I know this is a long shot but does anyone remember that track out camp that was located right near the park west shopping center? It’s currently an 02 fitness now but was wondering if anyone could remember the name of when it was a track out/summer camp and if anyone has any pictures of it during that time.
I'm looking for someone who can accompany me to the DMV for my road test. If you know an Uber driver or anyone willing to help, please let me know.
I didn’t bring my driver's license from my home country, so I’m unable to rent a car, and since I’m new to the city, I don’t know anyone here.
I’ve reached out to a few places, but they’re either too far or don’t offer slots for the whole day. I’m planning to do a walk-in this Monday, so I’ll need someone with a car between 11 AM and 3 PM (tentative timing, but it won’t take more than 3-4 hours). Once I get there on Monday, I can confirm the exact time required.
Hello Everyone,
I’m new to the country and don’t know many people I can reach out to for help yet. I have about 12 years of driving experience and am currently preparing for my road test. The challenge I’m facing is that the DMV has no appointments available, so I plan to go as a walk-in, which could take anywhere from 5 to 6 hours, or even longer.
I’ve tried contacting local driving schools for assistance, but I’ve run into some difficulties. Most of them are either located too far from my area, or they can only accommodate scheduled appointments at specific times. Since I’ll be going as a walk-in, I need to have access to a car for the entire day, which complicates things.
I’m hoping to get some advice on how to navigate this situation. Any suggestions on what could be done, or alternative solutions I might not have considered, would be greatly appreciated!
Hello, new to the area, any adult pickup basketball games around Morrisville? Or this side of Cary/Apex? Thank you in advance.
I'm the owner of Over The Moon Play Space here in Cary, and like all of you, I've been heartbroken seeing the impact of Hurricane Helene on families in WNC. I wanted to do what we can to help out, so we’ve been offering free play sessions to families displaced by the storm.
Kids can play in our space while parents take a breather, use our WiFi, and have some coffee on us. We’re also collecting diapers and wipes for families affected by the storm. If you know anyone who could use this, please send them our way or share this post. We’re trying to spread the word as best we can.
Details and signup are here: https://www.overthemoonplay.com/helene Families are welcome to come once per day.
We’re really just hoping to help in any way we can, and we’re grateful for any support in getting the message out to those who need it. Thanks!
Looking for a studio or 1 or 2 bedroom house to rent in the Morrisville/Cary area. Any suggestions of best way to search is much appreciated. It's a bit of a morass. TIA.
I’ll be moving soon and thought it would be a good idea to plug in

I just came to say I had Flywheel Detailing clean both my and my wife's cars last weekend and I felt that the service was exceptional. It's a small business and the young gentleman, Addison, who runs it has been doing it for 8 years. After talking with him, I admire his grit and hustle. I wish I saw it more nowadays. He spent almost 8 hours getting my 911 and my wife's Escalade looking better than when we bought them, he addressed issues I didn't know I had and checked all the tire's tread. My wife's SUV had a chunk of sidewall taken out, and neither of us realized, Addison spotted it and I was able to replace it asap. I highly recommend his auto detailing services.
Hey everybody, this is a long shot, but last night I lost my drivers license + my debit card at my apartment in Morrisville. My initials are D.S. Just wanted to post this to maybe see if anybody had seen anything. Thanks so much
Who’s the best vet in the Morrisville area?
Hi! I'm thinking about moving to Manor at Weston in Morrisville and wanted to ask if anyone has recent experience living there, especially regarding bugs/roaches and noise levels? Thanks!
I received a parking violation for “expired plates” although my plates are brand new. My registration was renewed a month ago. To make matters worse, the car next to me was parked in the handicapped space all night without a handicapped sticker and did not receive a violation.
Is it possible that I’m being targeted? My family and I are renters living in a HOA community and we’ve only been here a few months. We’re the only ones with our background that live in the neighborhood. We all have driveways and garages but there are actually parking spaces available as well. When I first moved here I would park in my garage but I’ve been parking in the parking spaces so my wife and I can avoid having to move her car if I’m leaving or returning.
Anybody make this drive in the mornings about 8:30 am? Need to be in wake forest and this would be a new route for me. Thanks for any info.
