We all know Sapwood is the king of MD, but the Fidens collabs are next level
We have a few tickets left for our BMore Brew Crew Christmas Crawl this Saturday (12/14) benefiting Toys for Tots. The party starts at Das Bierhalle in Bel Air at 12:30 where we will be taking part in their Santa Con celebration and enjoying our first beer of the crawl and enjoying other food and drink specials.
At 2:00 we will board our party bus as we take the Holiday show on the road up to Hopkins Farm Brewery in Historic Havre De Grace, MD. The first pour of anything on the tap list is included in the cost of the Crawl, and you are encouraged to sample some of their award-winning beers!
At 3:45 we will hop back on our Christmas Caravan and head over to beautiful Slate Farm Brewery down the road in Whiteford, MD to take part in their Christmas festivities. As always, the cost of the first beer is included in the price of the crawl.
At 5:15 we will make our way to our third stop, Double Groove Brewing in Bel Air! With a fabulous selection of highly reviewed beers and an Ugly Sweater Christmas Party in full effect, Double Groove is gonna be a blast. The first beer is included in the cost of the Crawl!
At 6:45 we'll head back to Das BierHalle in Bel Air where the party continues all night long with additional food and drink specials just for Christmas Crawl attendees. Cost is $57 and the price includes a beer at all 4 stops with proceeds going to Toys for Tots. Check out the link below for more info.

I know Maryland doesn’t allow out of state breweries to ship to us and I am in a few Facebook groups that do trading where people will ship beer through the mail. Is it technically illegal for me to receive beer that someone’s shipping to me? These groups are pretty active so it’s obviously happening a lot, but I can be a straight edge (for lack of a better term) so will default to the worst case outcome in scenarios like this. Thanks!
Post what you find. Here are the ones I know of.

Just wanted to bring attention to a really cool local group of folks that have a passion for our local scene, as well as a love for the Outdoors.

If anyone is planning on attending the 2024 Kennedy Krieger Festival of Trees next Friday through Sunday, be sure to check out our 'Hoppy Holidays from the MD Craft Beer Community' tree that my group sponsored. There will be over $500 in gift cards and goodies from many of our favorite local spots included with the tree, for whomever purchases it. The tree will be decorated with cans I have been procuring from breweries all over the state including RAR, Black Flag, Heavy Seas, Pherm, Sapwood Cellars, M8, Checkerspot, Pickett, Hopkins Farm, Slate Farm, Big Truck and many more, just to name a few. I did it to help raise awareness for so many of the amazing spots we have around town that people who aren't part of our community don't know about. Plus all the money raised will go to Kennedy Krieger, so stopping by to see the tree will be for a good cause. I hope y'all think its cool. Hoppy Holidays everyone! Peace :)
For a few years I have heard rumors about a brewery being planned for this area. A few people I know in the area say it has been mentioned in HOA newsletters, etc.
Does anyone know if this is still being planned? I haven’t seen any construction or heard any concrete details.
Asking only because I would be excited to have a brewery in this area!
Does anyone know where I can buy in MoCo their beers? In Rockville and would love to find somewhere that carries their stuff.
Who's all going this Saturday? What are your thoughts on the new venue?
I recently took a trip to Tuscan, AZ, and spent some time in two excellent bottle shop/taproom hybrids. I share my thoughts in BOTTLE SHOPS: THE TUCSON MODEL. Let me know what you think. That got me thinking about MD bottle shops. Who does craft beer right? If you like, share your opinion at my Deep Beer Journal.
Has anyone seen cans of Pilsner Urquell or Czechvar in md? im in the howard/arundel county area. Are there any similar local beers I can get on draft? I seem to like Czech pilsners.
Newish to the beer world coming from the spirits realm :)
Any new beer released recently I should definitely try? Open to all styles. 🍻
We'd like to give lots of thanks to the Harbor Marketing Agency, for inviting us on their podcast. This agency is doing such great deeds for the industry, lending a voice to help support and give a voice to distillers, vineyards, and breweries. https://youtu.be/K-bGLacKALg?feature=shared
Can anyone tell me what happened to Landmade Brewing? Have they closed permanently, renovations, etc. Thanks!

Just came across this info:
Key Brewing Company & Monument City Brewing Create Strategic Partnership.
Iconic Baltimore-based breweries, Key Brewing Company and Monument City Brewing, are forming a strategic partnership that will create a unified Baltimore brewing platform while maintaining independent and separate brands and product lines. Key Brewing will move production to Monument City’s 1 N. Haven Street location in Highlandtown. Key Brewing’s taproom located on Grays Road in Dundalk will remain open through the end of October. “We’re brewing something big for Baltimore and we’re stronger together,” said Ray Schissler, partner of Key Brewing. “For 10 years, we’ve called Dundalk home and our relationships with Eastern Baltimore County’s vibrant communities will continue. The majority of our customers will not notice any changes and we hope our regular taproom customers find their way to our new taps at 1 N. Haven Street. It’s an exciting and changing time for breweries not only in Maryland, but around the country. The key to thriving for us is innovating and building our customer base and this partnership is an incredible opportunity for both of our companies.”Both Key Brewing and Monument City Brewing have been crafting beers in Baltimore for more than a decade. Customers will continue to find their favorite beers at local stores, restaurants, music venues and stadiums. “The craft beer industry has seen some significant changes over the past four years. As independent breweries, we need to be creative, evolve and meet the needs of our customers and communities,” said Ken Praay, founder and CEO, Monument City Brewing. “This strategic partnership of two strong and seasoned brands not only will allow our companies to take advantage of production efficiencies and shared resources, but we’re stronger together and will have the opportunity to expand our product lines, innovate new products and serve our community for years to come.” The strategic partnership will not result in any job losses and will create future employment opportunities. For more information, visit their websites: Key Brewing or Monument City Brewing.
