Hello! Been using a Lightyear version for M1 and M2 but ready to switch over to Anking. Can someone pretty please link the most updated version? Thank you in advance!
hi so i just had to get a new computer and when i downloaded anki and synched my original decks none of the media came attached to the pictures like all the image close dont show up and the images down at the bottom of the card (like pictures of first aid) dont show up either. i did subscribe to ankihub a couple of months ago to download the v12 deck but have since stopped my subscription. how do i reimport the media files onto my anki deck? please help.
It has been a while since I visited this subreddit, but I believe there was a big stack of decks that included the ones for B&B Step3! Can anyone help please?
Hi!
I have watched a TON of videos on anki, but they all sort of use different settings which is great that it is so custom. But, I want to make sure these are okay settings. I am about to begin modules aka the step studying where I will unlock the anking deck by organ system or third party and want to make sure it is all okay for that!
Would love feedback!
I heard that there was an ANKI deck for CBSE (COMP) exam. It is not the AnKing, Zanki, nor the Mnemosyne deck. If anyone has it, could you kindly share it here? Thank you!
Hi everyone,
I'm an M2 now thinking about Step 1 coming up. I was never really able to get into anki in my M1 year and still struggle to get into it (often starting with it first week or 2 of a block then falling off quickly). I learn better from questions and writing out things so that during exams, I can think back to pieces of the paper I wrote my notes on. Anki seems a lot better though for long term retention of material.
Doing all of anking would be impossible at this point. What is your take on doing the pepper deck and doing HY and Relatively HY with the UW add on as I go through questions? Thank you all!! I appreciate any opinions.
I haven't been able to find a solid answer, but are the "no\_dupes" tags found in Anking OS1/2 Step2 cards for sure do not include duplications?
If this is the case, why haven't they deleted all the dupes? Why is this tag only found in the Step 2 cards and not Step 1?
Like, what is the point of keeping the duplications and then creating a separate tag without them?Should I only do the "no_dupes" tag or all of the cards??
Thanks!

I am facing a small issue while using Anking Deck. Before I start using the deck I unsuspend cards from each topic from different subjects at once before I start . But when I am veiwing I am unable to view cards of one subject completely and then proceed to other subject. Is there a way to get cards from one subject or one tag first followed by other subject?
The easy button is giving me different intervals for new cards, sometimes it's 5 days, sometimes it's 4 or 3, is this normal??
This calculated setting jumps around for me (average is probably like 0.84), but is it relatively safe to assume that moving closer towards it should save some time on reviews? I have been sticking with 0.9, but I was considering dropping to 0.89 or 0.88 on my next deck reschedule. Not a massive change to desired retention obviously, but my hope is that it will save substantial time over the next 1.5 years of medschool. Advice/tips appreciated. <3
Hey all,
I currently go to a school that is in-house lectures/exams only. For exams, most of us use pre-made Anki decks by upperclassmen + some edits. I’m finishing up my first semester (we do 1.5 years preclinical) and will have completed basic sciences, anatomy, immunology + bugs&drugs.
I’m looking to switch over to Anking for organ blocks/path as it’s more Step-relevant. However, I’m not sure what to do about these classes I’ve already completed. Should I just keep up with my in-house Anki decks? Or is there an efficient way to transition those courses over to Anking?
I have my retention at 87% and my learning steps are 25m 1d. Should I change my retention to 0.9 and learning steps to 25m since FSRS says 1d is not recommended?
Are you always sitting at your desk with your resources out for reference? Do you ever just set it to due cards and go through the easier cards while the tv is on in the background?
I usually try to break it up to multiple sessions a day, doing 200-300 due cards from previous blocks in the morning while eating breakfast before class, then lock in and hit 400-600 cards from my current block prioritizing the learning cards and digging into content as needed, then will usually end the night on the couch and just do the remaining 300-400 while half watching sports or whatever.
Just trying to get a sense of how everyone else incorporates anki into their daily routine
Hi everyone. I'm Calum, and I'm final year medical student in the UK. I'm really passionate about helping develop the knowledge and theoretical principles that underlie high quality medical practice. With that in mind, for the past few years I’ve been working on an Anki deck reflecting the breadth and depth of the UK undergraduate medical education, aligned to the MLA content map.
It’s gotten to the point where I’m happy to release some of the (work in progress!) deck.
The cards are all tagged by conditions under each Area of Clinical Practice of the MLA content map. Cards should cover all of the key preclinical knowledge in addition to the clinical features, investigation and management of conditions covered. Cards follow a short question and answer format, with tables, diagrams and explanations on the back of the card to aid formation of links between topics and ideas.
So far I am releasing Acute and Emergency, Cardiovascular, Dermatology, GI, Mental Health, Renal/Urology and Respiratory as a trial run as these are the most complete and comprehensive decks. I have the majority of the remaining areas of clinical practice in the works, nearing completion.
I’ve mostly used the Passmed textbook, Pulsenotes, Amboss and NICE CKS as sources. The aim is to update the cards (semi-)regularly as NICE guidance changes, though as I'm sure you can appreciate, this is quite a time-consuming process.
I’m ideally looking for people who are willing to try the cards, and provide some feedback/comments on the deck - links are at the bottom of each card. This really helps both from a future planning perspective on releases and features but also to get some evidence of how the deck can help.
In the link there’s a quick start video to show how to use as well as a PDF manual on getting started with the deck for the very keen…
If you do find the cards useful (or if you don't...) please fill in the feedback forms and I can get the rest of the areas of clinical practice completed and ready to release - stay tuned!
Thanks!

