My father is getting married on Saturday in a morning suit. It's his first time wearing a formal suit and he's wondering what to do with the coat when he sits down.
Do you take the coat of and hang it on the chair, or do you keep it on and flick the tail behind you before sitting, or do you sit on the tail?
Thank you for every answer.
Hi! My boyfriend's birthday is coming up and he is very hard to shop for. He appreciates nice things (especially nice clothes), but those things are often way outside my budget. He has specifically asked me not to get him clothes in the past because his style is very particular (which I totally respect), but said that accessories are okay.
I've been looking at simple jewelry pieces for men and I'd like to get him something high quality that will last, but won't be too expensive. Does anyone know of companies that might sell what I'm looking for? I'm looking for something $150 or under, but am willing to shift my budget up a bit if need be.
I have a collection of clothes that I try my best to not run through the dryer, but occasionally some slip through. For instance, I just moved into a new home and doing laundry among the stresses involved with the move, accidentally dried one of my favorite shirts and now the fit has changed entirely. Shit happens.
Does anyone have any recommendations for clothes that don’t shrink in the drier? Are there particular materials that are better than others? Brands that preshrink their fabrics?
I'm going to see an artist called Goldfish playing nu jazz/tropical house at a beach bar venu in SoCal. I was hoping for some advice/feedback on the outfit. I'm not completely set on anything other than the hat, so if you guys have better ideas for the shirt and shorts/pants please let me know! It's my birthday so I'm trying to stand out for some good photos.
Hat: Everyone in my group is wearing white goldfish themed bucket hats
Shirt: Thinking this shirt, but not sure what shorts to wear
Shoes: White Vans
Hi all - can anyone recommend a brand or specific short for casual wear and/or golf? Looking for something with belt loops rather than drawstring, ideally 6-7” inseam and with more room (I.e not slim fit). Thanks in advance!
I bought this oversized t shirt recently, I'm confused about what kind of jeans are good for this kind of t shirts. (The shirt feels more baggy to me than the above demo picture after I personally wore it). Do I need to go for straight fits or baggy fits or Slim fits? Do I need to choose chinos instead? And also what colour do I need to choose?

I have come across some promotional videos on Instagram periodically from a clothing brand called "Harold" based in Vietnam. Here is a link to their website: HAROLD (haroldclo.com) (International), Harold (Vietnam)
I have looked about a little bit but haven't found much of anything here on Reddit or Youtube, other than their own channel, regarding them.
I like some of the pieces they have for sale but the low price seems too good to be true so I am skeptical.
Does anyone have experience with them that could be so kind as to tell me what they are about?
TLDR
Harold clothes from Vietnam appears to sell nice products but I am skeptical due to low price. Little to no information from anyone other than their own videos.
Additionally what is your shoe size/height/build for reference?
Most of my trousers are around 7.25" but as I'm rebuilding my wardrobe I'm leaning towards fuller cuts. I wear a 9.5 shoe, and am 5'10" with a medium to slim build.
Hello!
Getting married in May, looking for a dress shirt for my fiancé. Can anyone point me towards dress shirt brands that have good quality control but wont blow apart our wedding budget?
Looking to spend less than $110 ish
Thanks
My outfit for a gala event I attended tonight. Suit is dark navy, almost midnight blue, from Spier and Mackay. Shirt is from Nordstrom's. Tie is a Zegna Quindici, one of my favorite pieces I own. Shoes are Grant Stone's. I think a white linen pocket square would have really elevated what is otherwise quite a simple outfit but unfortunately I didn't have one on hand nor time to buy one before the event. What do you all think?
Looks like this company is either going under or only has a few left.

Really like the Hook boot and trying to find something comparable. Any suggestions?
I don't mean things like off the shelf suits but rarer things you spent months or even longer for the seperates for, i have a sailor outfit that has taken me well nigh of a year to put together, the breton shirt, jumper (which had to be tailored), scarf, hat, and peacoat, all thrifted or bought seperately, i started wondering last night how much this must be worth, sailor outfits for men are very rare, i've seen the jumpers go for quite high prices on their own and the coat is pretty fancy.
Have you ever wondered this? if you were to sell your outfits tomorrow, what would you price them?
Hi everyone, I'm a 34 yo academic who's always dressed pretty simply. Jeans or chinos with a t-shirt or button-down has been my uniform when teaching or at conferences--and it's served me well. But in a few weeks from now I'm getting a unique chance to make a good impression outside of my regular field of work, as I was invited to speak on my topic of research at a conference with mostly C-suite level business people. The talk is much less academic than I normally do, but I was invited for my academic know-how, and therefore I would like my outfit to convey that I'm approachable yet know what I'm talking about. I'm also going to be one of the youngest ppl at the conference so I also want to appear neat and confident without making it seem forced. Dress code for the conference is 'business casual'. It was clarified to me that this means no ties, and since the conference is in California it's even a bit more casual :)
Having become more interested in menswear of late, I thought this would be a good opportunity to upgrade my wardrobe a bit and acquire some quality pieces that I can use on such occasions in the future. Would you mind giving me some guidance here?
Here's what I already own that might be relevant:
Here's what I was thinking of wearing (I need 3 days of outfits):
Any tips on these outfits or other outfit ideas?
I'm also trying to figure out some principles for creating a versatile wardrobe for this kind of occasion. For instance, which sport coat to buy--ideally it's multi-purpose as it's one of my first. What shoes to get: probably a pair of black oxfords, either in leather or suede? And how to match fabrics--if I go too far into soft wool and flannel I might be the stereotype of an academic :)
Thanks very much! Can post pictures later if need be. <3
