How to do makeup faster?

I absolutely LOVE doing my makeup and find it very therapeutic and love the whole artistry of it. However; I ALWAYS end up going into hyperfocus lose all track of time mode. I like to perfect every last detail. I don’t think it looks complete or polished enough unless I do. But right now I literally only have time to do it after work or when I have a lot of down time, since I do like to do it as a hobby even if I have now where to go. I can spend up to nearly 2 hours doing a full face. Even when i do what I consider an “everyday” look it’s still a good 45 minutes. I’d love to start doing it quicker so I can do it before work, but I’m not willing to wake up 2 hours earlier just to do makeup lol. The handful of times I’ve tried doing it before I end up running behind schedule, because I can’t bring myself to just stop and get out the door if it’s not how I want it.

Any tips or hacks on how to cut down time?

Searching For Flower Beauty Bubbly Dupe

Hi, l absolutely adore the flower beauty dew blush bomb in the shade Bubbly. Unfortunately it has been discontinued in the UK and I haven’t found a single close dupe to it so far.

I know that it’s often compared with the Glossier Cloud Paint in the shade Puff but it pulls different on my skin tone. Bubbly pulls a more of a purple undertone on my skin whereas Puff pulls a lot more pinker.

The shade bubbly was best purplish/pinkish shade on my light-medium yellow olive undertone skin as it gave me the most natural flush like look.

It would be great if anyone could suggest some alternatives! 🩷 thank you

Can we make a rule about no posting with tongues out?

It’s impossible to appreciate your actual make up when you’re being silly or sexual.

While we’re at it, can people look at the camera when asking for help? We cannot tell your eye shape when your face is angled away and your eyes looking up - we truly want to help! Give us something to work with!

Is makeup from TikTok shop legit?

I’ve been wanting to pick up the haus labs blush, it’s 50% off from the company on TikTok shop. However, the fact it’s being sold on TikTok makes me nervous. Do any of you have experience with it? Is it legit and not just knockoffs?

Best spf skin tint?

I’m going on a vacation in a couple days and wanted a light weight skin tint with spf because i’m going to be in the sun. Obviously i’ll wear sunscreen under it still so even a skin tint that won’t melt in the sun would be nice. It’s going to be hot and sweaty so one that can somewhat withstand that. Not looking for full coverage, I just have some acne scars i’d like to somewhat cover.

Nars liquid blush or rare beauty?

I'm really struggling to decide who to buy as I really can't afford both. Rare beauty being so pigmented is definitely a positive but I do have fairly dry skin and I'm scared it'll be hard to work with. Nars looks pretty and probably easier to work with but I don't want something too sheer. Sheer products I just end up using more of and I don't wanna have to repurchase something so expensive very often..

Makeup Help!

I’m not sure how well it shows up on camera but my foundation/concealer have been starting to get extremely patchy in some areas on my face and I was just wondering how I fix that! I have been doing my makeup for around 6 years and have never consistently had this issue - but it does happen once in awhile and i’m not sure if it is because of products or because of skincare so i’ll list both.

Skincare: CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid Prescription Grade Retinol Prescription Strength Acne Cream CeraVe Moisturizer

Makeup Base: Banana Boat Sunscreen (Occasionally) ELF Putty Primer Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Juvia’s Place Concealer Pat McGrath Skin Fetish Pressed Powder (all over face)

After I am completely done with eyeliner n mascara n stuff I set with the Morphe Setting Spray

Any tips or suggestions on what to swap for what or what is causing the patchiness would be greatly appreciated!

Upgrading my brush set from some cheap Amazon ones that were falling apart. Sigma was generous with their GWP! I bought the 12 essentials brush set and three single brushes. The essential trio set, F37 brush, highlighter, and lip gloss were free GWP. Very excited to use them! They are so soft.

Looking for a powder blush similar to Merit Flush Balm in Fox!

Basically the title - Sephora describes this shade as “warm taupe” but I find it looks very rosy and natural on my skin. However, my oily skin eats this blush for breakfast - so I’m looking for a powder blush to layer with this to enhance the longevity. Any ideas?

Comparable products to “Essence Pure Nude” Highlighter or very natural gel/cream highlighter.

Hey, y’all. I want to know if you guys know products similar to the one I mentioned in the title. That one does not work for me. It barely shows up, even when I wet the brush. I feel like it is too natural. Do you know any other products that are not glittery at all but give a subtle glow?

BEST makeup products for dry skin

so as a dry skin melanated girly, i think i’m really close to perfecting my base routine. i’ve been wearing makeup for a long time (had mac in middle school, i was a cheerleader) but if the “filtered look” is a 10, im probably at a 7.5 right now. i have normal to dry skin, but most tutorials i see are for oily skin.

i know to use water based products, but im TIRED of that dewy look. i wanna look matte and airbrushed, but not dry. i have a solid skincare routine and i dermaplane, but looking dewy all the time takes away from that “flawless” look. i’ve been building my new and improved makeup kit for about 8 months now, and i wanna add some must-haves to my stash.

so for the dry skin girls: what are your heaviest hitters in your makeup routine? drugstore and high end recs 💕 thank you!
