I’m looking at a 2018 QP SQ4 Granlusso and I really like the car and the situation. But, I noticed when driving it around, there’s a really specific quirk. When you press the gas pedal, once you get up to 20+ish mph and onwards, I hear a strange noise coming from the drivers side floorboard by my left foot. I’m in America so wheel is on the left side. The noise only happens when you press the gas pedal. It stops as soon as you let off of it. It starts when you press it and remains continuous at all times while it’s pressed. The thing is I don’t even know how to describe the noise. It’s kind of like a… buzzing.. I don’t want to say grinding (not metal on metal.) Not squealing or anything. Just like a vibration or rattle. Kind of like a playing card stuck in your bicycle wheel spokes. I’ve googled this heavily but it seems like it could be so many things. According to the guy I’m buying her from, 2 shops looked at it today and they think it’s normal. Not a problem. I’ve driven several of these recently and never noticed anything like this. Any ideas what could be wrong with the car? Am I tripping and overlooking a huge issue because I’m love drunk for it? Or am I tripping because I’m terrified of buying this car and the engine falling out? Please help.
How do you know if it is time for a minor or major service? I picked up a 2013 GT in August. 42k miles. I’m at a little over 45k miles now. Yesterday I started getting notices to schedule a service with in 28 days. With the mileage and age I think it could go either way.
I’m several hundred miles from a dealership and fully capable and equipped to do them myself. Just unsure of which to do.
It’s so bad that sometimes pulling away from traffic lights I can put my foot flat to the floor and there is no increase in engine revs. I have to take my foot off the throttle and slowly put it down to build the revs up first and then it’s fine. This seems strange to me. Any ideas?
Been searching awhile for a Gran Tourisimo. It seems every car over 2 years old has multiple owners. 6k miles and 2 owners?? What am I missing that people are changing their minds? It's a beautiful car.
I am the proud owner of a Granturismo Sport. What was your next car to add to the collection? I'm thinking of adding something light, manual trans, and topless.
Daily driver - went 20.000 km in 5 months with it. Drove it from Germany trough Italy, Hungary, the alps,.. and never had a single issue. Best car I ever had :-)
I have a 2013 Granturismo. After swinging it in a mall parking lot (yes, I’m aware it was not smart…but it was fun) I am now having power steering issues. At low speed it’s nonexistent. Once the car gets going it all comes back fine. The fluid level is good and there are no leaks coming from the car. Can anyone help me figure this one out?
Any idea how to get the mirrors to fold when I lock the doors??? I noticed that it just won’t fold anymore. Any suggestions??? 2018 Ghibli S Q4
Recently got a Levante Diesel (2017) and I've noticed a constant weird high frequency noice.
What does it sound like: A very high frequency noise, just like those fox-repellant alarms or a CRT television.
How often does it occur: As soon as I get in the car, before even starting the engine. Still noticeable while driving and doesn't stop until I turn the engine off and open a door.
Location of noise: Hard to determine. Equally as loud throughout the car.
I have a 2015 Maserati GranTurismo and am wondering which is louder, has better quality sound, and which produces more horsepower. Looking for advice.
has anybody changed the belts on their own? what’s a fair price for labor ?
Hey y’all. I have a 2020 55tfsie q7 with 70k kms & I’m being offered to change it for a 350hp 2020 levante with 48k kms.
I am very tempted because I loooove the way maserati sounds & I really don’t need the space of a q7 at all. However my q7 is pretty loaded & has all the cameras & drivers assistance, bose speakers… that the levante does not have (it’s a pretty basic one) so it has me hesitating if I will actually miss all these fancy features or I will just not care once I get the levante.
Also to be added that the breakes on my audi do the most horrible squeaky noise that drives me crazy. Thats the reason why I am considering giving it up in the first place. Not concerned about gas mileage since my q7 also is horrible in this aspect.
I live in spain which it’s pretty cheap for car repairs compared to the us & I really haven’t heard bad things about levantes over here…
I don’t know please help me make up my mind🙏🏼
SQ4 is FUN before it breaks 😂!
Hey everyone,
I’m in the market for a new family car, which will be our main vehicle. Currently, we own a 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA 180, which we’ve enjoyed over the past 3.5 years. However, it’s time to replace it before the mileage gets too high.
I wasn’t initially considering a Maserati, but I recently came across a single-owner 2023 Maserati Grecale GT that caught my eye. Here are the details:
• Price: $100K (originally $159K when new)
• Mileage: 7,500 miles
• Warranty: 5 months remaining
• Condition: The engine check light is on, but I haven’t taken it for a test drive yet.
What drew me to it was the design, interior space, and overall luxury feel. However, I noticed that the infotainment system seemed laggy and not as refined compared to what I’m used to with Mercedes.
I’d really appreciate some advice from the Maserati community:
1. What should I be looking for if I decide to take it for a test drive?
2. Are there any known issues or red flags with the Grecale GT that I should be aware of?
3. How does it compare as a daily family car, especially in terms of reliability and maintenance costs?
Thanks in advance for any insights!
Any Maserati owners in NJ/NY/PA?
So here is what is going on with my 2019 Levante GTS. My car had no real issues up to about 55,000 miles. From then on there have been several little corks and tedious items that have needed to be repaired. All have been costly repairs. What is going on now is it sounds like the engine is idling at a high RPM, when it is actually only idling at around 5 to 600 RPMs. When you turn the car off, there is a fan that stays on and puts out a very high force of air. This fan will sometimes only stay on for 5 to 10 seconds but sometimes it may stay on for as long as 30 to 45 seconds. This has never happened before in all the time that I have owned this car. The reason for my question is, if this situation happens continuously over several days, the check engine light will illuminate. The check engine light remains solid on the dash until the car has been started and stopped about four times and then it will disappear. It may not come back on again for a week or it may come back on in a couple days. It just depends. The second video although I have merged both videos into one starts at about 14 1/2 seconds in. It shows that this fan will not cut off until the vent behind the grill closes and again the timing of this vent closing varies every time I turn the car off. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated as I am kind of getting tired of all of these 3 and $4000 repair bills.
Hey all this should be a universal fix for all modern Maserati models I have a 2019 ghibli gran lusso but if you ever plug your phone in and car play doesn’t show up, I seem to have found a fix that works every time. Go to your settings in the MTC + icon click display, scroll down to clear personal data or something along those lines. Hit it click yes wait about 20 seconds the infotainment system will turn off and fully reset as if the car just was turned on and it should work. Let me know if this works for you :)
(2015 Maserati Ghibli) I went out to my garage to run the car for a little bit. When I first got out the first thing I noticed was the ding of the car sounded different like it was struggling, The horn sounds like a dying cow and when i tried to start my car it tried to crank but failed to start. This is a battery issue right? I have a trickle charger that I could attempt to charge the battery with. What should I do???
I thought somebody had to know what’s going on
I'm loving my used (New to me) 2019 Levante GranSport! We live in the Bahamas and my husband always does our scheduled maintenance at home for all the vehicles we've owned over the past 25 years. We can't figure out what computer (or procedures to do) to buy to reset the maintenance light on this car though; and there is no dealer here. Please help if you have any tips!
