I made some acrylic spore print plates to clean up and spiff up my spore library. They work great, look awesome and are reusable. What do you all think?

First time grower here :) Has my mycelium fully colonized? It's been about 10 weeks since I injected the spores but should I leave it a little longer before moving to the next stage? Does it need to be so there is no visible substrate for it to be fully colonized? Cheers!

4 easy steps that work every time

1-24 hours before inoculation spray the bag of Uncle Ben's ready rice original or brown rice recipe with 70% isopropyl alcohol and rub it down with a paper towel covered in the same, leave to dry in a plastic tote sprayed down with Lysol for 2hours.

2-inside of the sterilized tote put a dollop of medical grade clear silicone an inch below the label where it says brown rice, cover the silicone with medical grade 3M tape.

3-after the first 24 hours bend the top of the bag 1/2 inch from the top put a clothes pin or a paperclip to keep it in place slice the top at an angle on both sides with a scissor, and immediately cover with 3m micropore tape. And when I say immediately I mean you have less than 5 seconds.

  1. Choose which spores you would like to inoculate with, sterilize your needle by putting one drop of 70% isopropyl alcohol inside the pink end of the needle and let sit for 1 minute then place the needle on your syringe and heat until red wait 15 seconds rub the front of the bag over the injection port once again with 70% isopropyl alcohol and then inoculate.

Remember during inoculation your time is counted in seconds not minutes, keep your head about you and you will do it every time.

Golden Teachers. First grow, might’ve waited too long but I’m learning. 350g wet yield. Grew Thai in the same tub and they matured way faster. Maybe just roll with one variety at a time?

My favorite BRF cake I ever got. Sure other cakes had more mushrooms but this fella was something special. I’ve done mainly BRF cakes since I started so if you have any BRF questions I’ll be glad to answer them 😁👍🏻

Pressure cooker

Looking to get a pressure cooker this month and was wondering if you guys have any suggestion on a specific brand? And what have been your experiences using a PC.

Short MushroomMotivation- I was growing oysters with a block and only got one flush before it wouldn’t fruit anymore. I crumbled it and mixed it with a dirt patch outside and got another 3 or 4 batches of the most delicious oysters I’ve ever had! Never give up, you might have another flush too!
