Any idea ? all my settings are at the minimum exepct per pixel light calculations. If i deactivate this settings everything flickers
Please help!
I'm having an issue with reflections flickering really badly as night falls and especially during rainy/stormy days. The video is of it happening on water, but I have another I'll upload as well of it happening really badly on windows. I've had a similar issue with all RTX mods I've tried, so I'm wondering if it's a general ray tracing issue or a problem with how I have my game setup. I have a 4060ti with 16gb of VRAM, I wouldn't think it's a hardware issue, so any suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Specs: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Zotac RTX 4060ti 16gb
32gb G.Skill Trident ddr5 6000
I play in 1440p with uncapped framerate, if it matters.
This video is using Kelly's RTX and all of the addons.
Anyone know of any up to date RTX guides?
Or anyone amazing enough to write one?
I recently tried java with some shaders and it has renewed my pre-update-aquatic interest in the game
I know shaders can be more comprehensive but I don't care.
Hi all,
Thank you for taking the time to read this, but I need some help on hardware upgrades for my daughter's pc. She is running a 12400f with 16gb DDR4 and a 2060 Super. She has been playing Minecraft vanilla for awhile now, but after seeing some youtube videos, she wants to give RTX or shaders a try. Since shaders is largely a Java only thing and not really what this reddit is about, I will set that to the side.
As for RTX Minecraft, what would the baseline improvements I would need to do to her rig? She is running my old Dell 1440P 144HZ monitor. For her, I am thinking close to 60FPS would be good. Obviously a 4080 or 4090 is out of the question for her rig (Hell, I only have a 4070 Super!). But would a 4060 Ti cut it or am I overthinking it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I was using RTX in Bedrock preview up until recently. The last update seems to have broken it. The Ray Tracing toggle will not stay selected. Same goes for Fancy Graphics.
Anyone else having this issue?
Kind of confused about this. The owner of my friends realm bought and used modpacks on their world . From what I’ve seen, this means we can’t use RTX now?
How I can play Minecraft server in ray tracing such as CubeCraft? I currently have a PC with an RTX card.
Specs:
What are the 4060ti and 3080’s performance in 1440p? (in mc RTX, of course)
Is there any reason to go with the 4060ti over the 3080 for raytracing, like new dlss?
Due to the blocky, sharp nature of Minecraft's geometry, bounced lighting rarely reaches where you'd like it to reach. As a result surfaces that are not directly lit often appear dark. I've been wondering, is there any workaround to make torches (and other light sources) illuminate geometrically unreachable surfaces? Maybe the number of light bounces and/or light intensity should be somehow increased? (Won't help in the open air) Or make the light slightly leak through the block faces? (May cause lots of unwanted light leakage)
What do you think?
Hey guys, I’ve been getting back into Minecraft on a realm with some friends. It is bedrock edition but I have a beast PC (4080) and want to make it look beautiful.
I am very uninformed on how RTX works in Minecraft and I’m super apprehensive about downloads from my dumb kid clicking buttons getting the family computer a virus era.
If someone could tell me the best way to get ray tracing in a bedrock realm or at least where to start I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
Minecraft is lowering my textures quality because according to it, I have low memory. Which is flat untrue. I have 64GB Dual DDR5 GSkill and 16GB VRAM (MSI RTX 4080 Super SURPIM X). And the game is only using 6.4gb of VRAM and like 2.1gb of RAM. There has to be something wrong in the settings cause at least for me, it doesn't make any sense. Any help would be appreciated.
Specs:
Ryzen 7 7800x3d MSI RTX 4080 Super Suprim X G.SKILL Trident 2x32 DDR5
Why do they look bumpy and have those bumps cast shadows? And the reflections and different materials?
Is it a texture pack? Is there a way to get that on Java? Since you can get the actual raytracing but not the cool textures?
