One summer in High School, I stayed up every single night to watch the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson after discovering how funny he is. In the episode on July 30, 2008, he answered an email question that I sent in. I'm looking for a video of that email segment.
I have a very low res video of that email segment (I probably grabbed it via youtube-dl the day after), but the audio cuts out during my question. I'd love to have a better copy, or at least a copy where the audio doesn't cut out.
so i found this tv segment that was lost media, it’s about how a great white shark was in an aquarium for 5 days then got released back into the ocean, u can watch it here.
now i’m tryna figure out if the 1968 great white shark thing at manly aquarium was real or not. i found it on this zoochat thread and it mentioned ian “shark” gordon. i tracked it back to this post on the realsurf forum
the problem is i can’t get in contact with ian “shark” gordon at all. like i know he had a show about sharks called shark gordon, but that’s about it. idk if this post was fake or if this actually happened.
if anyone can find more info for me, i’d really appreciate it. thanks!
I remember listening to lester spencer, today i tried to figure out a melody that came to my mind i checked out my spotify playlist there was a song from that album there well it was not here then i checked out my stats.fm account there should be some data about it because i imported my Spotify data into that app well it was there with some external links to it but all links lead to deleted pages then a friend of mine tried to search for it in some piracy and data sharing foruma he could not find it too can someone help me with it. (I have some screenshots in case if u need it)
I used to record really interesting MTV indents and commercials back in the 90s, but when I went to digitize them for my PhD research project some time ago, it turned out my little brother had gone and recorded over nearly half my collection. I was devastated, and have been trawling the Internet Archive, YouTube, and even TikTok for scraps of what I had lost. One such commercial is this one, of which I only remember the last half:
It was an MTV ad/indent/commercial that was hyper-saturated in that 90s fashion. It was staged to look like a funeral, with the procession in a church ending in a close-up of the mound at the grave. I only clearly remember the end bit, in which an old man (presumably the cemetery groundskeeper) is singing Sheryl Crow with "All I wanna do/Is Have Some Fun/I have a feeling/I'm not the only one" while heaping dirt onto the coffin. The camera is looking up at him from the coffin's POV. The camera cuts to a slow pan away from the close-up of the mound of the fresh grave, and you hear a muffled male voice singing "Put me out of my misery" (by Soul Asylum). It's assumed that's the dead person under there singing it. The whole commercial/ad was for MTV, and lyrics for top hits of the time were sung throughout.
I hadn't found it in YouTube MTV commercial compilations over the past several years, and I am afraid it may be lost forever unless I attempt to reach out to MTV staff about where to access commercial/ad archives (if they exist).
These videos have been a haunting memory in my head for years still remember the events happening and everything. For a while forgot the assholes name of who did it. Today stumbled upon a video https://youtu.be/jR6exd-C0jE?si=9YBzBftjd1rhKhs- a youtuber talking about the two channels. The channels were active from 2009- 2011 when the channel was finally terminated. I tried to google to see if anything ever became of the situation only managed to find news snapshots of news coverage talking about the videos. As well as a feed talking about it that's about it. Unfortunately the videos can still be found on the dark web and he still has a channel if him still in youtube hasn't uploaded though in years. Was the dude behind them ever jailed?
There was a YouTube video that was 3 hours long. It was a playlist of songs that fit the dreamcore/weirdcore/liminal space aesthetic. What made the video so special was the way it was formatted and the songs themselves being really good. Each section of songs seemed to have a visual theme and a picture to go along with them. The original uploader has great taste and knows how to present a video.
For some unknown reason the video was removed and it went unnoticed. The hardest part in finding the video was getting the original YouTube url which seemed impossible because no one could remember the name of the uploader (cotanjer :0) since it was pretty unique itself and it’s since been change to something else.
So without the channel url or video url I was out of luck. The video title is super long and there’s so many videos of the same name that it wasn’t worth it. I finally found the url because I remembered saving the video to a music playlist on a YouTube account I used to use. Surely enough it was there but listed as unavailable, I got the url and went to the wayback. Fortunately it was archived and I was able to download it, the excitement I felt was out of this world.
