This kept happening a couple months back. It would start at night around 11/12pm and sometime in the super early morning from like 1-3am. They were extremely loud boom noises, that were freaking nonstop, I almost called the cops a few times to see if they got any reports. I first thought, oh its just fire works...but the rate at which it was going and the length of time it would last...there is no way. It would happen in spurts, one lasting like 20-30 minutes straight. This happened on and off for about 2 months, then it stopped, and I have only heard it one time since. The weird thing was that it was kind of south east from my location, so like heading towards the city of midland or maybe the bullock creek area. It was def quite a few miles from my location but loud and strong enough to hear it and feel like a slight vibration from the super loud booms.
I recently seen a dude on the news talking about something similar in another state. Anyone else experience this in or around Midland?

Does anyone know of boxing classes in the city of Midland? Could be 1-on-1 with an instructor or group.
I can't find any in Midland itself, just some in Saginaw/Bay City. I'd prefer not to go that far if possible.
Hey all! Friction Theatre is doing our third year of Evil Dead!
Not doing it outside this year, we’ll be in one of the pullbarns in the Midland Fairgrounds. This year is going to be our biggest set and most seating availability! We’ll be selling drinks and we have the drinking game to play along with it as well.
If you’re close by, you should catch the show! It’s playing the next three weekends.
Info and tickets at at thefrictiontheatre.org
Hey all, I’m one of the directors of A Two Hearted Tale. We’re screening the documentary on the creation of the famous label this weekend in Bay City! A Michigan movie made for a Michigan audience, we'd love to see you there!
Priority Waste is not contracted to take them, so I'm wondering what the options are with yard waste in general but specifically leaves. New in area from out of state. My neighbors said they dump/pile them somewhere else on their property. I'm hoping there are other better options.
Why do most Midland drivers suck ASS at driving????? I’ve lived here two years and it just keeps getting worse 😳😭
Not from the area. Need paint scratch buffed out and touched up. What's a good body shop to go to?
I only make 1200 and my mother has 800 from disability. Not emergency
Hi everyone! I just moved here a month ago from Mt. Pleasant. There was a fantastic touchless carwash attached to a shell gas station in Mt. P, I’m wondering if anyone knows of one here in Midland? When I say touchless, I mean drive thru and the machine circles your car spraying it down. TIA!
I'm in Midland with city water. Newer neighborhood, home is less than 15 years old. Our water has had a slight odor to it since last night. I noticed a strong smell when giving my toddler a bath. I would describe it as an onion smell. This morning I'm still noticing it, but not quite as strong. My wife hasn't been able to detect it all. Has anyone noticed this?
Went to Down Garden and it felt like I was in a black mirror episode😂 I’m not mad about it or anything just as someone who grew up in a very diverse metro Detroit area it was a little eerie 😂😭
After living in the area for a couple months we normally do some sort of mix of Meijer with Costco/Sam's Club. Looking for the best quality/cost ratio.
I wanted some extra cash for a computer project I’m about to start, does anyone now of any jobs 14 year olds can do?
I’m considering moving to Midland sometime in 2025, so I’m wondering when the best time to get an apartment lease is?
For example, in my current city, 90% of leases turn over in September so it’s nearly impossible to find a lease starting any other time. Is there something similar here?
Would also love apartment recs!
Thank you!
Looking for a place to practice with a backboard. Hoping for one no more than 30 minutes away. Also wondering if the tennis center has one?
Moving to Midland by the end of the year. I am familiar with the area but visiting is never the same as living. Would you share things you wish you knew before moving there?
This can be both if money doesn't matter and/or bang for the buck. New in town and looking for a steak place.
We plan on E-biking the Per Marquette Rail Trail in the upcoming weeks, and we are looking for E-bike friendly hotels to stay a few nights. Downtown Midland would be preferable, as we would like to explore the town as well. Recommendations appreciated.
I’m looking for a new iron set but don’t want to break the bank. Anyone know of where I can get a decent used iron set around here for a good price? Facebook marketplace hasn’t been great
