This one took me a couple days to put together from start to finish. I'm not one for complex leads but I felt like this one needed it in spots, so that took me a hot second to properly track.
Let me know what you guys think! Oh, and lemme know what subgenere you'd place this in, I honestly can't tell.
Thanks!
We're Wretched Knell, an oldschool death metal band spread out across Ohio. We've just released our debut EP and we want to earn a spot in the scene. If you need a band to fill a slot for a show, a live member for your set, or just need someone to come see you play live, we're there. We're centered in Ohio, but have members ranging from Indiana to Ohio to Kentucky.
Hey folks! Looking to find a metal core/hardcore band to play with. I’m a songwriter, guitarist, bassist and drummer in Oceanside. I’d love to just jam with a group sometime to see if we click. I get a good deal at a studio in Carlsbad where we can rehearse and record.
Hello, i’m 21 and i’ve always wanted to pursue making music. Tried before with drawing but it just didn’t cut it i feel like i have a massive pull towards making music instead. Problem is i have almost zero experience with instruments but i want to buy a guitar this month. Would it be realistic for me after 1 year of practicing guitar and other stuff to make an actual good sounding black metal project? I am willing but just curious how long it would take to reach a level where it wouldn’t sound horrible with at least 2 hour practice daily
Anybody have any experience using the irig live? Using the irig device to practice with a drummer but seem to lose the tone the louder i crank it.. im using my irig through a powerd speaker stereo out.
So I (21M) have been writing music solo for about 4 or 5 years now and have always wanted to start an actual band. I'm a big metal guy, like nu metal, death metal, prog, all that. I can do decent vocals and that's what I want to do. I also love drums, though I can only program them, not the best player.
We’ve gotten a few comparisons to bands like Lamb of God & Meshuggah but a blog website just said that our first single sounds like “Bay area thrash with Pantera grooves” (I’m paraphrasing).

Just wondering if you think “groove thrash” could even be a thing?
Thanks in advance if you check out the song and give us feedback.
Hey Metal Musicians! I'm a big fan of what everybody is doing and sharing on this sub. I try to purchase, subscribe, like, and listen to as much as I can. A lot of you generously offered me music for my film projects last month. So much that I couldn't begin to use it all, so I approached the station manager at a KMWV (a partner of the tv station I work at) about starting a metal show and they said yes. Now, after nearly a month of getting sidetracked, that station manager is like, "where the hell is that radio show?" Currently, I have permission from several of you to play your stuff, but only one official submission (TY H-Zoo!).
Please (I beg you) submit music to my radio show 60 Minutes of Mayhem presented by the Willamette Metal Society, broadcast from the heart of darkness, Salem Oregon on 98.3 and YT. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfshrGnUkoqdLQNn50X8Zhmq_QUt-2X2idZKgJyML21_c4BwQ/viewform?pli=1
This enterprise is solely creative and not for profit. It aims to provide listeners with programming and help promote the music and musicians featured.
Thank you to everybody I have corresponded with so far and sorry to have to lay an annoying submission form on y'all.
Edit update: I have enough music for episode one! I will post it soon along with broadcast time(s). Keep em coming for episode 2. People sent in some real face melters! I am amazed at the fantastic stuff submitted from all over the world. Heads up Kazmi and Hypersphere, you're on the show. Please let me know if you do not want to be. I tried to make a reddit account for the program but it was banned. Sorry for the inconvenience, hopefully they lift it soon.
I should have everything done this week! Yea!
I recently got a DK2 HSS Jackson Dinky with a scale length of 25.5", a Floyd Rose bridge, a black winter bridge pickup, and I want to tune to A standard. I don't have much experience setting up a guitar with a Floyd Rose. I like a lot of death metal bands like Cerebral Rot, early Amorphis, Undergang, etc.
I was wondering what string gauge you'd recommend, and if you'd recommend blocking the trem? I don't plan on doing divebombs or anything with the Floyd, and it's my first time really using/setting one up, so I've read keeping it may help stay in tune better, but blocking may be easier to work with?
Any help is appreciated!
I am a beginner in music .I don't know mixing and mastering. Especially when there is any "S" sound in your lyrics when you sing that "S" it sounds very awkward so how can I cut it off.
And where can I learn music production(no cost) from basic as a fresher
Hello fellow metalheads! Life has been busy, as I'm sure is the case for you all as well. But I'm back after a long time with a new single! It's been hard keeping true to the music, especially when I'm not doing this professionally and doing every step of the process by myself. But I finally have some good material to start working on an album or EP. For those of you who enjoy stuff like Tesseract, Mick Gordon, and VOLA, here's a track that's releasing soon you can enjoy meanwhile! Cheers! \m/
