Does anyone know what mushroom this is?
I am a beginner and mushroom hunting if it helps I live in Alabama southern Alabama. I want to know on whether it’s OK to germinate and farm this mushroom to eat.

Most of mushroom hunters here in central Europe would say that this season is 1 month ahead of the average. And I agree, on Saturday I found many beautiful Scarletina boletes (Sutorius luridiformis) and some other species too. All of that is in my latest YouTube video here. I hope you will like it.

New Forager Looking for Advice
Hi Fellow Fungi Foragers!
I am planning my first ever mushroom foraging trip and would love to visit one of the NorCal fire scares sites for some easy morel mushroom picking. I’d like to target just the one easily-identifiable and findable species for my first hunt since I will not be with an experienced group and I want to minimize risk for myself and my partner.
Does anyone have suggestions on:
- good locations for access points to scar areas/starting to forage/beginner friendly?
- advice for a first-timer
- does anyone possibly want to join for a group meetup??

Oysters in my driveway!
I moved in not too long ago and saw some remnants of old mushrooms on this stump. Looks like they were oysters! Beauties

Beautiful Golden Oyster clusters
I just moved to Illinois and have brought my foraging tendencies with me. Found a little spot not far from my house with dozens of Golden Oyster clusters growing all around. Eating good tonight!
