It is a little small but I did it!
Hi there. So I am looking into buying a loom to make medium size, to larger size, blankets. I really don't like big holes or gaps in the blanket, and I don't like to use chunky yarn. I prefer to use yarn in either #3 light weight (because I crochet mosaics in this weight) and #4 medium. Which loom would I need to buy that uses these yarn weights, and doesn't cause large holes? Or, which loom would be best to do mosaics on? Thank you.
I finally finished these after working on them slowly over a couple of months. They were made on the Cindwood oval sock loom (64 pegs), toe-up with German short row heels and toes. The pattern is by Amanda Pratt.
Feels like it took 10,000 years, but I am happy with the result. Will probably block it, to even it out.
Little snowman I made a few years back. It was adapted from the loomahat pattern for the tiny kitty. Icord scarf and uwrap the hat. I loved making these but all the sewing at the end could be a little fiddly!
Hi there! Planning on making my Harry Potter loving nephew a Gryffindor scarf. Any suggestions on pattern or stitch to use would be greatly appreciated. Still very new to loom knitting and so far everything has come out lovely, but because this scarf will be compared to a “real” one I want to do my best. Thank you!
I didn't realize how fast I can loom knit! I started this scarf yesterday after I finished my hat! I love how soft it feels!
Hello all, I am new to loom knitting, that is to say I've still not done it yet. And I'd like my first project to be a stocking for Christmas.
But I really want it to be outrageously large. I'd like the foot part to be rather normal maybe a bit larger and then the top part I'd like to be maybe 6 ft.
Has anyone seen a pattern or can anyone help me figure out how to draft my own?
I used my flexiloom (34 pegs) with a garter stitch and some thick & quick yarn. Ears are crocheted.
I started knitting a baby blanket for funsies in a small group class that I'm in today. One of the other members was really impressed and offered to buy it once I'm finished with it. I don't want to overcharge her, but I also don't want to undersell myself. What would be a good way to price the baby blanket? The last time I made one, it took around ten to ten and a half hours.
Third and final pair of socks for now, I think I will try plushies next =).
I revamped a plastic bag holder.. and added a yipyip top
My first ever project. Yes I know it's not perfect!! My Pom pom especially needs cleaned up. I was hoping to get an early start and make several of these for Christmas but I'm a quarter of the way through the second one and my hand really hurts. Any suggestions on how to prevent that?
I’m a crocheter (for a year now) and I’v recently become interested in loom knitting (hoping it’ll be a gateway to traditional knitting). I made one wonky tube sock on a circular loom and then found this at Joann’s https://knittingboard.com/32-peg-basic-loom/ and tried making a sock but it seems too small for a women’s size 7.5. I was using the Patons Kroy sock yarn- would using a bigger yarn make better fitting socks? Maybe a certain stitch works better for increasing size? In crochet you can increase and decrease stitches to change the size of something, is that the same with loom knitting? Also, are there any other patterns I could make with this loom? I tried looking online but I didn’t find much 😕 Thanks for any help!
Does anyone have good sites/videos that will help learn new patterns besides a basic loop and pull bottom loop over top loop (whatever that is called)? For video, PLEASE recommend a video that is meant for learners and is actually understandable! I hate whenever I find a tiktok video and it's very confusing on what they are doing. Same with YouTube videos.
This was on sale for $4 and a really wanted a thick heavy blanket. Well it’s thick alright but not so quick. I’m having to fight this yarn into submission.
