Hello there, fellow Mass Effect fans, and MShepley fans in particular. I’ve finished a Mass Effect 2 fic a few days ago, and thought I’d share it here in an attempt to shamelessly promote my own work: “Investigating Shepard” is a T-rated, canon divergent AU fic. It's 301k words/42 chapters long, and most of the story is told from Ashley's POV.

A quick summary of the plot: Ashley seeks to join the Normandy a few weeks after her encounter with Shepard on Horizon, because the Alliance has given her an undercover mission: To collect intel about Cerberus, and to find out more about this man who claims to be Commander Shepard. She also has a personal agenda; John and she had once loved each other. Will this opportunity allow her to rekindle her relationship with him?

Both are suspense thrillers and one-shot short stories, kind of in the vien of the Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits and Love, Death & Robots. They're meant to be spooky in the psychological sense but don't have extreme gore or anything trigger-y.

So Basically a world where Shadowrun Metahumanity discover the Prothean ruins (which date back even before the "first world" time period world have been) and the turians are facing war with Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Trolls, the variants and changelings of them, and DRAGONS, not to mention Metahumanity has Magic, AIs, and Technomancers to throw into the mix upon meeting the Council races.

Then you also have the Dragons and Immortal Elves pushing for a dealing with the Reapers before the Horrors really have a chance to return (Horror corruption mixed with Reaper Indoctrination just sounds horrifying).

As a possible furtherance of lore: Shadowrun is originally the future of the setting for Earthdawn (it being the fourth world to shadowrun's sixth) and the system of Equinox I recently learned got it's start/initial inspiration as being intended to be a far future Eighth World (so it would be set somewhere in the 12,000s to 17,000CE time period, well beyond the Mass Effect timeline, but it may have background/historical lore that could be used- I haven't looked at Equinox to know whether it has anything that can be brought in or not).

What would a Meta-Human Systems Alliance look like in a Mass Effect setting? Would there be a Meta-human Systems Alliance, or would it be a Megacorp Systems Alliance, and where does the Corporate Court come into play once metahumanity really has off world colonies and extra-solar colonies? How would the Council react to Meta-humanity: five vastly different sub-species of a singular race, and that's not even taking Dragons into account. How do Biotics fit in with regard to Magicals, and technomancers, and cyber-modified individuals? Could an Adept act as a Biotic Vanguard, or what if an adept was a Biotic? Or what about Eezo-Mages how would that look?

It was active until around 2017 or 18 I think, on fanfiction.net. I remember the SI had a prosthetic arm and two versions of Shepard called Iron and Hero became AI‘s living in his head. It had an ME2 sequel where the SI ended up in a relationship with Kasumi.

Hey!, I'm looking for some FemShep x Liara fics, it's my favorite couple in ME, it doesn't matter if are fanfics that follow the game story or it's an AU :)

Nightwind and its followup 257 Years Of Unanswered Correspondence With An Ardat-Yakshi Monastery are an excellent pair of fics focusing on one of the darker aspects of asari society and I just want to push them a little bit. For fans of drama, suspense and the good old Star Trek tradition of exploring real social issues through the medium of blue space women.

So in the event that Dragon Age: Veilguard flunks out and Mass Effect 5 is pushed back, I have been wondering if there any Mass Effect fics with the following plot points:

