Hi, everyone! First let me just say that I miss that town. Mountain Home was a lovely place. Anyway, I remember while I was stationed there that the locals would call us airmen “floppies.” I never quite understood the meaning of the term or how it was derived, so I was hoping to learn more about it from you folks. Is that even still a thing? I was there from 2002 to 2007.
Happening right now in Mountain Home, Cooper Park specifically a trump protest rally has formed. As of the time of this posting, one counter protester, an at-risk older man looking for allies. Or I guess, freedom of speech and all, go support a sore looser. After all, that counter protester fought for your right to do so. Exercise it!
Where the bitches at?
Hi r/mountainhome ! Planning on hiking the lava mountain trail north of Prairie and am curious if anyone knows if FR222 is currently snow covered. Thanks!

I'll be working for the Forest Service in Mountain Home this summer and I'm trying to find affordable temporary housing. I didn't see anything too close on Craigslist -- does anyone know where I might find anyone in the area who's willing to rent a room for a few months? Thanks!
I'm sorta new to the area and was wondering if there are any good places to board around here?
