Everything about MUBI and more

I have noticed this problem with the sound mixing in some recent films. I watched Pricilla on mubi NL last night and ended up having to watch with subtitles to understand elvis and his low mumbles and other sections of dialog. If I turned up the volume so I could hear the dialogue then the next scene was way too loud. Why is this? Is this my system or anyone else have similar experiences with recent films?
Is this movie currently not streaming on their site?
Can I share my MUBI subscription with my friend?
I miss these official lists and the design of these lists were so minimal and beautiful to look at.
Im in Canada and I don't currently (as of Apr 2024) see Perfect Days or Priscilla in the "Now Showing" Films :( Is it the same for the rest of you in the states or Europe?
Hello. I have never had any subscription services before let it be Spotify, Netflix or anything. I always found the media I wanted to consume out there. However as I really enjoy unusual movies I decided to try mubi and it is really cheap for students in my country. And I really love the movies so far. But I had heard the movie of the day feature and when I subscribed I thought it was still there. I used to check the monthly selections last year and watch some of those movies out there. At first week I thought I was simply too stupid to find that section but now older threads here says it is a feature long gone and not available any more. So my question is, as older users, are movies updated at least as often as it used to? Or are they cutting on movies now that they don't update daily? What do you think about the future of Mubi? Thanks!
Any nihilistic or pessimism or both genre movies in mubi
I want to know if there are any good Japanese recommendations that are currently on mubi
It is not available for Mubi US subscribers .
I find the scant number of pre-60s flicks (less that 5% currently) a bit dismal. Thoughts?
Hi everyone,
I have to take screenshots for some films for my thesis, is there any proper/allowed way to do this on Mubi? Without getting a black screen, and without the quality going lost?
I read that disabling hardware acceleration might work, but for some reason this setting is nowhere to be found on my Microsoft laptop ...
EDIT I found a solution. Disabling hardware acceleration on browser works too. :)
Since there's no easy way to check the upcoming Mubi Go films and I got an email with the schedule, I'm sharing it here (applies to Germany):
- There's Still Tomorrow (from 4 April)
- La Chimera (from 11 April)
- Back to Black (from 18 April)
- Challengers (from 25 April)
I have been gifted with two codes of 1 year length each. Can I add it on the same account and get a total of two years?
Who gave the best / your favorite acting performance in Twin Peaks (1990-1991; 1992; 2017)?
Is anyone elses Mubi down? Since yesterday I've been getting an 500 Internal Server Error. Strangely the App works
Where did Cillian Murphy gave the best / your favorite acting performance?
I WANNA WATCH IT AGAIN BUT NO PAY FOR CINEMA AGAIN - CAN SOMEONE FIND IT FOR ME AND LINK BELOW PLSSSSSS I'M OBSESSED
So the mubi app works pretty good on my androidTV and iPhone (consistent max quality). But is borderline unwatchable on my laptop browser for some reason.(barely reaches max quality, buffering, etc)
I’m aware of the streaming issues Mubi has in general, but is it also possible in my case that something in my browser might be the culprit? I might be wrong but if it’s a server issue, shouldn’t my TV and phone also have the same problems? (Issue persists on edge, Chrome AND Firefox)
I hope someone has a solution to this as watching on TV all the time is not feasible in my case and I’m not a big fan of watching stuffs on Phones:/