• The Batarian race doesn't exist and as a result there is no Skyllian Blitz, and Shepherd's only psychological profile is as the Sole Survivor.
• The Blood Pack and Blue Suns do not exist, but the Eclipse and Talons would still exist with the former being the most powerful.
• Instead of Saren, the Reapers use the Collectors to try and get access the relay on the Citadel. They align themselves with the Geth and Benezia and they abduct half of the Eden Prime Colonists and all of the colonists on Feros. Which in turn results in a decrease in colonial investors for future colonies and an increase in support for the Terra Firma party.
• Also Saren is a protagonist and more of a mentor figure to a female Shepard and has been investigating the Reapers ever since his brother died because of their influence.
• Shepard and Saren recruit Wrex and Tali, but not Garrus.
• The Citadel Council is saved, and after the battle, the Council is convinced that the Reaper threat is real. And they decide to take a more proactive stance about it.
• They send Shepard and Saren's team back to Ilos and discover the Crucible and its potential to destroy the Reapers. However, they decide to keep the existence of it and the Reapers on the down low to avoid setting off a mass panic throughout the galaxy.
• Due to the rise of xenophobia and Terra Firma in the Alliance, the Council also decides to exclude them from the project to build the Crucible. Instead they try to compensate for this by approaching the Migrant Fleet, but their attempts to do so reveal that the Quarians have made a treaty with the alliance that has been brokered by Cerberus. Tali objects to this which results in her being exiled by her own father and the rest of the Admiralty.
• The new Alliance Prime Minister tries to recall Shepard, their Shepard's crew, and the Normandy but during Anderson's brief tenure as the new Councilor he manages to pull a few string to get them all on the newly formed Citadel Defense Force.
• Despite Saren's objections the Council decides to appoint him as the military leader of the Crucible project, putting him in charge of various squads and military forces that have been assigned to the project with the purpose of protecting the project, acquiring new artifacts and resources from hostiles, and stopping any and all Reaper operations. Meanwhile Matriach Aethya is placed in charge of the civilian side of the project recruiting new personnel to the project and negotiating with entities inside and outside of Citadel Space (Shadow Broker, the Illium Gang of Five, and the Omega Corporation) for their support.
• During Shepard's adventures they strike up a romance with another squad leader named Garrus Vakarian.
• When the Reaper's arrive Sur'Kesh becomes ground zero, when it is revealed that the Salarian have been studying a reaper corpse in order to unlock the knowledge of past civilizations the Reapers have amassed over the millenniums.
• Before the Crucible is activated its revealed that the Leviathans are the true architects of the device. They have been influencing other races to work on the device for years in the hopes of using it to regain control over the Reapers. Saren manages to pull a heroic sacrifice foiling their plans resulting in the Reapers and their husk mooks getting destroyed.

A) Tali dying in 2 when the Normandy crew investigate the Alarei only to find the Quarians have been experimenting on both Humans and Geth. They've been giving the Humans, mostly children and young adults, drugs to amplify their pain as the Quarians forcibly remove their limbs, eyes, and chunks of their brains, and replace them with cybernetics. Tali would turn on the team, and Garrus would be forced to kill her, leaving himself as a widower and their daughter without her mother. On the other hand, I guess Shepard could kill her when Garrus hesitates too long. She takes the shot, and the shot from Tali that would've killed him instead gives him the scars he got from a missile in the original timeline.

B) Tali dies in 3 destroying an Asari Dreadnought loaded with a version of the Genophage tailored to Humans before it can deploy the virus on either a major Human colony or Earth itself. This would also result in the final defeat of Red Claw, which is basically a multi-species coalition dedicated to the enslavement or extermination of Humanity.

There's no one there anymore.

Humanity has died off from a disease(COVID).

The Abyssal Princesses call a meeting. They discuss what they found, and ask an important question "What now?". They ask the Abyss, and it emanates a feeling of 'Ummm, I dunno.'.

They decide to just take over the world. Easy, since there's no one to oppose them. They settle in and start learning human science, technology, art, history, culture, everything.

Eventually, they build colony domes on the moon. And then Mars. And it is here that they discover something.

They have discovered Element Zero. And eventually Charon's Mass Relay. And now they go to the stars.

And thus begins "Abyssal Effect".

So... Should I bother writing this? Would anyone read it if I do?

I am thinking of writing a ME x BSG ( 2003 ) Crossover, what do you guys think? I plan to instead have the Colonies and the Alliance, and in extension the Citadel fight a war, either that or Colonial-citadel contact, without the systems alliance. What do you guys think? Which one should I do?

I like to ponder how the events of Mass Effect would play out if the system alliance went through a different technological development from the rest of the Milky Way species. In this case we're using Halo as a basis primarily borrowing technology they will also borrow certain characters as well as things like the Spartan program because it wouldn't be a crossover without that.

For space firing technology instead of relying on the mass relays the the slip space drive is invented by William Fujikawa, and Tobias Fleming.

A decade before the prothan ruins were discovered on Mars. Leading to the system alliance beginning it's galactic expansion utilizing slip space travel. element zero would still end up being the power source for the slip space drives.

The alliance will also begin developing artificial intelligence, of course the knowledge of their artificial intelligence is would be kept under wraps when dealing with the council they would just say that they're an extremely advanced VI system.

Spartan program is created to be one step above the N7, initially taking volunteers who were considered the best of the best, one of the notable Spartans of the first contact war was lieutenant David Anderson.

