)
Game thread let's do this.
SEM should have won that anyway with how many easy shots were missed but only 12 fouls for the whole game for Perth just feels like both teams get reffed differently whenever the wildcats play at home
Edit - I’m sure it’s very much a frustrated at a loss exaggeration from me but still worth discussing
Thoughts? Feelings? Anyone else notice the missed calls? Hawks fan here so no real skin in this game but just an interesting watch.
Was wondering where Adelaide went these past few games. Good to have them back. :)
Hello. Is there a commentary team present at every game or do they sometimes commentate from elsewhere? I feel lied to...
I know this is bad but does anyone have spare tickets to this game?
Hi everyone,
Never been to a nbl game before and thought it would be a good idea to go. I realised that there’s is only one Sydney based game left for the regular season. Is it worth going to this or should I wait for a Sydney based play-in or finals game? Also happy to do both.
Thanks
For context, I’m a rabid Perth Wildcats fan but I don’t think the MVP is a one legged race. What BC has done this season has been phenomenal but KD has been so consistent all season. KD is also 2nd in scoring while 1st in assists.
Award voting doesn’t start till the last game of the season so how much does recently bias come into play and how important are these last 2 rounds?
Perth play Adelaide in the last round, this could decide the MVP. It’s pretty even for me at this point.
I think anyone in the top 6 could win it but if we look more closely:
•Wildcats- can score a lot but can they get stops consistently?
•36ers- what happens when things don’t go to plan? Do they pout and play individual ball?
•melb United - need someone else to objectively comment
-SEM- I don’t think they enough without Walton jnr
Seems like there isn't with the lack of moderation. The constant post about "daily games" being unmoderated shows this sub is not or poorly moderated.
They are at the end of the season
Parker Jackson-Cartwight is rumoured to be on his way to Rytas Vilnius. There is a rumour from the organization’s inside and with him following Rytas Vilnius instagram together with 2 agents from Rytas Vilnius and a guy whose mostly working with newcomers this trade is most probably true
Home game at Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Can the 6ers keep rolling? Also it’s Trez’s bday 🏀
Bryce had two chances to win the game and missed two bunnies including a free throw. I wont count the three qtr heave he had as well. Took him near 50 shots to get his 38 points too
Was quite impressed with how Cairns played last night. I know the Hawks were a bit off but it seems Cairns played more freely without Armstrong in some ways. But I don't think that is the biggest factor at play- I think they collectively stepped up as a team.
So I was thinking given there isn't that long to go in the season, what does next season look like:
Imo I think they should bring back Forde. I would love for Armstrong to get an NBA opportunity but I am not convinced he is ready.
What do you guys think?
