Whether you love them or hate them, this is the place to discuss and share your thoughts on these shameless copycats. From mockbusters that attempt to cash in on the success of Hollywood blockbusters, to low-budget films that try to emulate the style of classic movies, we explore the fascinating and often hilarious world of "rip-off cinema"

Is The Asylum the only Mockbuster company left?

Was looking around and it seems like all the other studios have gone out of business. Does anyone know of any companies/studios or people(like a director or producer that "specializes" in the genre") besides The Asylum?

Thanks in advance.

Seeking recommendations for enjoyable mockbusters.

Yeah, looking for some of those cheesy, shameless animated flicks. Let's avoid some classics like Ratatoing, I was looking for some really weird and specific ones. Thanks in advance.

Business practices regarding mockbusters

Does anyone know where mockbusters are and/or where usually sold? Pretty sure they be exclusively direct-to-video, but then there's the matter of which stores would call out a mockbuster on sight and trash it. After all, aren't there more than a few quality control red flags?

Where to find mockbusters

Where are some good places to find mockbuster films? I presume that retail is a better bet than online for, well, reasons we all know.