The first contact war breaks out due to a misunderstanding the turians thought the humans were trying to activate relay 314, when the alliance just happened to be passing through that sector of space onto a different destination.

The war would pretty much play out the same, this time with Spartans thrown into the mix.

During the postwar period from 2157-2183 the Spartans primary role would be to protect colonies particularly against batarian attacks.

The Spartans program would also begin working with the shadowy organization known as Cerberus, with the goal of creating the ultimate human biotic Spartan (Jack).

Shepard origin for how they end up in the Spartan program could vary.

• Earthborn orphan Shepard could have just been grabbed one day and taken to a facility.
• Colonist Shepard was rescued by the Spartans when the batarians sacked their colony.
• Spacer Shepard would Join the Spartan program, after whatever major event happens in their history.

I decided to get the non spacer origins would have a starting advantage of how they end up in the Spartan program earlier then the spacer, since the other two origins aren't tied to the military to begin with.

The latest smutty thing that game out of my head was a vision of Shepard returning to Mindoir after the first game. A bit of Yellowstone feel when he sees his former home turned into a thriving ranch. He makes friends with the owners who treat him a bit like a son. They call him John, which no one else but Liara does.

Anyway this story is way after all of that which needs to be written and expanded and included into my longer fics.

But with most fanfics I write, this was started with a vision for a smutty scene.

This scene takes place at the end of the first "act". They've raised her as their own and have been a very happy family. But they're getting on in years, and know she'll long outlive them. They've been searching space, and found other Saiyan survivors of the extinction event. She's a young teenager now. They've repaired the Attack Ball she arrived in and would like to send her off, and spare her watching them die (and really a lifetime of losing friends and family over and over again, should she stay - Saiyan lifespans are quite a bit longer than even humans, let alone Salarians).

Hi everyone,

I've been writing this series on/off since LE was spoiled, and the first two books have been done for over a year. I hit a major case of writer's block after I posted the first five or so chapters for book 3, and I didn't write for over a year. Now, I'm coming back, and I have started re-writing book 3.

Since I took such an extended break, I lost my beta reader, so I'm looking for a new one. I will also not post any of this until it's 100%, so I cannot get feedback as I go.

This is the series if anyone is interested. Since it is a series, I'd need someone who has read the first two or at least understands the overarching storyline.

It was a first contact war fic were mlp took the place of the Humans, I remember the Pegasi creating a massive continant spanning storm to prevent the Turians from being to scan the planet from their ships, and at the end the main pony character became an alicorn.

Does anyone have fics that show the happily ever after? It could be exclusively post reaper war or pre trilogy to postwar. Any pairing is fine though I’d prefer Garrus or Liara.

More specifically, Tali would get lost at the start of her Pilgrimage, and manages to find her way to Rannoch somehow (this would imply in whatever fic it is that her sense of direction is so bad it confused the ships map)

from there, she would be discovered by the Geth, and Tali would have no idea how to react to finding herself in Geth space, let alone Rannoch

if there isnt a fic like this, i hope someone makes one! it would be interesting to see how Tali interacts with the Geth before even meeting Shepard, and maybe she can learn about the Morning War in the process

I’ve read Rob Sears’ stories on fanfiction.net, and man they ruined my expectations for other fics.

Have any of y’all found fics similar to The Quantum Error? Best I could describe them would be “guy gets reincarnated to the Mass Effect universe and finds love after a series of events”

It turns out, after finally playing the Legendary Edition, I can confirm that the end of Mass Effect 3 still burns my soul the same as it did in 2012. This series, 'After', is my attempt at squaring away my Shepard's story after being left in limbo for over a decade.

This entry is the first chapter in a three part series of my Commander Shepard. The narrative structure is multiple POVs that show the in-between or off screen moments that were not captured during regular gameplay. Parts 1 and 2 will cover the trilogy, with Part 3 being the story after ME3 ends. No crossovers, no major AU, no drastic departures from the ME series until part 3.

Mostly congruent with the main storyline, however liberties are taken with the plotlines at times. The story assumes the reader knows the plot of Mass Effect fairly well.

hi! I read a fic a few months ago on AO3 and I haven’t been able to find it since. It was explicit (though I don’t know if it was tagged as such), based around strip poker. Notable characters were female Shepard, Garrus, Joker, Vega, Adrien Victus, Wrex, Cortez, and Samantha Traynor. I can’t remember anything about the tags and I’ve read through so many descriptions trying to find it.