This video means a lot to me, I would put it on daily while I hopped on steam or browsed the web during a point in my life where everything was finally coming together. I thought I was the only one looking for it but I thought wrong! I did a YouTube search for the original uploader and title and found a playlist of the individual songs with a description mentioning the user and video! The playlist owner mentioned that the video was fully lost, the playlist itself had about 12k views so I knew I wasn’t the only one that remembered. I got in touch with the playlist owner and let them know I found the video and reuploaded it. They were nice enough to update the playlist description too so now if anyone tries finding it that’ll help them.
Long post I’m sorry but here’s the link to the reupload. I hope you can enjoy it like many others have!

We literally managed to find Charlie the steak even tho it had only less than 10 videos about it but we can’t find a game with thousands of videos and even available on Netflix? I think I need to know how people find lost media but not even a little bit is recovered? Man that’s crazy and how even a simple talking Tom rip-off has been wanted recovered by people? Man I hope that people will manage to recover Minecraft storymode I really miss the game a lot. OH MY GOD THAT 100 WORDS BOT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY IM ABOUT TO GO INSANE
Hi all, I used to watch a youtuber by the name of NutsGaming that uploaded content centered around being a "Dark Souls Virgin" where he would play the games Dark Souls 3, BloodBorne and general FromSoft games whilst being inexperienced, which led to funny moments and great videos overall.
The videos were actually very popular; he had around 200k subscribers when I last checked on him about a year ago, and his BloodBorne and Dark Souls 3 videos had millions of views to them. I usually get a bit nostalgic and go back to see his old content, but since then he has purged literally every form of his content including his social media.
The videos were well produced; he would heavily edit most his own content, but I remember later on in around 2019-2020 ish he stated he had gotten an editor to do this for him. I don't know exactly when or why he decided to purge everything, but it would be fantastic if anyone could find them because I know for a fact I checked a year back on the waybackmachine and his first episode of DS3 was saved there, but I can no longer find it at all.
If it helps, he used to be called DeezNutsGaming, before changing his name. Thanks all.
Minecraft Comes Alive was a series that was apart of my and many other's childhoods, and due to foresight I gained a while ago after seeing unrelated things disappear, I realized maybe the internet isn't completely permanent after all. I started archiving anything that mattered to me, and this series was one of those things. I used JDownloader 2 to download hoards of YouTube videos for my own personal collection should they ever go offline. One day when remembering this series fondly I wanted to go back and watch a bit of it, before noticing that I couldn't find it at all on YouTube. Knowing how much this series meant to me, I figured it probably meant a lot to others as well, and thus started uploading my collection to The Internet Archive.
However, I've noticed that I'm missing a bunch of episodes. If I remember correctly, it's because they were already missing when I was downloading the series. I'm looking to find these episodes (preferably in the original quality like the rest of the collection, but I'll take anything) so I can complete my collection and have the full series. The missing episodes are as follows: 111, 113, 114, 116, 117, 119, 121, 124, 125, 126, 127, 129, 130, 131, 134, 135, 136, 138, 140, 141, 144, 145, 147, 151, 153, 154, 160, 161, 162, 163, 164, 165, 166, 168, 169, 170, 172, 173, 174, 175, and 176. Thanks to this snapshot of the playlist this series was in, I have the links and titles to all of the missing episodes, just not the actual videos themself. Using this method, I plugged every single link into The Internet Archive and looked at every single snapshot.
In doing so, I was able to recover episodes 128 and 142, (and thus removed them from the list of lost episodes, as well as uploading them to my collection) but the rest remain lost. I know I'm not the only one out there who has archived any of Chrisandthemike's videos. So, does anyone else also happen to have the Minecraft Comes Alive series with the episodes I'm missing?
I was looking on a channel made by one of my family members and I liked the background music so I tried to use Shazam and also tryed to use Google but I couldn’t find anything about the song at all and I was just getting caught in dead ends and nothing to be found, I reuploaded the video on a main channel of mine, so if you can try to find this song for a project of mine that would be very nice, also just wanted to post this if you remember the song nor the backstory about it.
