I own a 2012 Crf250r and cannot find a single restyle kit for my bike. I’m looking for a 2024 style plastics kit if anyone has any idea where I could get one that would be great!.
Kx250f 17’ or a ktm sxf250 15’
The kxf has 147h but has brand new tires on and a brand new cylinder and piston. It is being sold by a company. Also has new tires and no huge visible damages some scratches but not a whole lot. The suspension has been adjusted. They can also keep the bike over the winter and I pick it up when I want to start riding for no extra cost.
The ktm has 88h and is being sold privately. It had new piston and timing chain (kamkedja) at 78h has the recipt. It has a small hole on the seat cover. Some scratches on the plastics a bit more then the kxf. The tires have 4h old mousse. And the suspension was done 5h ago.
The upside with the ktm is that it is electric start. Wasn’t planning on doing a lot of enduro but some. But it is about 3h away. The kxf is a newer model but with a kickstart and it is only 1.5h away and sold by a company. Both bikes are listed to being often maintained. The ktm with oil change every 5-7h and the oil filter. The air filter after every ride.
I am planning on riding mostly track but some enduro. And I am a beginner so not going to riding it so hard.
They are both priced the same at about 3300dollar with zero negotiation. With the ktm I also get a few air filters with ktm.
So my wondering is what would you choose and how long would the bike last before needing a top rebuild or a bottom rebuild. I am planning on changing the airfilter after every ride and oil and oil filter every 5-7h.
I own a 2016 YZ 250X and I'm looking to convert it to more motocross suited, in other words to a stock YZ 250. The why I'm doing is that in Finland you can get a lot better and cheaper insurance for the 250X. This is the only reason why I'm not buying a stock YZ 250: strictly regulatory and legal reasons.
So, I've already got a 21"/19" wheel set and the suspension will be tuned to regular YZ 250 spec the next time I send it to service. I have the impression that the suspension is otherwise the same on both models expect the valving is different.
That leaves the engine. If I'm understood correctly, the difference is pretty much a wider gearbox, less compression head, different YPVS assy and CDI. I have to service the top end and crank bearings soon, so I'm opening the cases anyways. I'm riding well below C-class, so not that fast yet. But learning more every time I ride. I don't ride trails, only motocross tracks. Now comes the questions:
What I am looking with these mods is to make my riding and learning easier. Sometimes at the track I feel that the current YZ250X setup takes a bit too long to get to the correct powerband and sometimes it feels that the 3rd gear is too tall and the 2nd gear too low.
I'm thinking of sourcing used parts for the gearbox, head and YPVS assy to keep the cost down.
I have a CR250 2001 and I ended up having my first major crash. Dislocating my shoulder and causing some damage to the bike. I ended up bending bars and mounts replaced both with new pro taper bars and mounts. Realigned forks and loosened and retighten the front end wheel clamps. Bars mounts seem still twisted. The left side mount seems to be the issues and bars aren’t straight any idea to fix. I can upload some photos later. Thank you for any help! Greatly appreciated!
I’m going to be near KL Sentral for a week and was wondering if there are any motocross tracks nearby that offer rental bikes. I’m looking for a place where I can enjoy some off-road riding during my stay. Any recommendations or tips would be greatly appreciated
What if Pierer Mobility (KTM, Husqvarna, GasGas) went bankrupt and Roger DeCoster found out? Here’s a parody video imagining the chaos that might follow. Spoiler: it’s all jokes, but the reactions are priceless!

Would Roger DeCoster’s legendary career survive a KTM collapse? And can anyone stop Jett Lawrence if that happens?
So I have a 21 month old that both my girlfriend and I have decided we would like to get him involved in motocross at a young age. He absolutely loves his push-balance-bike and we are buying him an electric HiBoy balance bike for toddlers for Christmas. He's already fallen a few times and hit his face a couple despite having a regular helmet on. Are there any full face helmet out there for a toddles 22-24 months? I'm not really finding anything or any information. I know we're kind of early getting him started but any information would be helpful!
So, I own MXGP21 and find it great fun. But I wanted to buy amother motocross game.
I saw that Monster Energy Supercross 5 is on sale, on Xbox, for $4, I want to buy it, cus its dirt cheap, BUT wanted to ask you guys something first. Is it worth it to wait on a sale of Supercross 6 or buy MX vs ATV Legends Supercross 2024?
Would really appreciate any replies, thanks👍
Hey everybody I’m new to motocross’s am I’m thinking about getting a better seat cover but I’m not sure which one to get. Like do I get one with ripples in it or none or what brand to get. Any advice would be amazing and greatly appreciate. I have a 2025 crf250r.
I love what he has done for the sport and the guest he interviews, but I don’t care about your bike in Dubai, I don’t care what golf clubs you use or what life you have - I care about the riders information and opinions.
I know he needs to have a persona too, but I feel a lot of the times I can’t listen to it anymore because it’s too much😅
Change my mind.
I want to buy my friends CR that does not run. It blew up when he rode it with his buddy on the back, I am not sure what is exactly wrong with it without taking it apart. He wants $1000 for it but I’m leaning more towards $500. What do we think?
Does anyone know what line of sweatshirts this is from? I’m looking to buy one and I cannot find any. I know it’s early 2000s but I cannot find one and I would like to own this sweatshirt
I’ve tried on a pair of size 30 motocross pants that fit my waist but pretty tight. and too tight in the crotch area.
Looking to buy online so I’m wondering if sizing up would be best for more room and comfort in the crotch area while still fitting my waist.
Dont want to risk with a size 32 and have it be too tight also.
Im looking at a pair of size 34s, should that do the trick?
Does anyone here size up and if so by how much ? Thanks.
Im 35 and just moved to Vegas from SoCal. I need some riding buddies. Heading to Sandy Valley today.
I've got the e-moto itch. Never been on a real dirtbike. Just a sport quad back in the day. 35 170 lbs no track experience. Would I be idiotic to buy a varg as my first dirtbike? I'd likely keep it on 10 HP for a long time lol. I do have a Surron LBX thats fun to ride around town and on trails but at the end of the day its not enough for me
Edit to add I have a few tracks nearby so I would have plenty of spots to ride (not around town like my Surron)
