What carb can I buy to replace this on my Tomos Streetmate

Hey, was having some carb issues lately on my 2006 Tomos streetmate (A35) and the filter ended up breaking due to oversealing. The replacement UNI pod filter costs about the same as a new carburetor so I was thinking of just getting a new one to help with some leaking and other carb issue. The only thing is I can’t seem to find a carb that won’t involve replacing the intake. The previous owner did some mods to this bike (exhaust and oil delete) so not sure how much of this is stock. Any guidance would be greatly helpful. Thanks

I screwed up

Was putting the rotor back in and was gonna use my torque wrench to put it back in. Well it turns out if you don’t set your torque wrench back to zero after use the spring inside becomes un calibrated. I haven’t used my torque wrench in a while and it turns out it got stuck at a high torque. Any way this bolt is snapped because I’m an idiot. The remains of the previous bolt blocks the threads for the puller. Any ideas on how to get the whole rotor out so I can extract the bolt. I was thinking welding a slide hammer to it or something like that. I am not concerned about breaking the rotor as it was kinda scratched up anyway. All help is appreciated! (Jawa 210)

Hobbit Simonini pipe

https://www.treatland.tv/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=hobbit%2Dsimo%2Dcircuit%2Dclear%2Dalu&CartID=1

There are no reviews on Treats, and only anecdotal comments saying it doesn't fit, or does clear pedals.

Anyone here running this on a Hobbit? Does it clear pedals???

Looking for Proma alternatives while the 17% Treats sale still active.

Puch X30 Top Speed

Hello,

Recently I finished repairing my Puch X30 2 speed, manual moped and went on a trip with it. It has stock 12 mm Bing carburetor, stock exhaust, basically everything is stock on the bike. During the trip, which was about 40 kms long, it could do 35 kph on mostly flat terrain. I read it on multiple sites that while it depends on the country of origin, the bike can do 45 kph and while I’m not entirely sure where’s the bike from I think it’s Austrian. The carburetor needle is on its 1st notch from top to bottom.

My question is that should I wait until the engine cleans itself out( I had a hard time starting it for the first time), so it will achieve more output eventually or can the adjustment of the carb needle to make a richer fuel mixture influence speed?

I appreciate every answer!

Minarelli v1 60cc from carabela questions

So I have this carabela engine which is basicly a minarelli v1 but 60cc instead of 50cc and I am rebuilding the engine but have so many questions so here goes the questionnair haha

  1. Do I need a press to reasemble the engine?

  2. I am thinking of buying a New flywheel and estator and basicly all the Electric parts but I kind of whant the engine to rev a little higher so probably find a lighter one and May e one that can be avanced easily without taking the fly wheel (Im New to mopeds and only worked in cars so dont know if its the same principle)

  3. Is it viable to make it an electric start or not worth it.

  4. What other performance update do people do(I don't know if people POR the heads and I know I can put in a racing exhaust)

Honda Express Refresh

Hello I have been recently working on “Restoring” this 1980 Honda express. Me and my Father Bought it for 350 in running condition a few years back for 350 with issues. We changed the headlight and taillight bulbs, cleaned carb and replaced the spark plug as well as aesthetic things like license plate and putting the plate on. It has a clean title and I’m curious how much it would be worth considering is good condition mechanically and physically.

First start after the rebuild

*cylinder overbore, new piston and rings (it runs better now after letting it run a bit more and tuning the carb slightly. Even went on a short ride today)

No power tomos a35

Hi, i recently replaced my 14/9 with a 14/12 carburator on my tomos a35 and was working on dialing it in and experimenting with different jet sizes. I currently still have a restricted intake and am waiting for my unrestricted one to arrive. As i was swapping jets, i upjetted from 53 to 54 and the spark plug was oily, so i downjetted again to 53. Since then she runs pretty well on the stand, but when i sit down and want to start driving, it sounds like it is choking and then dies. Before i was able to drive with 53 so i am not sure what changed. Air flow should be fine, same behaviour with and without an air filter. Fuel flow also looks ok. I have a clear fuel line so i can see the fuel enter the carb. Wtf is going on?

Edit: After swapping back to the 14/9 and cleaning the spark plug, she runs normally. Spark plug was pretty greasy, the restricted intake is probably throwing off the mixture.

Best way to fix this?

Hello!

Long story short, I was taking apart a very old noped (1950s or something) and whoever had the bike before had welded the head onto the steering column. In order to get it off, I had to saw through the head. Unfortunately, on my first cut (halfway) I went a little too wide without realizing, sawing into the steering column itself.

Dimensions: OD 22mm, ID ~20mm, cut did not go through the tube

The only trouble is that I need it to be round and just about the same diameter as original. I considered welding a new 22mm piece on top after cutting this off, but then realized the tube might be too thin and that the weld might poke out and not let me put the head on later.

Let me know what you all think. Thanks in advance! :)

Exhaust or cylinder? Tomos A55

Should I get airsal 70cc kit or a exhaust for my tomos a55 moped. Both would cost me around 150€ but what do you guys think would make a bigger difference?

Tomos quadro not starting

Hi reddit, today I bought a tomos quadro, which worked fine when I bought it but when I got home it barely drove 100 meters and went out. It has had the turn signals removed and does not have a battery for electric start so I use the kickstart lever. There is good compression, there is spark and I have cleaned and checked the carburetor. It sounds a bit like it starts when you try but then it goes out again after a moment, it doesn't even stay running long enough for you to kick again. It sounds promising during kicking but right after that it goes out. What could be wrong with it? Thanks in advance

Edit: i made a video so you guys can see what i mean: https://youtu.be/iLzHKGGJM1k

Update: im gonna bring it to the local moped mechanic this following week, everything seems like it should work but it isnt, thanks for all the suggestions.

I'm having trouble keeping my Peugeot tse running well.

I put a dellorto carb on it and it was working perfectly for a while but I started to have issues idling after running for a while. So the scenario 90% of the time goes like this: I clean out the carb, ride to the grocery store perfectly fine, come out to go home and the bike has trouble starting then won't idle well at lights. I usually have to give it full throttle to get it started as if it was flooded. I thought it was a carb leak so I sprayed around with carb cleaner and nothing really happened. Then I poured some marvel mystery oil and let it sit for a few days in the cylinder and cleaned up the spark plug. I drove to the store again, it was absolutely ripping on the way there but like always it was dying on the way home.

Jawa 215 fresh crank and crank bearings. Engine turns over without any noticeable rubbing or collisions but is very stiff when rotating.

Man this Jawa 215 motor has been a pain in my ass at every step. Just got the cases together after doing all new bearings. The crank spins freely but it almost seems like the bearings are just rough. They are brand new skf bearings. I am able to spin it over by hand but it takes a fair amount of effort that is more than usual. Do I finish the build and send it or tear it back apart? What are your guys thoughts

50cc tomos dellorto 14/12 or 15/15

Hi everyone, i am looking to upgrade the power of my tomos a35 50cc and do not want to upgrade the ccs. The carburator is still original and quite old, so i am looking to replace it. Currently i have the 14/9, but the engine is upgraded to go 45km/h. Would it be better to go to the 15 15 or the 14 12? I don't want any major speed upgrades, just looking to up the torque and reliability. Currently the torque at lower rpm is horrendous, so i might have to change the gearing as well. What would you do?
