How to make my scores look like this?

I have all the fonts etc but it’s the fading and the fine lines that are missing that I want to emulate in my own scores.

The old degraded quality but also keeping fine lines in place and not looking blurry or low quality. It’s just like some of the ink / detail is missing, almost like a file compression or visual editing effect of some sort.

I have added a link so the quality is retained:

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

musescore has just generally become worse with the last update.

1: it said it was fixing stability, i didn't notice any changes, freezes are still very frequent and so are sudden crashes

2: it adds this stupid "get more sounds/effects" thing in the mixer when selecting a sound/effect, it's not actively intrusive, but just generally annoying

3: for some reason unknown to god, it also disabled the ability to adjust things in the mixer with the scrollwheel (i.e volume or reverb)

overall, this has made my experience with musescore just a tad bit more frustrating. nothing that absolutely breaks the app, just a few things that chip away at my enjoyment

(also i tagged it as bug because i'm fairly certain 3 might not be intentional, and 1 definitely still needs real fixing)

Multiple Musesounds at once?

I don’t know if this is even possible, but I do a lot of sketches and would like to use a number of sound fonts at once on one instrument.

Ex: I have a saxophone ensemble piece I’m working on and would like to use the sound fonts for Sop through Bari. Having it switch between each once it extends past the range on the sound font.

Tremolo Style Option Not Available

I'm trying to switch the tremolo style to the one displayed on the right of the "Style (between notes)" tab but it's just greyed out. Anyone know what's going on here?

Can I override the notes being too low for an instrument?

(The flair might not be quite right idk)

So I'm creating an arrangement of a song for piano and female voice, but for listening purposes I have selected violin as the instrument because I don't like the fake singing noises. Some of the notes are too low for violin, so the notes are red and it won't let me listen to it to make sure it's right. (Sorry if there's a technical name for this that I don't know.) I generally think this is a good feature, but for this situation, or if I were planning on transposing it later, or I wanted to tune the violin string down or something, it would be really nice to be able to override that feature and hear the notes. Is there a way to do that?

What are these symbols called and how do I use them in Musescore?

Hi, I recently downloaded Musescore to try to fix an old piece of sheet music I frankensteined together using YouTube screenshots.

I don't exactly know what these symbols are called, or where they are in Musescore.

Oh, also. I included a link to an unlisted video with what I do have of the solo.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

The search function is weird

When I look up a score title, I can select the ensemble but I can only select a subset of that ensemble. Exa,ple: I search for vocal ensemble but when I click on vocal ensemble in the sidebar, it gives me checkboxes to select and when I select that, the others disappear. Is it possible to see simply all returning search results for vocal ensemble?

I have a question about how to download mscz. for free. Can someone help me?

If the flair is wrong or if my post isn't suitable for the sub, I beg your pardon. It's my first attempt here and I don't want to break any rules.

Lamentation - Kyle Hilton (UncleRed99)

Lamentation for Symphony/Chamber Orchestra

Glad I revisited this after leaving it alone for a few months. Even added in Spitfire VSTs for better playback.. N-Joee

How to make a dotted 8th quintuplet in 6/8?

I’m trying to make a dotted 8th note quintuplet in 6/8, which should take up the whole measure, but it continues to try and put the quintuplet over one beat instead of two with dotted 16th notes. How do I change the note value of the notes in the quintuplet?

Need help for android Musescore

Hello, I am writting this post cause I want some proper answer from Musescore app user(not pc).

I downloaded the Musescore at playstore on December 17th. Then I signed up with my google account and answered about personal questions like my age, my favourite instrument, my purpose etc. After finished all questions, It showed me that I have to pass three-steps to access app. I don't remember exactly what it said but I remember first step was I have to sign up for 7-days free trial(?). When I saw this, I immediately turned off the app and removed it. I didn't click anything like free trial button like others...I just removed it when it showed me those three-steps. But I am still afraid and worry if I could also get charged even I didn't click anything. what I did was just sign up with google account and answered all stupid questions, that's all. Didn't sign up for free trial like others. If this case also could get charged, how is that even possible? I never gave any my card information or numbers to Musescore.

Adjust measures per line

To learn using musescore, I'm trying to just enter a piece I already have sheet music for. The sheet music I have has 8 measures per line. When I enter it in musescore it only has 6 measures per line. For me I prefer the look or flow of the 8 per line, so how can I adjust the sheet to accommodate that? Would I have to adjust the margins on the page layout or can I set it to 8 measures and have it just shrink everything to fit the page?

Plug-ins for android app?

Is there a way to use musescore plug-ins on the mobile app? I prefer to use it on my phone over my computer and want to use the 12 hole ocarina fingering plug-in to help speed up learning

Does Musescore's free trial have a limit to how many songs you can download?

If there's a limit, I can't for the life of me find what is is online lol

Just in love with this french horn solo part in my original score :)

https://reddit.com/link/1hh9wsp/video/xvee6a6yyn7e1/player

Fixed the hairpin issue. Forgot that the playback sound is from a hidden staff. (Spitfire VST, to me, didn't really do the solo much justice. Musesounds with ProEQ to mellow it out some, seemed to be better)

3rd movement is really cool)

This piece is really interesting I think, it has a lot of ideas but all of them are not so structured. First of all my goal is combining styles together so it creates interesting fusion. But I really need to learn composition to structure my ideas. Anyway despite on all minuses I think this piece has the right to be heard)

MIDI into Ableton is bland!

Hello! I have been working on an orchestral arrangement. On Musescore, I have meticulously edited the sheet with the articulation, dynamics and tempo changes I desire. When I import the separate instruments MIDI files into Ableton, all the changes I did are not there and it is just the notes blandly at fixed dynamics, articulation and tempo.

Is there a fix to this? Thanks!

How does one go about when arranging a song? Do you start with the song as a baseline and then edit it or do you start with blank sheets?

Difference between searching on a browser then through the iPAD app?

For example, right now I'm searching for "Piece of my Heart", made famous by Janis Joplin. ON the browser, I get many results that correspond directly to the search, as in, they are some version or another of the song I'm looking for, and it isn't showing ANY wrong results.

On the iPAD app, I'm getting FIRSTLY as well as MOSTLY wrong results, with a few of the right ones interspersed.

Am I doing something wrong? SHould I be going browser-first, finding a version I like, then search for the profile associated with it?

Can I view all parts in concert pitch simultaneously (on charts with different key instruments?)

I'm not seeing this option, but would think MUSESCORE would be exactly the technology, with each note actually entered into the computer, not just a PDF symbol, to do the job. I have just upgraded to PRO, but I'm not seeing differences in the menus.

How do i make a rhythm look like this in musescore 4?

I want to make a double stop with different lenghts for the individual notes, such as in the example above. If i try to write this in musescore, when i dot the high B, it dots the low B as well, and i can't add the quaver on top of the half note either. I know this has to be possible somehow because the screenshot above is actually from a part on the musescore website. Can anyone help me with this?
