Anyone have extra grad tickets for the December 13th 9:30 graduation?
Hi everyone, I have an interview at msu. I anticipate they will ask me what do you know about out community (ie starkville). I have done some research online but it's inconsistent. What is some well know things to know about starkvile?
Is there any PhD students here who'd like to have a quick chat?
Applied to a PhD at MSU and would love some insights.
Thank you so much.
For context, I am an international student, from south Asian country. I'll get good amount of scholarships( I think).
I believe I'll get free housing(My ACT is 34) and my tuition and fees will be around $7K.
And, I am still not sure how much can I manage on my own. Can anyone help me?
I want to go to Msstate, I hope someone can help me. Please, Message me if you can.
Thankyou!
I'm high school senior looking at Mississippi State for mechanical engineering. I have a 4.2 WGPA and 1530 SAT. I was just wondering how prestigious/difficult the presidential and presidential endowed scholarships really are
So I'm an International Student and I have an avg GPA of 3.62 and an SAT score of 1490( 34 ACT equivalent).
In this scholarship page, I saw that this scholarship basically covers housing, but it says 34+ ACT?SAT equivalent. So, will I be elligible for this??
Thank you, I hope someone can answer me.
We’re coming down for the game, where is the best place to park? What are some game day experiences that should not be missed? Any cool traditions that happen we should be on the look out for (besides the obvious cowbells)? Any cool features at the stadium we should check out?
No idea when the next time Mizzou will get to play at State so we wanted to take advantage.
I am trying to register for classes. Has anyone taken Personal selling with paulo morilha lanzar
Hello, fellow Bulldogs. I'm wondering what you consider your most hated rivalry in whatever sport you can think of. I plan on doing this for every Power 4 school (at least the ones with a subreddit). I got into college football after getting a job at the University of Oregon and having a lot of fun with the new college football video game. in conclusion, who do you hate the most
I am trying to look for a 5 bedroom apartment but I am having a hard time finding any. One of the places I've been interested in is Redpoint, but I've heard pretty bad things about them, more than other apartments in the area. Is it really that bad?
Coming into town from Memphis to visit family. Bought the Go Wild ticket and won’t be able to play with my Memphis community. Just checking to see if there is a community here.
There’s a joke here somewhere. Only if we win
I recently went to transfer preview day and saw some sorority’s and fraternities. I just wanted more info about AKA since my aunt used to be in it. Any info is appreciated!!!
Hey everyone, I'm an incoming student, and I'm not from Mississippi. I'm considering waiting until I move to Starkville to start looking for a place to rent (staying the first few days at a hotel).
Is this a risky strategy? I'm worried that I might not find many options available by then. Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
I will start my year at msstate, looking for a sublease at the hangout starting from 3rd of January. Heard that the hangout is the closest to the university (carpenter hall).
Where's the best place in Starkville to work as a server to make a good amount of money? I'm going to school at State next year but will have to have a job and I will only be able to work 3 nights a week, maybe 4 but only if I have to. I need a place that I'll be able to pay my rent and buy groceries with those few shifts a week.
I'm joining Msstate this spring. Thinking about moving in Campus Trail apartment. Saw some really bad reviews here, though it's 3 years ago. My reason of chosing it is it's close to my department and I can move in some days prior to the sublease period begins.
Can someone provide some ideas if I have to chose between Yugo (21 Ace Avenue) ans Campus Trail (rents are quite similar), which one I should consider as a better option?
Asking as a prospective student
I’m going to be student teaching in the Spring, so I’d like to move out over winter break if possible.
2 floors, 3 bed 3 bath (my room has a jack&jill between the adjacent room), living room, kitchen, garage, laundry room.
If you need more details or want to check it out PM me and I got you
I’m a PhD student researching the relationship between religiosity and “adulting” behaviors among Gen Z emerging adults for my dissertation.
If you are 18-29 years old, whether you consider yourself religious or non-religious, please take this brief 5-7 minute-long, completely confidential survey.
So I have bunch of school stuff to do this weekend, readings, papers, outlines, etc. The Mitchell Memorial Library doesn't open until 2 pm Sunday. Are there any recommended places where I study/use before then?
Unexpectedly ended up in Starkville overnight at the emergency animal hospital. I have never been and I will say it’s a lovely little town and everyone is very nice. As a Vol fan I would love to visit again under better circumstances. Hopefully next time we play!
Just learned today that MSU has online degree programs. The online specific web page is very vague and won’t pull up any specific majors for the bachelors programs. I did see a major of applied sociology. I am wanting to major in Criminology and I know at State, that falls under the dept of sociology, I was not able to get any clarification. Would that even be an option?
This is a DEATH METAL/SLAM/HEAVY/SCARY/EVIL event happening in a few weeks.
It is the first stop on Fogcrawler’s mini-tour. Victims of the System is really cool. Plizzard are local death metal wizards.
You should come 🫵

Hey all!
Applying for the PhD in Cog Sci this year and wondering how much you get paid as a RA.
Does anyone know?
I just found out I got in today and this was my post from a couple of weeks ago lol. Got into the business school and everything looks good.
admission chances?
Admission chances
I know this sub probably gets alot of these but I’m sorry just be honest with me.
I toured early September and absolutely loved it. The campus, people and culture.
I have a 78% unweighted GPA and a 930 SAT. I took the October SAT and am hoping I got atleast an 1000. I’m an out of state student from the northeast and go to the number one catholic school in my county and it has been number one for a number of years in a row. I was a camp counselor for one year and am currently a busboy/runner at a restaurant I’ve been there for about a month and work 3-4 days a week and plan on continuing working. I would say I have around 150 volunteer hours most of those come from a mission trip I took my junior year to the southern border to give aid and community service to migrants. Community college is not an option for me. I see a lot of people recommending people attend CC then transfer but I am not going to do that if I don’t get in i’m going somewhere else. I want to major in Buinesss Administration and Some type of film/ writing major. I could go in undecided as I know Buinesss is a very popular major and then could transfer to the business school. I think a lot of people look at the high acceptance rate and say I should be good however a decent number of students applied last year from my school and only half got in. I plan on applying as soon as I get my SAT score back around October 18th. So hopefully I will have applied before anyone in my school. I plan on applying through Miss state and not the common app, Although I might apply through Common app if they prefer it or my counselor recommends it. I am taking economics Honors second semester and I think they can see that on my senior course schedule but I will have applied and probably get my admission status back before I start that. That will be my only honors/ap i’ve taken.
I think that covers most of it hopefully I didn’t miss anything. Again I know this sub gets a lot of these and I apologize but please be honest with me I am very worried and just want to know what people think. Thanks!
Edit: I forgot I wrestled one year (jv) and played rugby for one year (varsity) both during my freshmen year.
