/r/meta_me_irl
I know this has probably already been spoken about, but why doesn't r/me_irl have anything on the canvas of r/place? I feel like we should put up some sort of doggo or something
When I was born, reddit was a far simpler place.
It was all just creators and lurkers.
But it wasn't for me.
Then came the subreddit of memes.
me_irl and dankness arrived on the scene.
There were creators sitting in Hot for a post with a couple hundred up votes sitting next to reposters at the top of r/all for posting a few dank memes. I mean, work it out, mate. We're in the wrong fucking game.
Memes changed everything.
Always remember that one day this meme monkey-business will be normal.
They won't leave it to people like me when they figure out how many upvotes there are to be made: Not millions, fucking billions.
Recreational Memes plc.
Giving people what they want.
Good times today, procrastination tomorrow.
But this is now.
So, until prohibition ends, make hay while the sun shines.
I'm not a reposter.
I'm a businessman whose commodity happens to be memes. Ten years ago, a memes were for nerds or a weirdo's stress relief. It was demonized by unsubscribed readers getting bored in default subs.
Now they're my biggest clients.
Today, I only deal in kilos.
Depending which tariff you use that'll cost you either a grand in upvotes or 10 years in banned which is more time than a spammer.
C'est la vie.
It is vital that we work to a few golden rules.
Always work in a small team.
Keep a very low profile. Only deal with memes who come recommended.
It's like selling anything: Washing machines, handmade shoes, blowjobs.
As long as you don't take the piss, people will come back for more.
That's not to say we don't weave that magic that makes two posts into three but never be too greedy.
Know and respect your enemy.
It is only very, very stupid people who think the mods is stupid.
And avoid like the fucking plague loud, attention-seeking wannabe top posters in it for the glory, to be a face, to be a name on r/all.
All the crusade memes seem to have been deleted from me_irl. Where did they go? What did I miss?
What happened to the spooky skeltals and bears?
Updated with bouncer on september
their page shows they responded to me but i can't see it on me_Irl
this isn't the me irl I know
thx
It's all gone to shit, and it just keeps rising. Now it's about to hit the fan.
With Reddit on the edge of anarchy, all forms of decent users across the site combined forces to form a new subreddit, but it wasn't enough. Three rival memes now control our subreddit, me_irl. The original users are making their last stand in a highly obscure subreddit known as meta_me_irl. Readership is limited and our limited force of readers can barely keep it active.
Desperate times require desperate measures. Meta_me_irl is exploiting the work of disgraced user Unidan. His controversial upvote exploitation program is now being used to create new posters for meta_me_irl, new agents of dankness capable of unparalleled posting and upvoting. Meta_me_irl's first prototype is ready to take to the subreddit and not a moment too soon. This is war, a war on shitposting.
Welcome to meta_me_irl agent. I'm your main point of contact and the closest thing you have to a friend. I'll guide you and keep you informed of the latest trends to help you rid me_irl of its three biggest memes. Your primary objective is to remove each meme's popularity. Instagram's charismatic Dat Boi, Tumblr's autocratic Me or My Son, and Spongebob's enigmatic Fish.
Meta_me_irl intel suggests weakening each meme by locating and down voting its variants first. It's time to get out into the field agent.
As I've browsed me_irl for about a year I've noticed that memes have had shorter and shorter life cycles. What once captivated the community for weeks dwindles to days to perhaps only hours. If we continue at this rate we may be able to reach the meme event horizon in which any content that is posted exists in a quantum state of popularity and unpopularity. Meaning whatever we post both is and isn't a meme loved by millions and ignored by those same millions.
please don't say 'creep' by radiohead thanks.
fyi
the people who complain about the skeleton, fish, pupper, upvote if, etc. memes. this sub has always been like this and that's okay. its not original, its not even them_irl, but its still funny to a lot of people
if you want to leave, just leave. no need for drama
It's International Women's Day. Every special day needs to be memed. I need some International Women's Day memes.
#Pupper
Is small
Usually represented by a pug or chihuahua
Follows a facebook-style "upvote if" condition or asking for a comment containing "do x pupper"
#Doggo
Is larger
Can be any dog
Generic term for dog, doesn't have any special meme or phrase attached to it.
I'am very sorry if this is'not a good guide. It'is also testing to see if I understand the pupper and the ^^^^le doggo memes correctly. Please help me be sure of the correct usage.
just thought you guys would like to know
What if there was a me_irl where you could only post in emoji
you thought cartoon fishes were bad, watch as this spirals out of control