I just moved to Morrisville (near Park Place Shopping Center) and am looking for a new nail salon! I usually get just a basic SNS/dip and am really looking for somewhere that has affordable pricing and will last
Anyone has infos of the bust of a pop up brothel in Morrisville today?!? Its allegedly rented Airbnb that was housing traveling prostitutes and a madame. My family friend snapped some pics of the commotion while apparently about 20 Indian dudes that were arrested and questioning during the bust. 👀 it was on Cotulla Dr, by Aviator Parkway.
Are there any free car air pumps at a business anyone is aware of around Cary, or for that matter Morrisvile, Apex or Holly Springs?
I am planning to move to The Slater House because my job is nearby. Anyone here who is living in this specific apartment community or have any reviews about them?
Thank you!
Just a heads up that the Town of Morrisville wants to (actually may have this past week). Net is that the town is looking for close to a 20% increase - from 39 cents/$100 currently to 30 (revenue neutral), but instead the budget will increase to 35 cents per $100.
Looking at the budget further, much of this funding is being collected not because it is needed - but it is going into reserve accounts. However, this will end up being the base for taxes next year and the year after.
The situation is that if homes went up (say 60%) this year in value, I will end up paying 50% more in taxes this year. A lot of people are going to going to see huge increase in taxes!
I will be moving to Morrisville in next 2 weeks for my job and I was looking for apartments near my office. Anyone has idea how the Cortland Perimeter Park apartments are and information about the community?
Thank you!
Likely better places to ask, but does anyone know of a welder that does small jobs? I have a chair leg that needs repaired, but most welders I’ve spoken with only do large mechanical jobs.
TYIA!
Hello All, We had in person tours for apartments in Raleigh, Cary and Morrisville. From which we have liked 2 apartments 1. Ashley at Twin lakes (Morrisville) and 2. District at 54(Raleigh, Cary), so considering from the point of view of safety, neighborhood and Accessibility for Groceries what should be the choice. Any help on this would be helpful. Thanks.
Hi, I live near Park West. I have been hearing an odd noise for the whole morning, like a woodpecker, but it is more loud and ambient. Can anyone else hear it?
I just recently moved from Chapel Hill. I checked Planet Fitness but it's around 22 min drive. Any other cheap gyms in the area? (I stay near Bexley at Preston Apartments)
Thanks to prompting from our (now) new mod (welcome u/duman82), we're back! We now have rules too (pretty standard stuff). This town has grown considerably since this sub started, so let's see where we go!
Yesterday (07/12/23) at 5601 Arringdon Park Dr, Morrisville, NC a stranger and I stayed with a small muted gray and orange tortoiseshell colored kitten as she passed away from being recently hit by a car. If you are missing a kitten that matches this description - I'm so very sorry for your loss. There is very little I can offer you other than the knowledge of what happened and the solace that she was loved in her last minutes of life.
However this post is as much for the owner as it is for the stranger who went through this with me yesterday. I want you to have the closure you deserve too.
Please note the rest of this post could be upsetting if you've lost a cat to a similar incident. I apologize for posting this in a general city reddit but Morrisville is a in a werid area of close to Durham and Raleigh which both have different lost pet sites.
Yesterday, I came out of the doctors office to go back to my car. A woman was huddled over a small kitten, gently stroking her and talking to her while crying. I could tell that she was about to do everything in her power to save this kitten. She asked for my help. I crouched down with her to try and examine the damage, and it was very extensive. I felt for a heartbeat and she was already gone. There was very little suffering and the woman had stroked her back very gently until she passed. She was very upset and neither of us could bare to leave the kitten in the parking lot. I wrapped up the remains in a scarf and brought her home to my house in Durham and have buried her my garden under an azalea.
The woman was NOT the person that hit the cat. You could tell from the blood splatter that the kitten had been hiding under someone nearby's car (as cats do in the hot summer) and as they reversed they came out at an angle and hit her likely without ever knowing. It was an honest accident. The woman sitting in a car nearby and said she just looked up and saw the kitten and jumped into action.
I can't thank this stranger enough for being the type of human with a heart that sees suffering and wants to ease it. It took courage and strength to be there in those final moments. I admire her deeply. She treated that cat as if it were her own for the few minutes they had together. She wept for her and loved her. And as we hugged goodbye I could tell this was not over for her. She'd be thinking about this kitten that was and now isn't. She be thinking about the life they might have had or the joy of reuniting her with her parents. The kitten deserved a better chance but she still got you for the briefest time, and that's still a lot. I put flowers on her grave today to honor you both. She's at peace, so I hope you find some too.