The YouTube video link that I uploaded as the re-post is here: https://youtube.com/shorts/ieSIESLbfZY?si=L9aEJ-ucWrNBPc4b I titled it “Lost Media Song” just to title it something.
in 2009 , rapper Lil B showed interviewer Noz an image of a castle saying that he it was the type of music he wants to make . i am trying to find the original image , but all i could think of was to consult the original article in cocaine blunts , but that blog is not fully archived and i fear that the link may not be on the wayback machine. i am attaching a link to an article about this (under cloud rap heading ) that also has the original blog link . i would appreciate any help in this search as i believe it is important to cloud rap culture even if it is more representative than visually iconic. https://www.factmag.com/2013/07/10/the-fact-dictionary-how-dubstep-juke-cloud-rap-and-many-more-got-their-names/ http://www.cbrap.com/?p=3391
Hello. I am close friends with an old collector (who’s more of a hoarder imo) who lived up in the Boston area for about 20 years and would commonly set up 5+ tape recorders and tape every channel he could get on his TV. He was most interested in anything regarding the JFK assassination, but he kept everything else too. Since he appeared on several TV shows and talk shows, he was also able to acquire the master tapes of his appearances as well as certain other episodes of notable shows such as The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson among others. I know this because of what he’s told me, as well as my experience sorting through some of his stuff. He has about 40 boxes with 30-40 VHS tapes in each. He has 4 storage units full of stuff. He’s also got an unaired episode of Good Night America from 1975.
My question is, what should I look for in this massive collection of tapes, and if I do find something, what should I do with it?
I don’t feel comfortable sharing who exactly the “collector” is or even my identity, because certain people could get mad for me saying certain things.
well i cant explain much of this lost media but i have some things that make this promotion real but i cant find any video, no promotion video, then theres various videos of angry birds promotions, i have some toy from this weird or normal angry birds promotion these are a type of water gun thing, they have little holes to throw water i guess? it may throw another liquid and it says ´´rovio 2009´´ dont know if these are made in that year, and one thing that i dont know, is that theres more chars because i have red and a pig, and i dont know if theres bomb, matilda, chuck, or blues, this is the end please help if you have more of this collection.
I saw a video that’s been going around of a 77-year-old Japanese man, making techno music in his apartment. It’s very charming, and I’m sure a lot of you have seen it by now. I sought out the full news report that the clip was from and found it. In the full report, the man (Bunji Kasai) reveals that his artist name is KASWAI and that he has released an album called FROZEN SWAN on an independent label. (They do not mention the name of the label.) The reporter says the song was “an instant hit” and “recognized overseas” in the techno space. In the linked video the front cover is shown at 6:25 and the back is shown at 7:14. The music playing throughout seems to be Kasai’s work. I would love to hear the CD or learn some additional information on this gent, but it’s proved unreasonably hard to find. Anybody find anything? Thanks!
(sorry for any sintaxis or writing error, English isn't my first language)
Mystic guardian is a mobile RPG, available in both a paid and free version at the play and app store. It isn't by any means a popular game but it has great playability and history, while I was searching for some way to get in contact with the dev team over the online saving feature not working, I stumbled upon the official Facebook account for the game, I scrolled thru it and found that the game used to be called "Lost guardian" and that it had another version, "Lost guardian hyper".
Curious I tried to watch the official trailer linked on the Facebook page but the video is private at YouTube, I searched for LGH at the play store thru the link at said Facebook page, but it lead to a 404 error screen, obviously it wasn't a previous version of any of the currently available games, so I tried downloading an APK file from the internet but it needed to connect with some kind of server, and it gave an error that said that I didn't bought the game and didn't downloaded the necessary files to launch.
After that I searched inside the game files and they are pretty much the same as MG's, also I got 2 game icons and some other screenshots that prove that it was essentially another game, not just the UI is different but it also has quick time events not found in MG.
