Over the entire course of at least the modern history of the CCG, there has been one constant: that the Midwest has always remained a hotbed of creativity and dedication to the craft of this game. Thus it has never been a surprise that Ponyville Ciderfest and the other conventions in that region have been places to see innovation in the space. Especially for this year's Core meta, where the con tournament represented a chance for builders to grapple with the revelations of this year's Continentals event. Would it be another mess of White and Canterlogic everywhere, or would people find some way to tamp down on the things that ran rampant at Everfree? Now, the results are in, and we can talk about them. Meticulously.
As usual, our stream will start at 9:30 AM Pacific time (12:30 Eastern) on https://www.twitch.tv/meticuloustalks
Good evening everypony!
Ponyville Ciderfest 2024 has come and gone, and it was a blast! Thank you to everypony who came and saw us in the Tabletop Gaming room and attended our Design-a-Card panel!
We also want to thank Joking Luna for working with Staff to run multiple CCG events throughout the weekend. All of us in attendance enjoying participating!
Of course, any time there is a convention or major CCG event, we want to take some time and recap the top decks from each Constructed Tournament, but we also have a special announcement that some of you may have seen something about already, but you'll need to stick around at the end to get the full scoop!
Join us this Sunday, November 17th at 7:00 PM Pacific as we look at the top decks from the Constructed events at PVCF 2024, and discuss what we have planned for the near future!
This was a new format I came up with this year. Adventure format, but Titles and Subtitles with the Mane 6 from G4 and G5 are not allowed.
In hindsight, it does seem to hearken back to Silver Spanner.

Good evening, Everypony!
We are just under a week away from Ponyville Ciderfest 2024! It's going to be a great weekend! Leading up to the event, we wanted to take some time to show what decks we are bringing for both the Core and Harmony Constructed events.
Join us this Sunday October 27th at 7:00 PM Pacific as we discuss what we’re running at Ponyville Ciderfest 2024!
Hithroc and I have taken an extended break thanks to the intercession of the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday, but after that we are ready to go once again. And in the intervening time there was a Harmony tournament held online. Harmony is something of an acquired taste, having a reputation as a haven for degeneracy, and indeed looking around at these tournament I see some amount of familiar faces. But it can often be illuminating to see the kind of innovation that takes place in such a cutthroat environment as the Harmony meta. In order to shine here, cards need to really be worth their weight. So the two of us will take a look and have a talk.
The stream will be live on https://www.twitch.tv/meticuloustalks starting at 9:30 AM Pacific time (12:30 PM Eastern).

This past weekend, we hosted an OnlineCon that featured the first Harmony event since New Generation's release! With new cards out in the wild, there's great opportunity to try new ideas or improve on old classics, so we are going to take a closer look at the craziness that always happens when Harmony's involved!
Join us this Sunday, October 13th at 7:00 PM Pacific as we recap the decks from OnlineCon 19!
Warning i am sleep deprevied and my tpying quality is low right now lol.
I got like 3 metal cards from the mlp ccg game.

I wanted to auction these off on ebay gotta pay off debt curious how much they're worth.

Last OnlineCon's theme was mill. This one's theme is pile, but also mill. Also maybe don't schedule an OnlineCon at the same time as a real ponycon. Woops.

A little over five years ago, spurred by an interest in statistical modelling and just a wee little bit of data science, I started a project that I called TIA, which is a quite tortured acronym standing for Transformed Index of Achievement. Now a lot has changed since then, but the project has moved on and grown more complex and more comprehensive with each passing year. So I figure that here, on its five-year anniversary, would be a good time to talk a bit about the history of the project, some of the math that goes into computing it these days, and some of my plans for future expansion and elaboration. Math and statistics can sometimes be dry topics, but I'm going to do my best to provide some context and keep things interesting, so if you're interested in where exactly the numbers that get posted in TIA updates come from, this may be the stream for you.
The stream will air in our usual scheduled time slot of 9:30 AM Pacific time (12:30 PM Eastern) on September 28, 2024. You can watch it on https://www.twitch.tv/meticuloustalks
Good evening everypony!
Last time, we took a glance at the top decks from Everfree Northwest, but when we recap events, we usually only briefly talk about what each deck can do. But with a format rotation and a new full set being added, there’s much more going on in some of these lists than what can be explained in a couple minutes. This time, we want to go even deeper--looking at things such as Sideboard choices, mulligan decisions, matchup tactics, and secret tech plays!
Join us this Sunday, September 22nd at 7:00 PM Pacific as we take a few decks that were ran in Continentals and put them under the magnifying glass!
You know what we forgot to do? Prerelease. That's right, we released a whole set and didn't even let you mess around with it first before throwing you into the deep end that is Core 4.0. Also since this hasn't really been a thing it's probably also worth running a Harmony event just to see what kind of madness you lot cook up.
Featuring an Harmony constructed event with all fourteen sets and a New Generations sealed event to complete the prerelease ritual!

Just the title
Good day, friends!
It's only a little more than a month after our Set Review for New Generation, so naturally this is the perfect to have a little retrospective, right! Seriously, we usually don't get a whole lot of results right after the release of a new set, but thanks to the proximity of Continentals this year, we have already have a good long list of Hits and Misses (mostly Misses, let's be honest) to reflect upon and think about. Perhaps it's time to have another look at those 5's that failed to land with any impression, and those "okay" 3's that kind of dominated the discussion at Everfree. What were we thinking? What should we think about in the future to make up for the miss? As with any retrospective, the focus here will be on lessons learned.
With this stream, we'll return to our normal streaming dates, still at our usual time of 9:30 AM Pacific (12:30 PM Eastern), at https://www.twitch.tv/meticuloustalks
