Did we ever learn what venues/dates each song was pulled from? I know the vinyl does not specify, but I figured maybe the interwebs sleuthed this out. Anyone know?
Just found their 2011 "Circuital" doc was posted to Youtube 7 months ago. I didn't even know this existed until today. Does anyone know of any other docs made by the band? I know of that EPK they made for Z but thats about it. Would love to watch more if they are out there.
I would be happy if I was that guy and that was forever documented. Are you out there??
Please debate/discuss for my amusement, gratification and education.
Thank you.
Really excited to listen to it. Still waiting to get my hands on either of the Month Of Sundays vinyls but this is still amazing. Last one of these sold on 2022 so I’m quite happy to pick it up.
Cool surprise to hear Gideon on Outer Banks (S4 E9). Perfectly timed inside the episode too.
New holiday collection came out but I’m not able to add anything into the cart. Anybody else running into this??
My best guess is “Nah he don’t roam” or “Nah he don’t run”
I think we can all agree that we’ve been spoiled by the incredible MMJ live content we have access to. Between the live albums, Nugs, fan recordings, and YouTube, I feel like I’m always searching for that next gem or “best” version of a song. On the way home from work the studio version of Golden shuffled on and it gave me chills! While there’s no beating MMJ live, it brought me back to the time when I first fell in love with the band. Some of yall might listen to their studio content the majority of the time so maybe I’m preaching to a small crowd.
One Big Holiday - MMJ
Or could there be additional acts not alluded too?

Conan 2003!!! So young and so much hair. True rock and roll stuff! Iconic!
I know I’m setting myself up for a lashing but here goes.
I’ve been a fan of MMJ for about twenty years now. I found the band around the release of It Still Moves and immediately fell in love, going back and trying to find everything the band had released up until then. Tennessee Fire and At Dawn become instant favorites when listening back through their discography.
As much as I loved At Dawn initially I did feel that it was a little inconsistent at first. Songs like Honest Man, Just Because I Do, and especially Phone Went West seemed like weaker songs on an otherwise amazing album. Over time I’ve grown to love Honest Man and Just Because I Do, but still remain kind of meh on Phone Went West. Listening to At Dawn on a drive earlier this evening I had the thought that I think Phone Went West is possibly the weakest song on At Dawn.
Honestly, I thought this might be other fans take until I found this subreddit a few years ago. But boy was I wrong.
I remember in the recent song discussion threads Phone Went West was the highest rated MMJ song for a while by the community. Looking at the thread for that song and you’ll see a lot of “easiest 10/10 vote” type comments. And I just don’t get the love and feel like I’m missing something.
Other popular favorites like Steam Engine, Dondante, Golden, Lay Low, Strangulation, etc all make sense to me and are definitely top MMJ songs for me.
And, yes I have seen the extended live jam of Phone Went West. I was at the 2021 live vol 2 show in Chicago and definitely think the live jam is better than the album but it still seems only a slightly better version of a mediocre song.
Not even really sure why I’m posting this other than maybe to ask does anyone else feel confused by the Phone Went West love?
Listening to this on Live Vol. 1 and this song is incredibly beautiful and underrated. I’m shocked that the last time they played it was OBH in 2018 according to setlist.fm. What other songs has the band shelved that you would like to hear again?
