Podcast with CEO David Stevenson
G'day all,
If anyone who listens to NBL podcasts, who happen to have them downloaded on their phone, could potentially share the now deleted episode with CEO David Stevenson and his take on the whole Adelaide vs United drama, that would be great.
The episode was released last Wednesday and was taken down later on all platforms as the CEO, despite United saying otherwise, stated there were racist comments from the fans.
It's a shocking look for the league to delete it and sweep it under the rug.

Edit: I found someone who works in the industry who was initially willing to give me a copy, but backed out after speaking to their coworkers.

NZ and Australian anthems
Well, it finally happened - before we played NZ this afternoon, they played the anthems of BOTH countries.
I'd prefer we keep the anthems out, but if they're going to do it, it's such a nice show of respect for the one non-Australian team, especially given their commute, and the long history between these two teams.
I actually found it really moving as the singers took turns with each other's anthems.

Good game.
Cotton finished with 59 pts,7 assists and played unselfishly.
Great PG contest with PJC of NZ too. PJC had 34 pts and 10 assists.

Phoenix vs Hawks discussion
Phoenix is killing it without Sobey and Walton Jr and then they're out back on and we suck again. Surely one of the assistants has +/- stats for players that can help inform who is best left on the court? It's bloody painful watching Sobey and Walton Jr chuck up outside bombs when Glover and Foxy are driving and playing so well.

Ben Simmons in the NBL?
Pretty hard to see him playing NBA again after this season given how his season is transpiring. He can’t/won’t shoot, nor seems inclined to go to the cup under pretty much any circumstances. He’s also recently started throwing passes that are, in a word, rubbish. Is he fully cooked or could this be an opportunity for a magnificent NBL-driven rejuvenation?
Likelihood is he’ll just “fade into Bolivia” (all credit due to Tyson).
