I think we can all agree that we’ve been spoiled by the incredible MMJ live content we have access to. Between the live albums, Nugs, fan recordings, and YouTube, I feel like I’m always searching for that next gem or “best” version of a song. On the way home from work the studio version of Golden shuffled on and it gave me chills! While there’s no beating MMJ live, it brought me back to the time when I first fell in love with the band. Some of yall might listen to their studio content the majority of the time so maybe I’m preaching to a small crowd.
They're on record saying the album is done and they are* touring behind it, and I believe they said EOY for the album drop.
I'm seeing Red Rocks and other popular venues announcing shows for 2025 already. It does seem like MMJ is always announcing later rather than sooner.
One Big Holiday - MMJ
Or could there be additional acts not alluded too?

Conan 2003!!! So young and so much hair. True rock and roll stuff! Iconic!
I know I’m setting myself up for a lashing but here goes.
I’ve been a fan of MMJ for about twenty years now. I found the band around the release of It Still Moves and immediately fell in love, going back and trying to find everything the band had released up until then. Tennessee Fire and At Dawn become instant favorites when listening back through their discography.
As much as I loved At Dawn initially I did feel that it was a little inconsistent at first. Songs like Honest Man, Just Because I Do, and especially Phone Went West seemed like weaker songs on an otherwise amazing album. Over time I’ve grown to love Honest Man and Just Because I Do, but still remain kind of meh on Phone Went West. Listening to At Dawn on a drive earlier this evening I had the thought that I think Phone Went West is possibly the weakest song on At Dawn.
Honestly, I thought this might be other fans take until I found this subreddit a few years ago. But boy was I wrong.
I remember in the recent song discussion threads Phone Went West was the highest rated MMJ song for a while by the community. Looking at the thread for that song and you’ll see a lot of “easiest 10/10 vote” type comments. And I just don’t get the love and feel like I’m missing something.
Other popular favorites like Steam Engine, Dondante, Golden, Lay Low, Strangulation, etc all make sense to me and are definitely top MMJ songs for me.
And, yes I have seen the extended live jam of Phone Went West. I was at the 2021 live vol 2 show in Chicago and definitely think the live jam is better than the album but it still seems only a slightly better version of a mediocre song.
Not even really sure why I’m posting this other than maybe to ask does anyone else feel confused by the Phone Went West love?
Listening to this on Live Vol. 1 and this song is incredibly beautiful and underrated. I’m shocked that the last time they played it was OBH in 2018 according to setlist.fm. What other songs has the band shelved that you would like to hear again?
I just want to shout it from the rooftops because holy moly, I could fight a bear to that song
Obviously a lot of this will be speculation, but I’m trying to just get a general idea and I have a few questions.
When can we expect lineup news?
What are ticket prices usually like for one day? I’m planning to go the last day.
Is it generally worth going if jacket is the only band on the bill I know of?
Thanks in advance for any insight!
Without discussing politics, tell us who you are voting for. Just curious about the breakdown of MMJ fans. Let’s keep it simple. Just vote. No arguing.
"Vol. 4 of the MMJ Live series documents the first night of My Morning Jacket’s 5-night run in 2010 at Terminal 5 in New York City. Performing their debut album, Tennessee Fire, in its entirety plus a 7-song encore, which includes covers of songs by Elton John and Jefferson Airplane."
11/22/2024. Get hyped!!!
Has there been any word from the band's camp about if or when the remaining shows from the E2E tour will be on Nugs?
Love hearing Evil Urges on the NFL Broadcast today!
When will the new album come out? Will they do a run of shows for the 20th anniversary of Z, or will they mostly tour behind the new album? Will they tour the entire year, just a run in the spring, summer or fall? Festival dates? Residencies? I’m guessing that 2025 is gonna be a huge year and I can’t wait.
Not gonna lie this song did nothing for me when I first heard it. But in true Jacket fashion it found a way to get stuck in my head. I find myself randomly singing it throughout the day. Anyone else feeling this way? 😂
It’s no wonder it went up against In Rainbows for a Grammy.
It came at a time where I wanted a more traditional MMJ album, but they took a left turn and they gave us this crazy fucking album. I return to the well at least once a year and own it on Vinyl. Getting my 10 year old son into it at the moment.
I know this album was divisive, but ha anyone come around in it in later years?