Hey! Me and some friends have made a minecraft server that we are pretty proud of. Instead of having the same old gamemodes every other server has, we have created our own custom gamemode. Its basically a mix between vanilla surivval, factions, skyblock and prisons. You create a team, claim a base, and raid other bases using TNT (not the same system as factions). It has PvE elements in the form of bosses and dungeons, PvP elements in form of a massive warzone, PvP events like koth, and team fighting elements as there is a team top leaderboard. It only supports java for now, but we will add bedrock support in the future.
Now since this is a new gamemode, we are expecting a lot of bugs. Thats why we are looking for multiple people to help us test the server. Anyone down to test it?
Thanks!
I'm trying to join my brother's (Bedrock) realm using the Nvidia RTX pack compiled by gamerpotion and I get the following error:
"You are unable to join the world because you have the following incompatible packs: RTX Ray Tracing Resource Pack [1.00]"
I've played this world with the exact setup many times with no issue, did Microsoft ruin it with an update or something? It also affects single player worlds and doesn't work after updating to 2.00
I'm currently using Prizma but I heard there are better options for PVP and performance.
I installed Java the other day with OptiFine and a shader and texture pack. But I'm still astonished how bad the performances on my system (64gb ram, 5600x 4090,) So I'm not really sure which way I should be going if I want to casually like a game with Ray tracing when I don't intend to mod the game (aside from rt)
As I understand it When it comes to pros and cons... Pros for the bedrock edition are; It runs better, It has controller support without me needing to mess around with stuff and the ray tracing is just there built in And I think there are resource packs that are better for Ray tracing here When it comes to looking vanilla But still utilize the features of Ray tracing well?
Cons; No mod support, A cluster fuck of a UI, apparently the game has some mechanic quirks, I have heard the ray tracing implementation is half baked and it's not been kept up with as the game has gotten more updates ?
There may be more but the thing that really made me go "oh boy..... Idk about this was seeing how low my FPS would drop despite the power of my PC with the Java edition.
Hey y'all! A month or so ago, I decided that just because I was stuck on Bedrock for a server doesn't mean that I had to suffer without shaders. So I delved into the world of bedrock shaders, which as I'm sure most of you know, is not super straightforward for someone who's starting at zero knowledge.
Over my research and helping my friends out, I developed a drive with a comprehensive guide as to how to get BetterRTX shaders going on your PC, as well as a few shader options and comparison photos. I've only just gotten around to sharing it!
If you're new and lost or confused as to how to get shaders going on Bedrock for PC, or you know someone that wants to get into it, take a look at this. I wrote it to be as friendly and accessible as possible - the steps are laid out super clearly, but there's also more detailed explanations available for anyone that wants to know a bit more. This is the all-in-one-place guide that I was looking for a month ago, and couldn't find.
Check it out! https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/10AlTkruliGEYUt5oIWp0p4-jAaPsI_go
Please note that while I've had people look over it, I am still new to the information. The installation is pretty fool-proof, but if any of my explanations are missing something please let me know!
I loaded up the Bloom map with Vanilla RTX and there's a bunch of these black blocks all over the map (they also show up with Kelly's RTX). They're not solid, I can go right through them, but I can't break them, and can't use pick block to figure out what they are, the only way to destroy them is with /setblock or /fill. Anybody know what they are or how I'd be able to easily get rid of all of them?
Also, there's this section of the hedge maze that just doesn't appear at all. Replacing the blocks with other ones works, but putting the default blocks back in place still doesn't make them appear. It's bizarre, anybody know how to fix it?
Microsoft and Nvidia have not updated it since launch, best I can tell. No new maps. No integration of their newer RTX features like DLSS 3 frame generation and Ray Reconstruction (which would be amazing in Minecraft RTX btw!). You can’t even update the dll file to use newer iterations of DLSS 2 upscaling.
They even had a version of this working on the Xbox Series consoles, accidentally released briefly (some people even played it) and then took it back and never officially released it at all.
Regardless of the quality I set, from "potato" to "very high", my game always gets stuck at 10~20 fps. How can I fix this? (It is worth remembering that in both prints I have an open server)
