Hello everyone, I just got into an accident today Feb 03, at 4:45pm, intersection Hurontaio and Sherwoodtowne Blvd, just exit from the highway 403. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone had the dash cam footage at that time. Thanks.

I was one of many who had a flooding over the summer
Mississauga launched a compassionate flood relief grant back in early December - https://www.mississauga.ca/services-and-programs/home-and-yard/stormwater/apply-for-a-compassionate-flood-relief-grant/
I applied for this and was told it can take up to 2 weeks to get a reply. It's been 2 months, and I check the "service request lookup" on Mississauga's site and it just says my request is "open" with no other update.
Did anyone else apply and has anyone heard back?
Hi All,
I'm taking a job in the centre of Mississauga. I'm from the UK and just wanted to get local inputs as to affordable and safe places to live which are commutable. I'm willing to drive up to an hour to get in.
I've seen Oakville and Hamilton are recommended places but I just wanted to get a general feel. Ideally want to live in a house as opposed to an apartment/condo.
Prices around Mississauga and Toronto seem pretty high. I'm not bothered about being out in a quieter neighbourhood etc. It's just my wife and I. We're pretty outdoorsy, I'm also a musician.
I live right by Square One and just got my 60 day eviction notice since the landlords are selling. What’s the most cost effective way for me to get moving boxes and supplies? Also, does anyone know any good cheap moving companies?
Hello everyone are there any On-Site Event Heat press companies in Mississauga? I plan on hosting an event and would like to use the heat press for jerseys there.
Thanks!
Was walking my dog today when I noticed someone feeding the ducks UNCOOKED RICE from a bag.
I went up politely and mentioned there's a sign that says no feeing wildlife as it's not good for them (any type of food)
This man kept on feeding them, I said "this is against a city bylaw" he walks up and starts yelling "leave me alone" (he's with his grandson i believe) so I back up and say okay I'll be reporting this and he starts going for something in his pocket. I back up and reach for my keys incase and then he yells "I KILL YOU!"
like what?! Insane how people jump to 100% because someone calls them out on doing something illegal. I'm an amateur wildlife photographer so I actually care about the wildlife in the area.
Be careful out there. I reported it incase he's acted like this before and yeah maybe "it's not my place" etc but people can't just feel entitled enough to do whatever they want with no consequences no matter how meaningless the action seems.
Does anybody know if there’s a database where you can find which daycares in mississauga are part of the CWELCC program?
I’m looking into the lullaby centres specifically. If anyone has how much their infant room is.
Thanks!
My insurance only covers $300 and trying to find if any that provide for under $300. TIA!

The Eglinton LRT and Finch West LRT in Toronto have been getting media scrutiny for their frequent delays, but I haven't really noticed this LRT in the news at all. Not for any critical opinions at least.
So I decided to ask the people of Mississauga how construction is progressing? Some LRT tracks are visible on satellite imagery but I don't think those photographs are up to date.
Hey, I produce comedy shows and I wanted to know what area you think would be best suited to produce a show !
Is there any store that has a ton of used books in square one/streetsville/meadowvale or in Mississauga, there are none that I can think of and any of the thrift stores that I’ve been to have a small selection
I’m looking at transferring my kids to the DPCDSB. They are currently in French Immersion and would be continuing in the program. Can anyone whose children attend (or attended) these schools and, preferably, are enrolled in the FI program at these schools, kindly share your experiences? I’d greatly appreciate it. As for any parent, making such a decision isn’t easy so any information I can gather would help immensely. Many thanks.
I was at the pump at the Pioneer gas station in Streetsville. There were basically no other customers at the time. I tapped my card to prepay, and if you can believe it, the prices increased by almost 10c/liter right in front of my eyes. I look at the big price sign and yeah, it changed there too.
It had to be deliberate because it was almost closing time. I read google reviews of the place and it's been happening to other people too.
Watch out for this scam, I already reported it to Pioneer customer service.
We’re driving west across Britannia and saw at least 9 planes that look strange. Look large, lots of lights on the front and flying low and where you would t normally see them. Anyone know what they are?
Hey everyone!
I've seen a lot of posts over the years asking where to go for stargazing near Mississauga & the GTA, and I wanted to compile all the best locations based on recommendations from various discussions. Whether you're looking for a quick local spot or a proper dark sky preserve, this guide has something for everyone!
These locations aren't perfect, but they have less light pollution than most areas in the city:
For a better experience, these locations offer significantly darker skies and are still fairly close:
7. Rattlesnake Point (Milton) – Highly recommended for clear night skies.
8. Kelso Lake (Milton) – Great for seeing hundreds of stars.
9. Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) Grounds – Various spots with lower light pollution.
10. Niagara Escarpment (Milton area) – Provides relatively darker skies with open horizons.
11. Kennedy Road (Brampton to Caledon, towards Orangeville) – Gets very dark at night.
12. Belfountain Conservation Area (40 mins from Mississauga) – Dark skies and peaceful surroundings.
13. Trafalgar Road (North of Dundas, Oakville) – Just outside the city, decent for casual stargazing.
14. Ninth Line (Mississauga/Oakville border) – Suggested as one of the better accessible dark spots.
15. Escarpment Sideroad (Caledon, via Hwy 10) – One of the closest truly dark locations.
16. North of Georgetown – Noticeable reduction in light pollution compared to the GTA.
17. North Brampton / Caledon – Some of the best dark sky conditions within an hour of the city.
If you're willing to drive further, these places offer some of the best dark skies in Ontario:
18. David Dunlap Observatory (Richmond Hill) – A known public observatory with telescope access.
19. Huntsville (Muskoka region) – Great for combining a weekend trip with stargazing.
20. Dundalk (north of Shelburne) – Very dark skies, good for astrophotography.
21. Torrance Barrens Dark-Sky Preserve (Gravenhurst, ON) – One of Ontario’s official dark sky preserves.

If you're looking for public telescope viewings and astronomy events, check out:
If you're making an overnight trip, these areas have cottages & lodges near dark skies:
Hope this helps! If you've been to any of these spots, or if you have other recommendations, feel free to share in the comments! 🌠🔭🚀
Hi All,
I'm doing some research on scooter pricing across North America. Unfortunately, Lime locks this information down from city to city. Would someone in the area screenshot the LimePass page on the app?

Looking for recommendations for the best med spa in Sauga for acne scar treatments.
Has anyone used or heard of all state driving school? I'm looking for driving schools in Mississauga and they have the best prices but i can't seem to find any reviews on them, they are ministry approved though
I have a huge pile of records and CDs I want to get rid of and was hoping someone might know a good place I can sell them. I know The Beat Goes On buys this stuff, so I was thinking of going there, but I'm open to suggestions if there's a better place to sell to.
I'm fine venturing outside of Mississauga but preferably not Toronto lol. Thanks in advance for the help!
Are there any Catholic Churches in Mississauga that have a great choir that sing a bit of worship music? Maybe a younger crowd?
Good day fellow Jeep owners. I would like to propose a Jeep rally on Monday Feb 3, 2025. By "rally" I mean park on the third floor parking garage of the Clarkson go station if you commute to work.
I've seen about 8 jeeps parked next to each other this past Thursday. I just want to kick it up a notch and take over the whole third floor. We need to show those broncos and G wagons they don't belong on our floor!!
Who will stand with me this Monday!! I will be parked there at 7:30AM.
EDIT: I will be handing out ducks to all the Jeeps!