I have been searching about LGH since last week and I'm not even close to find it, help ;-;
Looking for a 90s European TV Show About Colors (Experimental, No Narration)
Hi everyone, I'm losing my mind over here, so I hope you could help me! I’m searching for an educational TV show I watched as a child in the late 90s, and I’d be incredibly grateful if someone could help identify it. Here’s what I remember:
Short episodes (not sure how long, maybe a few minutes).
Focused on different colors that would "spill" or blend over a white background.
Ambient music in background, no narration or dialogue.
Minimalist and experimental, possibly European production.
So I watched it in the late 90s, but it could be from earlier. I'm from Bosnia, so that was time after the war, and a lot childrens program on TV was from other european countries!
The show left a huge impression on me, and I’d love to find any information about it or watch it again if it’s available somewhere.
If anyone recognizes this or has suggestions on where to look, please let me know!
Thank you!
I was perusing the May 1984 HBO Guide and spotted an entry for something called "Chevy Chase Meets the Kids," a special that was scheduled to air 5 times on HBO. I remember some of the other family programming from that month but I don't recall ever seeing this show.
There is no record of this special on Chevy Chase's IMDB, Wikipedia pages, Letterboxd, or in the filmography on his official website. I can't find it on YouTube or the Internet Archive. The only Google search results are a handful of programming guides from newspapers at the time and a couple references to the HBO Guide itself. I can't confirm for sure if it actually ever aired, but I assume it did.
This is not to be confused with "A Day in the Life of Chevy Chase" (also known as "On Location") that aired on HBO in 1978.
"Chevy Chase Meets the Kids" seems to be part of an extremely short-lived series, as in June '84 there was a "Dolly Parton Meets the Kids" half-hour special that aired four times, and then nothing else under the "Meets the Kids" name ever aired again in 1984. The Dolly Parton episode currently exists on YouTube, but Chevy's episode seems to be lost.
I discovered this rock band called James and the Cold Gun the previous year and wanted to listen to their entire discography, but noticed two of their songs, Two Day Wish and A New Sensation, were nowhere to be found. I know these two songs were available at some point, since the website Genius has their lyrics listed and the songs are hidden on Spotify.
I was hopeful that, since these songs were on streaming before, that someone had them stored somewhere, or would at least recognize them. I've put the links to the Genius listings of the lyrics below, in hopes that it could aid the search. Two Day Wish was released on October 15th, 2019, and A New Sensation was released on March 12th, 2020. The songs were unavailable by 2023, so my estimate is that they became lost between 2020 and 2023.

i remember there was a operation kids next door game and a cow and chicken game. the operation kids next door might have been a metroidvania from what i remember while the cow and chicken one... i didnt play for long
the controls to each game were stiff, because you had to play it with a remote, because it was a tv channel
can you please find it thank you
I am on the hunt. This is an alternative, indie, folkish type song. Similar to the sound of the band Rilo Kiley. The only source of this song I can find is in the movie 'My Suicide (Director's Cut)'. The alternate title of the movie is 'Archie's Final Project'. The film was first released in February 2009, so the song has to be from before then. The movie is on Netflix, at least in America. Judging by the sound of it, I would say it's from the early to mid 2000s, but it has the potential to be from the 90s. The song plays during the conclusion of the movie, being the 3rd to last song played in the film (including the credits). The instrumental is quietly heard building up in the background underneath dialogue before the lyrics begin at 1:42:15.
'Airplanes, Black ties. Some say goodbyes'. 'Black Tea, Clean sheets. ____ ____, ____ ____ ____'
'Oh but you said you drowned...'
The song is not listed in the movie's soundtrack. From the credits, to the soundtrack listed online, to playlists made titled 'My Suicide Soundtrack / Archie's Final Project Soundtrack'. I have googled every possible lyric. I have typed every possible assortment of words into every possible website. I have shazamed it multiple times. No results. I have even gone to the cast member's wikipedia pages seeing if they were ever in any unsuccessful bands. Nothing.
