Guys im gonna post stuff here i promise

I’d hate to see this subreddit die (well I mean it already did) but anyway I’m going to try to actually post some stuff here to hopefully stir up some action. There’s 15 members online at time of posting so I have hope. I think I’ll post something later today actually. Yeah. Anyway let’s all try to make this subreddit less dead :7 okay thats it bye have a nice day

Did you know that Mushrooms have over 36,000 genders? The Toads we're designed without gender in mind at all, so technically, Toad is the very first LGBTQ video game character. (Debut in 1985)

Toad

This is a social experiment. Ive seen things like these in other subreddits devoted to one character, so I want to see how everyone reacts to the word "toad"

My personal head canon on Toad biology

Toads are desert creatures who resemble fungus, they are smaller than humans, about the size of a medium child.

Their pileus (bulbous head thing) has several uses. It protects them from the desert sun, and acts as fat storage, similar to a camel. Toads can go a good deal of time with eating, but still feel the effects of hunger similar to humans. The pileus also acts as defense. It’s large size makes it hard for smaller predators to hold a secure grip on the head. Upon extreme stress, they can release a small cloud of spores, distracting would be predators.

Toads are natural sprinters as displayed in Mario 3D World, where Toad is the fastest. They would run across the rocky desert terrain, outrunning their prey. Their feet resemble ostrich feet with two claw like toes. Toads wear shoes in their adulthood to protect them from burning sand, but Toad children forgo shoes to built their running muscles and tolerance to the ground.

Gills on the side of their short neck help Toads to breathe and smell, similar to the noses of humans and other related animals.

Despite having an opposable thumb, Toads lack one finger, only having four.

Toads have small beaks to help them eat tough food. While this helps to tear apart prey, it also helps with eating foods like nuts, fruit, and cactus.

Despite their desert origin, most Toads reside in the island known as the mushroom kingdom. They migrated there thousands of years ago, and while a population still remains in the desert, most have forgotten their origin, even the Toads themselves.

I hope you enjoyed my personal take! Feel free to ask me questions!
