i’m going into my second yr now and have just found out they’re constructing a new library that’ll be complete in 2028. surely they can’t shut the library for 4 years?
I've just been accepted today but cant find a definitive answer for when the course actually starts? Any help would be appreciated :)
I’m applying for an MA in English Studies and I have a few questions about the application process/portal. If there’s somewhere else anyone could direct me to find answers, I would appreciate it!
Again, if there’s somewhere else I should be looking for answers to these questions, please let me know! I’d also love any advice about applying, particularly from people in the MA English programme or other students/applicants from the USA :) Thank you!
I'm an international student joining MMU for a Master's degree and have applied for my CAS but still waiting for it. How long did it take for you to get your CAS number?
I still haven’t applied to mmu as my program was not in clearing and ucas is not open (maybe it was all booked), is there a chance that I can get into my desired course on 15th of august
Hi guys, I’m wondering when will MMU gonna send us if we got into the uni or not? I’ve been waiting and haven’t got anything so far. And I also got a false offer that they took it back before btw.
Hi 2 weeks ago just graduated and took my pictures there too. I was wondering if anyone know when will I receive my graduation pictures frames as it’s already been over 2 weeks and they’ve said nothing so far
Thanks
I got sent and unconditional then a day later got told it was a system error. Devastated.
Moving to Mill Point in September. Year 2 student. Anybody know any groups where I can find my Flatmate's or others in the building? I wrote on Mill Points app a few weeks ago for my flat but nobody has responded. Thanks
Hello, I'm an international student who has been confirmed a place in MMU on UCAS.
As the title says, I have questions about when does MMU start. In the UCAS application, it says that the course I applied for starts on the 1st of September, meanwhile if I look up the term dates of MMU, the induction week starts on the 23rd of September.
I just wanted to make sure when should I arrive in Manchester as if arriving before the 23rd is more convenient for me than arriving before the 1st of September. Thanks in advance.
Im planning on doing my bachelors in mmu in cybersecurity this September 2024.. But I haven’t applied yet.. as my agent told me that they have stopped taking applications and they will open it on 15th of august (when A levels results) is gonna be out.
Is he lying to me ? Because he will get commission from other universities and not mmu
So I applied to the computer games development course at MMU as an international student and the requirements are listen as BCC but I saw that historial grades say that students with a CDD have gotten in before and I was just wondering if the uni is known to be lenient or if that was like a one off situation?
I recently got private accommodation for MMU in September at Parkway Gate, I did it through the MMU website so I assume it’s just MMU students but I was wondering apart from the facilities, how much different is private accommodation compared to the normal flats etc in terms of social life etc and will I be with anyone from different years?
Can someone tell me what the halls are like at MMU, like which ones are the most social ones, quiet ones, a bit of a mix and which ones have the most people and least people just since I’ve accepted an offer there and I’m curious to which ones are what or are they all really the same. Which ones have the best/worst facilities I’m just wondering?
Hi im starting at MMU in september and im not quite sure how to book accommodation, ive looked on the link on the website and nothing comes up. Anyone else having this issue? im gonna call up soon if i still cant figure it out but any help would be appreciated.
Hi
Are there any MMU graduates in this group? My graduation ceremony is coming up and I have a few questions about booking photography and robe hire.
Can anyone suggest a photographer for the event (other than the official Ede and Ravenscroft)?
Can I hire/buy robe from any store (Other than the official partner Ede and Ravenscroft)?
I already got a conditional offer from MMU for BSc. Ai+Data science. But i want a curriculum that is strong in maths. However, MMU offers only two modules for Maths+Statistics. And there was no information about the breadth and depth of the topics covered for the modules. So, has anyone attended that course to give a review for that matter? I also sent emails to their course enquiry team, but their reply is taking too long.

’m applying to university now to MMU to do history. I have 3 Bs in A levels already so I have the grades. I’m just a bit worried that I won’t receive an offer since I’m applying quite late since the last deadline to apply by is the 30th June. I have the grade requirements it’s just if I’ll get an offer late on. Has anyone else applied this late I know there’s clearing but I’m wondering if people were still able to get offers this late from MMU or uni equivalents from the normal application process when applying later on from the January deadline?
I went to MMU for a few months but didn’t like the course etc so decided to drop out. I’m planning on returning next year doing history since that’s what I’m most interested in. Im a bit hesitant tho since I’d have rather have gone uni of Manchester but just missed out on grades. I have mates and know people who have been MMU but some mates recently have said it’s rubbish, not serious and people there are annoying, people don’t show up to group work etc. on the other hand people have said it’s “their best time of their lives” (which we’ve heard a million times before). How different is MMU to Uni of Manchester if anyone could let me know? I met some people in my flat who were alright, some were nice others were completely stupid and annoying. I wasn’t sure whether to move in again or come in from home and then eventually move in when I make friends on my course or whatever. I feel like a lot of people go to uni for a piss up which can be fun but has elements of nobheads from secondary school vibe. I just want some opinions since I’m not sure on the situation and what their overall thoughts and experience of MMU was like and what courses people did?
Hi.
I am a data journalist at Mancunian Matters and I recently found some data about a rise in gambling use among university students.
If anyone here is an avid gambler in any capacity, please get in touch. It would be much appreciated.
I am currently at Man Met and realised the lack of lifting based sports whether that be powerlifting, olympic weightlifting or strongman. I feel as though other uni's have these teams/societies and we are somewhat missing out/lacking in these areas and would love to know if anyone who is a current student would like to get together and try to form a society for these sports as a collective, if you are interested shoot me a DM or a reply and we can try and make something official!
I'm currently a student looking at moving into a house next year with my flatmates. One problem is that we are all girls, so we are worried about our security/safety. We have been looking into getting a camera doorbell to put outside our front door for the time being - I have looked at the Ring one, but apparently, you have to pay a fee to keep the footage, which we won't be able to afford. I have also come across the Eufy Video Doorbell. Should we get it, or are we being paranoid?
Hi guys, anyone moving in to Archway in September drop your @'s and we can arrange a meetup before we move in!
Hey, I'm writing a report for my university course which needs us to make surveys for data collection so I'm posting here to get a wider data spread.
if you could take the time to fill it I would appreciate it 🙏
Survey Link: https://forms.gle/G4qddt6zW7ZHsecM9
Also, it would help if you've got feedback on the survey since this is my first one for a report.
Thank you!
If anyone could fill in this 5 min survey for my dissertation I would be extremely grateful! It's about public experience with smart transport in Manchester
