Hi friends. I have used almay clear complexion naked 300 liquid foundation with "light" clear complexion pressed powder for a million years. They changed the formula on the liquid foundation and added aloe. The color is completely different and I don't know what to do. Anyone else use those shades and recommend what brand/shade to switch to?
I lost a good chunk of my eyebrow as a kid. As a result the scar is somewhat tricky to work with, it’s smooth and often doesn’t hold product for very long. I would prefer something not too heavy as I’m not always a full face girly. It also doesn’t help my eyebrows are nearly black. Any advice or recommended products?
I have been dealing with this for years and am at a loss.
Products I’ve tried: nyx brow pen, nyx brow glue, elf brow pomade, elf brow laminating gel.
I have been tying for years to get my eyeliner to look nice. My left eye always looks soo good but my right always looks a mess. I can never get them to match, its like my right side is impossible to do. How can i fix this?
So long story short I’ve never worn makeup besides some mascara and lipstick, stuff like that. I have no idea where to start and what to get, foundation powder what type of brushes … it’s a bit overwhelming for me. If you could give me any sort of tips or a breakdown of what I should get … I’d be eternally grateful 🩵

Alright, fellow makeup lovers, I need your help! I’m obsessed with makeup and want to turn it into a real career—but without dropping a fortune on expensive academies. I’m looking for solid, budget-friendly makeup courses (₹20K-₹30K) in Mumbai that actually teach media-level skills, not just basic bridal looks.
I want to learn editorial, film, TV, or creative makeup—something that helps me start earning as a freelancer or assistant ASAP. Any hidden gems? Affordable but high-quality places where I won’t regret spending my money? Also, if you’ve taken a course, how was your experience? Spill the tea!

What’s the best starting makeup to buy on a budget. Like what would be the best few things to start with?
I’m a recently turned 35 year old who doesn’t know anything about skin care. I bought all this stuff at Marshall’s and in the past 15 years, I’ve been lucky if I use a makeup wipe, otherwise I’m usually just showering my makeup off. I have slept with it on for years, due to one too many long nights, but am changing my habits this 2025. My skin is far from perfect, with the occasional big zit here and there, but mostly just blemishes, splotchy skin, and old acne scars that I hide decently well with make up. However, I’m trying to prevent any wrinkles the best I can, and it’d be great if some of this stuff could tone down the redness or scarring from years prior.
I also bought some South Korean eye cream as well, and the snail 92 all in one cream, that I started using about 2 weeks ago as just regular face lotion but not sure if that’s even what it’s supposed to be used for haha.
Any help/tips/advice on a skincare newbie?!
Hi, everyone! I’m new to Reddit and have a question. What’s everyone’s favorite felt tip eyeliner? My normal go-to is the Too Faced Better Than Sex and I love it, but after a while, the tip starts to spilt. Almost like a paint brush. I love the saturation, but my lines no longer are as crisp or sharp. Any recommendations? I prefer felt tip and matte blacks, but am open to regular liquid or pencils! TIA!
Maybelline Sky High Issue
I have the pink tube mayebelline skin high mascara. It’s my first time using it and after a couple weeks I noticed the little suction part that gets the excess mascara off has wedged its way INTO the tube. I had another tube from my sister so I tore the part out of that one with tweezers and replaced it. Couple weeks later THE SAME THING HAPPENED 😂😂 Has anyone had this happen? Am I crazy? Skill issue?
Hi! I’m new to doing my makeup everyday and need some help. I have been to my local Ulta and Sephora twice each and $50/trip later, I’m still having issues. I moisturize, prime, apply and use setting powder and spray and am still having issues of constant transfer on my hands, phone, clothes, etc throughout the day. It’s also super cakey and just off setting. Anyone been in this situation before and could educate me a bit? Thank you!
so i’ve tried 3 different contours and every time i go to apply it, my foundation gets wiped off underneath. i’ve used a sponge, brush even my fingers to apply it and yea just wipes the foundation off. i’m currently using the estée lauder double wear foundation but it also does the same thing with my dior skin glow foundation, i let it sit for awhile and even tried setting spray but it keeps moving. any tips would be greatly appreciated 😭
Help!! I'm new to makeup and I recently bought this cream foundation and whenever I apply it my relatives would tell me that it's "too thick". The foundation came with a sponge and I would use that to apply to my face and would tap, but even if I pick up less product, they still say that it's too thick. What do I do? Also, other than foundation, whenever I apply setting powder and do my eyebrows and eyeshadow, it keeps on getting smuged by the foundation. I can't tell if I have to leave it on or if it's just the setting powder but even if it is the setting powder I can't really buy a new one since I'm in a budget.
is mascara supposed to make your eyes heavy also how do you prevent clumps? I can’t stand mascara but I love it but it makes me sleepy and hard to blink are lashes any better? I’m still learning them
Hi all! I'm 46 years old and never been great at doing my eye makeup. I would love some eye primer, shadow, liner, and mascara recommendations. I have a skin condition called periorbital dermatitis and my dermatologist recommends mineral products. I also wear contacts, have oily eyelids, and have sparse, short eyelashes. Thanks in advance for any help!
How do people get such flat eyebrows? ive bought eyebrow gel and and an eye brow pencil but they NEVER lay flat?!
Hi! This is my first time doing my makeup and I bought a matte setting spray and a radiant/dewy fixing spray.
Is it possible to use them at the same time? Or would it ruin my makeup bcos one is matte and the other is dewy? Thank you!!
I have always worn glasses. I've been told that I look better with my glasses on. Now I will be using contact lenses. How should I change my eye makeup to make myself look better? I'm a 54 y.o. female, light complexion, hazel eyes, curly blonde/gray hair. All advice is appreciated!
I need help in covering age spots on my face. I don't know what product or how to even apply it if I did. Everything I've tried doesn't work, I can still see them under my makeup. Thanks in advance!
Can anyone tell me if Image SPF (regular one, not the matte one) is considered water based or silicone based? It seems to have both water and silicone pretty high up on the ingredients list. I'm wondering if this why literally every primer : foundation combo I try seems to have issues with separating?
I don't usually wear makeup often, but when I do it's usually when I'm going out, so I need good coverage because I have a lot of redness from acne and hyperpigmentation. Makeup usually doesn't turn out well on my face, maybe it's the application, maybe it's the product. I always prep my skin good because of my dry skin and texture from acne/ large pores. I've recently found a good combo. Hourglass vanish airbrush concealer and the Kimchi puff puff pass powder...but hourglass is so expensive and I would prefer not to apply concealer all over my face. If anyone has any recs for a foundation that is affordable and applies similarly to that concealer that would be amazing! 🙌🏻 I'll take any tips as well for applying foundation properly (brush, puff, etc).
Hi people! I’m new in the makeup world and I want your opinion. I’m planning to buy Huda palette, and I’m thinking between Empowered or Icy Nude palette. Which one do you like better? Thank you :)