It perplexes me how I cannot find a song that does not just exist in my memory, but a song that I can go listen to in a movie on Netflix. A song that has lyrics LISTED in the subtitles, so I know I am not mishearing them. The lyric after 'Oh but you said you drowned' sounds like something along the lines of 'We live in this town', however it is covered by dialogue as is the blank spaces in my typing out of the lyrics. The song does not seem like something made for the movie, as pretty much the entire soundtrack is made up of previously released songs that would be on the theoretical playlist of the main character, as well as the lyrics not particularly aligning with anything in the movie other than the vibes. If the song is on any streaming service, I assume it would have to be a small or independent band that did not upload any lyrics. Any help with finding this song is vastly appreciated, as I do really love the sound and lyrics of it.

Tim Kasher, main composer from the movie, was contacted and could NOT recognize the song
ORIGINAL POST FROM r/Lostwave
I was scrolling through old yt videos searching for lostwave music and stumbled across this: https://youtu.be/RiGl7iTGGQk?si=9Jm8sfvCDdMVJ-9p
Since the video had practically no comments and just a few views I just helped myself with Shazam. Turns out that It wasn't able to identify it neither after giving it many tries. I have little to no clue what else is left to do since it's a very old video and the song doesn't even have lyrics so it makes things a lot more difficult. Let me hear what you guys think about this
I'll leave here the 5 songs that Shazam gave me:
(I obviously listened to all of them, but they were nothing like the track from the video..)
When I was 6-7 in 2011 and also in 2017, I was obsessed by The Rowdyruff Boys, the male counterparts of the Powerpuff Girls in the original show of 1997.
Many of them got deleted for copyright reasons in 2018-2019 by Turner EST and it still makes me kind of sad now because those videos were so cringe but nostalgic to me. I downloaded them on my old tablet, but It doesn’t work anymore.
For instance I could mention : « RRB’s Memory ».
But the AMV with this backstreet boys song was my favorite! It was uploaded by : https://youtube.com/@swordsinger93?si=klrWm01RJJbwXjX3
If someone has a way to find an archive or else, i would forever be in your debt, due to its personal importance.
I have already tried the waybackmachine, but it does not seem to work.

I'm looking for the classic parody song "Sun Tzu Said" by Group X [a comedic band known for their eccentric style and mock-Middle Eastern accents]. The song became popular in the early days of the internet, particularly on platforms like Newgrounds and Ebaumsworld. I think on youtube it was a cartoon video.
The lyrics hilariously exaggerate and modernize Sun Tzu, portraying him as a cool, mysterious, and almost mythical figure whose strategies are universally applicable — and always "available in any bookstore." The ending line was — "I know half of Sun Tzu’s Art of WAAAAAR!"
I can't find it anywhere. I have tried YouTube, Newgrounds, Ebaumsworld, and Albino Blacksheep without luck. I can find other songs but not that one. Was hoping someone here had an archived copy of it or knew where it was.
There's proof of a wiki page saying that this specific dubbed version of the show exists or at least existed:
https://dubdb.fandom.com/wiki/%E3%83%94%E3%83%BC%E3%83%97%E3%81%A8%E3%81%8A%E3%81%8A%E3%81%8D%E3%81%AA%E3%81%9B%E3%81%8B%E3%81%84
but I haven't been able to find any footage, not a single clip. I've only seen images in Google and in Japanese websites which, again, shows it was aired but I'm not sure if they were about the JP dub. I'm not really good at digging up stuff so I was hoping this subreddit would help me or explain some stuff to me.
I'm new here so I hope this is a decent post. Thank you!
A video I watched on YouTube, around 2014 or a little later. I do not remember the name or the creator of the video. But the grotesque nature really resonated with me.
The video starts out with three friends, two boys and one girl in a studio of some sort. They set the camera where the viewer can see all three people clearly. One of the males position himself on the left side of the room with blue cushioning on his back and on his feet with an apple on his head, and he is standing still. While the other male gets a set of knifes, positioning himself to throw the knifes (presumably at the apple). When he finally throws the knife, it stabs the mans head. The guy immediately goes limp and falls down on his rear, with the blue cushion that was behind him falling down with him. The knife thrower and the girl then looks shocked and the girl covers her mouth with her hands. Then the video is stopped by the guy walking up to the camera and ending the video.
