I know this may be stupid to others, but i made me manager aware of this before i was hired. I take care of my brother alot, and my store just gave me another day, that being Thursday. on top of that i have a feeling its because theyre going to schedule me for thanksgiving, i just wanted my first thanksgiving with my family in 2 years! i already know im working Christmas because its on a day im normally scheduled, even if i wanted to request off each time i ask someone to show me where the book is they say they’re too busy. my work also now instantly fires without a doctors note even if you just call off one day, so just calling out isn’t an option and i wouldn’t do that anyways.

(sorry for the long paragraph, i just feel angry about it atm) i genuinely have no idea why i got fired, as i never got any complaints from crew members or managers while i was working there, or made a worker/manager mad at me for any reason (btw, i only had the job for a month). i also had no time to adapt to the environment as i wasn’t even getting 10 hrs a week. im assuming its because the mcdonalds is overstaffed, but the email sent to me also said there were many things they noticed of me that were “outside of the norm” or subpar. i got hired at another mcdonalds and start soon, but i sort of wanna know what i did wrong to avoid getting fired again, even if its just nitpicking because my manager was a bitch and took the job WAY too seriously.

1.5 month working here, and till now I've rarely faced customers that are straight up cunts. Last night, this guy comes in with his girlfriend, on DT, I took his order with no problems, he drives round, then as I'm done taking the next order, and the guy's paying, I see him tell my coworker on cash that he shouldn't be working here and as he's about to drive off, he points to me and says something along the lines of "you as well". I swear the guy who was on cash is the nicest guy ever, his English is not the best, so there might've been a communication gap between them, but I really don't get why you'd say stuff like that, I'd like to say he was racist but all 4 of us (including his gf) are ethnic minorities. The only explanation I have is him trying to act tough in front of his girlfriend (which is the vibe I got on headset as well, like he was trynna act I'm too cool for this shit ordering food at McDonald's, then why tf are you even here?).

Just wanted to rant here really, how often do you get customers like this? It didn't affect me much personally, but still its shit that I have to deal with this.

Here is the thing I copied the schedule last week when they post it and took a picture of it and said I’m off on Friday then today the manager told me I’m supposed to work yesterday and didn’t show up I show him the picture I took and showed me the new schedule that I’m scheduled to work so can I get one trouble for it I’m on probation cause just started Oct 31

So I know how to cook all the grill stuff but I'm still struggling when I should cook the trays, I've been told times that the person putting the food together will yell out how many trays she needs but they keep forgetting I can't speak Spanish and tbh they ignore me tbh lol. I get it can be frustrating but I can't learn or know how to do anything if no one is willing to talk to me. It's my 2nd day and I'm already stressed cuz I feel like im just bothering them lmao

I recently was hired at mcdonalds part time in CA they have a ton of staff way more than is needed and are only working me about 4 hours my first week and 3 hours the next week and this week i got absolutely no hours. When i called to find out why i wasn’t scheduled they said they couldn’t tell me and that the manager would have to call me back. And yet they never did its been 3 days now. Have i been fired? Is there anything i can do?

Hi guys, I just finished my interview 1 week ago and they sent me an email asking me to send a passport photo I sent it to them and waiting for their response and it’s been a week I haven't gotten any response from them. I just called them to talk about this issue and they said they would let the manager know and it's been 3 days. Did they actually forget me lol😭? What should i do now? many thanks

A customer last night threw a fit because I wouldn't take back a drink he bought in the morning. He had come back late in the afternoon with no receipt. He decided to toss his Latte towards our side door. Normally, I'd just let it go after rinsing this out with a bucket. The thing is this customer is one of our more problematic ones. The entire thing was caught on camera along with his license plate. I have everything needed to identify him to the police and he could get a fine. The question is, is it worth it. I'd like to clarify that I'd be calling the Non-Emergency line.

I’ve just logged into my stuff for the first time and when I’ve put my password and username in it comes up with this screen. It’s blank with it saying false access denied. Have I done something wrong?

Last night I was working a 9 hour shift, and about a half hour before I was supposed to leave, my manager asked me to clean lobby. No big deal, easy peasy. Except, there was about 6 middle school (maybe high school?) boys hanging out in the lobby, bothering me every two minutes to cash them out, and they just left their stuff all over the lobby. They literally had gym bags and cleats in multiple booths, and they weren’t sitting at any of them. Thankfully when i asked them to kinda compress their mess they did, but they were fr taking up half of the sitting area, and the only other spots available for the rest of the customers was by the bathrooms. Also because of their cleats just sitting around, the entire lobby smelled like feet.