Title. New comprehensive deck that I used to become a certified interpreter with tagging system (organized by yield, context, and specialty), unique note type (gives context and explanations for some cards), and regional variation accounted for in deck. Finally caught a break in M1 to share, lol. Have been developing over the past few years as a passion project with my wife.
Link is to guide which contains the download link. Enjoy!

Hi, Im trying out the AMBOSS free-trial and wanted to test the anki integration before making a purchase, I downloaded the add-on but no flashcards appear on anki so I could start answering.
Hello guys, I am confusing between keep doing anking with switching to Mnemosyne because I am running out of time (only 30 days left). At this moment, I felt anking too over-whelming and my friend advice me to learn with Mnemosyne. What is the pros and cons of this option? Will this choice affect my test score (Uworld or NBME)? Thank you for your comments.
I am using Anking for my med school, when I finish a certain exam, should I suspend related Anking cards or just keep reviewng them for step 1 in the future? (I will definitely suspened in house lectures cards that I made myself)
How effective is this? Will I really retain all the information (from Anking) after, let's say, a month or two?
Hey, so I've been confused about this for a while and can't find any answers on Reddit or anywhere else so I thought I'd ask here. When I unsuspend cards within a specific tag in Anking Step 1 (e.g. First Aid > Immunology) the cards end up in the "Anking Overhaul for Step 1 & 2" as opposed to the "Step 1" subdeck within it. Is this normal, and should I manually move the Step 1 cards to the Step 1 subdeck? Thanks in advance for any advice :)
I hadn't used my laptop in a bit, and when I logged on to use anki recently, noticed that the contanki add on was missing. I went ahead and reinstalled it from the Ankiweb addon page, and setup my 8bitdo micro with the button configuration I liked. Everything works as intended, except the page scrolls slowly upwards for some reason. I am able to scroll down manually using the controller, mouse wheel, or trackpad, but the page continually scrolls back up until it gets to the top.
I tried connecting a few other controllers (8bitdo zero 2, ds4) and they all had the same problem. I did not have this problem in the past with whatever version of contanki I was using, so this seems to be a problem with the newer version of the software. This issue only occurs when the controller is connected, and the cards work fine if there is no controller connected.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to deal with this problem?
Hello I'm a biology major and I'm wanting to get a head start on mcat studying and was curious if aniki is free and are there pre made decks to learn on the program on pc as there is on the aniki pro app?
Thank you
Hey everyone, US M1 here trying to use the Anking deck and third-party resources more now when studying for my preclinical exams -- thank you to Anking for everything he's shared on his youtube! I've attempted to copy his recommended settings -- but I feel like the 25 minutes seems forever to see a card again and I end up having to again the card a lot (as opposed to the default 1m 10m 1d). Is this normal? Should I give it some time to get used to? I also set the maximum interval at 36500 as he recommended if that is still the suggestion? Thank you!
I want to do cards while listening during a walk for example using a controller (8bitdo zero/micro). I found the TTS option in the ankidroid app but it reads everything even the tags. How can I make it read just the answer and the question and maybe the Extra field? and If you have a better way to do the thing I want to do, please share it. Thanks.