Notes:
The cushions might also have been yellow, I am not exactly sure.
The video takes place inside of what looks like a studio space with brick walls.
Now at the time, this video was pretty shocking and disturbing, and I immediately closed it and didn’t think much of it later on. I am not sure if the video was just an art project or actual gore. However the fact that it was on YouTube is what made it resonate with me. I desperately tried to find it on YouTube, but I am too scared to search the internet and stumble upon actual gore while searching.
If anybody has more information about it, or has also seen it I would really like to know.
Hello, there is a band that was active in the Little Rock, Arkansas in late 90's- early 00's called Between the Second. I discovered them a few years ago via an Evanescence documentary (From a Little Rock to a Great Big Sound, they are also featured in the After Midnight doc as well) and I was hooked.
Sadly, I have only been able to find 3 of their songs from a channel that uploads a bunch of old tapes and radio recordings. I reached out to them and they told me attempts have been made to contact the band members, and allegedly they said they lost all of their music.
I did some digging over the years and have found archives of their website and a ProBoards forum that is still up, but no new accounts can join due to the admin verification process that obviously nobody is keeping up with.
Through these sites I was able to find lyrics, track lists, and the name of their EP, Three Words Will Make Her. I have also found out that two former Evanescence members (John Lecompt and Rocky Gray) were close to them, but when I reached out to them, Rocky said he had none of their music, and John said he might have something, but never got back to me after that.
Reddit mobile is giving me a hard time with linking, so here is a playlist I made of all the BT2 stuff I can find on Youtube. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9gsZT0BVhMNkRzbr1jpQCGeHCFMfPhTc&si=kdq3biD1yITMw1Fg
Their website is available on the Wayback Machine, the URL is betweenthesecond.com and the forum should be linked there. If not, I'll see if I can find it when I'm able to access my computer.
I used to watch tech support trolls on YouTube. This specific one was from around the Xbox 360 era. I don’t recall the name of the channel, but I remember The Cheese Method. This troll convinced a child that his computer wasn’t working properly for one reason or another, and that he had the solution for it. He got the kid into a voice chat of some form and instructed him to pour olive oil and salt on the screen of the family computer to “De-ionize” it or something. The next part is what I most vividly remember. He told the child that he’d need to walk to the kitchen and sneak a block of cheddar cheese past his father. The child is caught, and questioned for bringing a whole block of cheese from the fridge, when he should only need a portion of it to fix the PC. The child then scrubs the family computer’s monitor with the block of cheese. I think he gets the kid to brick his Xbox as well. I know this sounds stupid, but I’ve thought about this video at least once every couple of months. I want to say last time I would’ve seen it was in 2014-2016.
When this song hit it big in late 1989, it was on the radio all the time.
I heard it on Cleveland Ohio top forty stations.
Seemingly overnight, they stopped playing the regular version and instead was replaced with a remix with quotes from George Bush interspersed throughout the song.
I think it was an unofficial remix, no idea the source, but they played it so much that I came to think of it as the default version. Every time I hear that song now, I keep waiting for the quotes but they never come.
Web searches over the years have resulted in nothing. I've seen some blog posts mentioning it, (New Jersey, so it wasn't just localized to Cleveland) but that's all. I'd love to hear this version again.
Anyone else remember this?
I'm trying to find a movie about a group of friends celebrating their friend's birthday. Among the group is a Mexican friend who is a drug dealer, and he brings a lot of cocaine to the party. As the night goes on, the cocaine runs out, and the group is desperate to find an alternative to keep the party going. In response, the Mexican friend offers them a stash of Jenkem that he had stored in a container. The group, eager to keep the energy alive, distributes the Jenkem in balloons to the partygoers. Chaos ensues as everyone at the party starts inhaling the substance. The effects are disastrous, with people vomiting and tweaking uncontrollably, creating a surreal and chaotic atmosphere. The bizarre events spiral further out of control, leaving the group to deal with the absurd consequences of their wild night. I can’t recall the name of the movie!
